Our room was extremely clean and that seems to be rare in Sri Lanka. There was no humidity marks at all in our room. The outside pool area is just so beautiful. The pool is super clean, went for a great swim. The property is surrounded by rice fields and has plenty of wildlife.The rooms are a little out dated but thats ok since everything else is great and clean. Plenty of workers trimming plants and cleaning property. Breakfast buffet also was great. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

The staff was lovely and so helpful we had dinner there and it was incredibly delicious and beautifull presented with lots of variety and huge portions. - a/c and fan is in the room - clean bedroom and toilet - beautiful garden and view - comfortable bed - quiet place - cute cat - you can request lunch and dinner if you like - beautiful and designed building - nearby the Potgul temple (1km away) In overall we really loved the place 10/10. Even though there wasn't wifi (recommend getting a sim card at the airport). Breakfast is simple but for the price of stay it is really good value! I can highly recommend this place!

I stayed at Lake Park Hotel for two nights, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food was excellent, and the boat ride organized by the hotel was a highlight—well worth the money! The rooms were comfortable and offered stunning views of the lake, making the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

    Staff are fantastic and treated me like royalty - doing everything to make my stay happy and relaxing. They even organized transport and day trip to Sigirya for me. Lots of great local advice, beautiful property and gardens to good for Solo travellers or family. Awesome food as well - I can totally recommend this as a great place to stay - I don't want to leave, and will definitely come back!

    Big clean comfortable room with nice sheets and towels. No noises from Churches etc. at 4am😅. Beautiful big swimming pool. The most delicious homemade food. You are treated like family from the owners. Even I had an Ayurvedic massage and herbal bath wich I recommend highly. Even it was a big room the AC cooled down the room fast.

    I only stayed one night at this property but it is a beautiful property with great service. It’s first class all the way. Modern rooms, great staff, amazing views and close to safaris and other activities that one may be interested in. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth at the Lavendish Wild Safari!

    Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining.

    Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining. At the last stop in Polonnaruwa where you have the temple there was a young man sketching and painting. There was also an older gentleman selling Neem & Jamun tree wood containers and tumblers for keeping water in the night and drinking in the morning Neem for better all over health & Jamun for decreasing blood sugar.

    Amazing, smaller national park.

    Amazing, smaller national park. More of a wild, intimate experience than it's massively over subscribed cousins. We were in very close contact with a family of elephants, (including baby) for at least 20 mins before another jeep arrived, and then it was only just the two vehicles.

    This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the resort than in Polonnaruwa. A guest could stay here for many days as the ground are huge and relaxing. Pool and spa are kept spotless by a dedicated person that has been doing ot proudly for over 21 years.

    The ancient city of Polonnaruwa has a lot to offer to the tourists who want to know about the history of Sri Lanka. It has so many ruins and monuments to view, and especially marvel at the stone crafting abilities of ancient Sri Lankans who have created so many buddhist states and artistic monuments by using rocks. Definitely a trip to add to your bucket list.

    Lovely national park, clean, quiet compared to other parks in Sri Lanka. Fairly priced entrance fee, guide joins you on the jeep, but optional to tip them. Ours was superb and pointed out many things we would have missed otherwise.

    The ancient ruins are a wonder to visit.

    The ancient ruins are a wonder to visit. Some great knowledgeable guides available. A few crooks about aggressively selling their Tuk Tuk and bicycle hire to be beware of. Our guide was sadly threatened and intimidated by these bullysome men.
