I came to Fes having no accommodation & plans and found that place right in the medina. Located just by the main street, great price and high level of all essential facilities: spacious, clean room with an air conditioner, private bathroom, lovely terrace on top of the roof, delicious breakfast and very friendly host. 10/10

Staying at Riad Jnane Fes Medina & Luxury Palace was one of the highlights of my trip to fez. The riad itself is stunning , a perfect blend of traditional Moroccan charm and modern comfort. But what made the stay truly special was the staff. Kenza welcomed us with the warmest smile and made me feel at home immediatly. Mostapha was equally wonderful --always attentive , and ready to help with anything i needed ,from directions to recommandations. Thanks to them, my time in fez felt effortless and memorable. Highly recommend this riad to anyone visiting the city.

Our stay at Riad Serendipity was simply wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Sebastian, Nazha, and Selma were incredibly kind and welcoming — their hospitality made all the difference. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and full of local flavors. A special thanks to Nazha Selma and Sebastian who took such great care of us and made every moment special. The riad has such a warm, familiar atmosphere, and the price–value ratio is excellent. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended! + thank you to Adil who gave us a spin!

Palais Medina and Spa is a top-notch hotel that is perfect for those who want to experience the beautiful city of Fez. The highlight of the hotel is the amazing terrace overlooking the beautiful medina of Fez, which is a great spot to relax with a cup of coffee while taking in the breathtaking views. The room is modern and clean with all the necessary amenities, including a bathtub in the toilet, which is a great touch. It is evident that the hotel management takes cleanliness seriously, and the rooms are immaculately cleaned every day. Another notable feature of the hotel is its proximity to a large shopping mall and McDonald's, which is perfect for those who want to explore the modern side of Fez. It is also convenient for those who want to grab a quick meal or do some shopping. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and they assisted us with arranging a taxi service to the CTM bus station of Fez, which saved us a lot of trouble. The staff was always available to answer our questions and ensured that we had a comfortable stay. In conclusion, Palais Medina and Spa is recommended for travellers looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Fez. The beautiful terrace, modern rooms, proximity to shopping malls and great service from the staff make it a great choice for anyone visiting Fez.

I had a wonderful time at Hotel Menzeh Zalagh and I am very grateful for my stay there. Both of the rooms in which I stayed were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The beds were super comfortable and the mini fridge was unbelievably convenient. Each room also had a balcony with a beautiful view - this was a really nice touch and allowed me to soak up the atmosphere and relax. The rooms also had a desk which I personally found really helpful to use when going through emails and doing my skincare. I also really enjoyed the food that I had in the hotel. The breakfast selection is varied with a mixture of hot and cold items. There are also pastries and a coffee machine. The hotel Pizzeria restaurant was my preferred go to for my evening meals and I would absolutely recommend the steak dish - it was so so so good and I wish I could have some right now! Finally, I have to give a special mention to the staff of this hotel who made me feel so welcomed and looked after. I met multiple staff members during my stay and all of them were so kind and helpful. It was reassuring to know that I had someone to call upon if I needed help. This is a really nice hotel and it is one that I would love to visit again whether on my own or with my family.

We had a nice stay overall. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities we needed. It’s conveniently located near minimarkets, which was great for quick purchases. A particularly nice touch was the presence of a sandbox/play area for kids—it made it easier to relax while the little ones had fun. The property has good features like a dual shower and dryer, although the bathroom space was a bit tight. There were also a few ants near the entrance, which could be improved. Still, the positives outweighed the small issues, and we appreciated the thoughtful family-friendly setup. Would recommend for families looking for a practical and comfortable stay.

This was the nicest place we stayed in our entire Morocco trip! The staff were truly exceptional, the view was outstanding and the overall hotel was faultless. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. We ate the set menu of locally sourced Moroccan food every night and it was the best we had on our trip, with something new and fresh everyday. The breakfast was also wonderful. All of the staff were fabulous and couldn’t do enough for us, a big thanks to Fatiha, Alaa, Kaoutar, Wahib, Mehdi and especially Hamza who despite our terrible french went above and beyond. Gorgeous pool, incredible sunset and a truly unique location.

The breakfast is excellent, as you would expect from a 5 star hotel, but what made Hotel Sahrai stand out for us was their human side. Mrs. Semira applied a traditional remedy to our 8-year-old daughter with a fever. After which she kissed her on the forehead. My wife and I will be forever grateful. And of course, the General Manager, Mrs. Lamiaâ Boujnini, who organized a wonderful in-room dinner for us and took on a difficult assignment I asked for some handmade leather goods. We couldn't leave the hotel but they made everything easy and comfortable for us. Thank you.

The decor and furniture inside the riad are unbelievable. Everywhere you went it was visually amazing. The Medina is the big draw here and one could spend a whole day just wandering amongst the many alleyways and shops taking in the atmosphere, sights and sounds. That said there is a lot of repetitive tourist tat and fruit\meat stalls. I was disappointed by the tannery, not much work going on outside (supposedly now all done inside) though there was hardly any smell. Surprisingly we were not hassled too much by any shop owner and haggling for a lower price was not aggressive. One day is enough in Fes and add another day for a trip out to Volubilis and you're done IMHO. We stayed 3 days in all and this was more than enough.

Peculiar European style roof houses for sliding the melted ice, calm, quiet and very comfortable hotels available, especially I highly recommend MICHLIFEN RESORT. Hotel staff was very obedient, punctual. Hotel surrounding, forest tour by walk.. Deep inside, a visit to a small lake for a short picnic, smaller town comparatively and a short centre ville visit are special moments in 4 days visit. A retirement town. I breathed most clean air in the whole of my life. Very clean town.. I always used to rate some rural area of Sub Saharan Africa as the best for good air quality but now my new option is IFRANE of this beautiful country "MOROCCO".

Not much happening in this town.

Not much happening in this town. Hard to find good restaurants. Most places seem to serve fast food. Probably the biggest draw is the proximity to Ifrane National Park and the famous Barbary macaques. They are easily spotted on the road N13 leading into town mainly because people like to feed them there so there are plenty to see.

A Hidden Gem for Peace and Tranquility

A Hidden Gem for Peace and Tranquility Nestled far from the hustle and bustle of modern cities, this town offers a serene retreat into a simpler, more peaceful way of life. The charm of the town lies in its timeless atmosphere, where modernity is far from the priority. Here, life moves at a slower pace. The architecture of Moulay Idriss mosque is nothing short of breathtaking, The intricate tiles and majestic arches tell stories of a rich cultural heritage, while the fountains within the mosque add a sense of tranquility and spiritual serenity. It’s a place where you can spend hours marveling at the craftsmanship and feeling completely at peace. The landscapes are equally captivating, with vast stretches of olive trees dotting the hillsides. What makes this town even more special is its people — respectful , down to earth and welcoming, they embody the warmth of a culture that values tradition and hospitality. There’s no fuss here, just a genuine sense of community.

Booking. Com is very hard to write a review in the system, it deleted all my long descriptions. The accommodation was wonderful and welcoming. The 15th century palace in the middle of the 9000 Fez alleyways was stunning and beautiful. The staff was exceptional and helpful and quickly became friends. Interesting medina, market and main square. Short (free) visit to mausoleum is main event, otherwise not a lot to do. Probably 1 day/night is sufficient. Use as a base for half day visit to Volubolis. Limited decent restaurants , most are in Riads. A restaurant with a terrace with nice views exists on inside of gateway near main gate

Ifrane is a small town so choices for food outside of the few hotels are limited. We like to take drives in the countryside each day and then return to town. There are a few very nice parks to walk through. Especially Ain Vittel on the outskirts of town.
