In terms of location, style, room design, the owner's attention to details, food, staff, organization - this is the best place I've stayed in in Sri Lanka. and it’s especially incredible that all this was in a relict forest, where it was obviously much more difficult to organize everything at this high level. The atmosphere of the place and the energy of the people working in this hotel are amazing. Upon arrival, Ice tea was like a friendly gesture, a flower on the table, cool room design, floor-to-ceiling windows, a view of the pond with water lilies in the fog in the morning - indescribable. very very tasty and varied breakfasts and generally very tasty prepared food. the best owner Prasad who's meeting guests like old friend and always in touch and manager of the restaurant Tikiriki, and wonderful women who work for our pleasure. We enjoyed our stay so much. The quietness, the nature, the view on the mountain from balcony. Super nice staff. We walked from hotel 2 km to sinharaya rainforest unesco heritage entrance. We were mesmerized by the nature in the rainforest and the surrounding. The hotel is a Super place.

We had a wonderful time at Sinharaja Forest Lodge! The room was very comfortable and clean, with a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxing. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning. The lodge is beautifully surrounded by tea plantations, and the morning views are simply stunning. A perfect place for nature lovers. Highly recommended!

We loved everything about the place: the family who runs it, the food, the river and the wildlife around. It was one of our most memorable stays in Sri Lanka. Shahara was great to communicate with and helped to arrange both a day and a night trek in the rainforest with wonderful guides. Highly recommend!

Very kind and welcoming people. Saman is an excellent guide and knows the forest very well. We saw a lot of animals including monkeys and rare snakes. His wife made us plenty of food and was always happy to assist us. And the view from the room is amazing.

Where to start? Hemal is such a such a kind guy and the best host you can imagine. It’s a new hotel so I was happy to be the first client. The hotel is at the entrance of the park and besides the great and spacious rooms as well as great food made by his wife, Hemal is an awesome forst guide that spots animals from a distance away! I did both the night tour seeing loris, scorpions, deer and snakes etc. (be silent while he’s spotting) as well as day tour with a.o. endangered monkeys and a beautiful waterfall. Also, from the terraces you can spot a lot of peacocks and other birds in the front of the stay. He also helped me arrange a taxi a good price back. 200% worth the visit!
