Was the best place we came across during our entire trip. The staff was not normal friendly, even made dinner for us really late and we only saw the day after that they already had close the kitchen for a long time. The decoration of this place is amazing, same for the food but the staff is the best!

My husband and I were visiting Morocco for 3 weeks. When we entered the gates of Domaine Villate Limoune we felt like we were in a different world! It was like coming across an unexpected oasis - it was beautiful.
The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were upgraded to the Royal suite which was a wonderful surprise, but this wasn't just a suite. It was a completely separate area from the rest of the hotel. The suite had a bedroom, a dining area and a huge sitting area for at least 20 people. Outside, there was a private pool, outdoor seating, a separate building with a pool table, grand piano, bar, music system and many more facilities. This was an excellent area for a variety of functions - I wish we had all our family with us!
The hotel and restaurant area were very elegant and decorated to a very high standard. There were 3 more pools, a spa, a mini zoo, quad biking and horse riding. We were only there for 2 days and I am sure there were other activities and facilities we hadn't discovered. It was a very peaceful and relaxing place.
Overall, this hotel was totally unexpected, beautiful, unique, a very high standard with efficient and friendly staff. Staying here was one of the highlights of our time in Morocco and we would love to come back for a much longer stay.

This hotel is really a knock-out place for a trip to see the glorious settlements of Morocco. Each room is unique and styled to the local atmosphere, and the whole place is within a lush garden setting with narrow pools, peacocks and various Morrocan artifacts and artwork. The food is high class, Morrocan gourmet cuisine. Try the beef tangine with pear for an excellent dinner. The staff is always helpful for anything you might need. The spa is nice for a good relax and treatments. We went on a tour of the city that was arranged by the hotel, which I would highly recommend. They take you on a horse drawn carriage to the walled city and lunch within the Kasbah. Great place for relaxation and discovering Morocco!

It is absolutely fabulous location and place. I cant express how much i am recommending to use an opportunity to stay there if you happen to pass by. It is worth making particular planning to stay there whilst travelling around the country.
And make sure you reserve at least couple hours of your time to spend around the palace and gardens itself as well as paintings and museum of Claudio Bravo. We are most thankful for two gentlemen ( i am very sorry of having lost their good names...) who have been looking after us during our short stay. Also recommending dinner to be pre booked.

Very nice hotel. The hotel beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are bright thanks to the ingenuity of the architecture. We stayed in a suite and the private garden was well landscaped and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We also had dinner and it was really delicious. My favorite was the soup and marmalade cake.
Mohamed Ali, Jawed and all the staff are pleasant, friendly and made us feel very welcome. There is no laundry service, but when I asked they washed and were very helpful.

This, for me, was the best place we stayed in over 2 weeks of touring. The design and skilled craftsmanship in the Palace was breathtaking and we were enveloped in warm hospitality by all the staff. Great dinner and breakfast also.

We loved Taroudant, particularly the people who are so...
We loved Taroudant, particularly the people who are so friendly! The wall surrounding the city is most impressive! I was expecting an older city however it all seems quite modern, to my eyes anyway. There are plenty of places to eat, just be aware that it is a predominantly alcohol free area, with only a couple of the more expensive places on the outskirts of the city selling wine etc. Unfortunately the local Berber souk had a big fire on our first day there so it was closed. The artisan souk was fab however you do have a bit of hassle at times but not excessive. It sold everything from leather work to jewellery, clothing, spices, and a lot of antique bits. Bartering is expected and necessary as a lot of prices, which you have to ask, are inflated so do your homework first if you want to buy anything.
We took an hours horse and carriage ride around the city which was well worth it. Check the horses carefully first though as some are better cared for than others. Taroudant is more of a stopover place than a holiday destination and could probably be covered in two full days. That said we were there for four days and had a wonderful relaxing time, mostly sitting in the square, sipping fresh mint tea and watching the world go by.

The Host at the hotel was exceptional.
The Host at the hotel was exceptional. We couldn’t speak his language nor us, his, but he managed to show us how the property was before it was renovated. It is a stunning place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

The oasis is nice and you get to know how the local people...
The oasis is nice and you get to know how the local people live. Apart from wandring round there isn't much to do, but the place has its unique atmosphere which is worth experiencing. Getting there is an adventure though as the road is better suited for 4x4 cars, however we managed to get there with our rented car which wasn't 4x4 without any issues (Dacia Logan). The host is friendly and the food was nice.

We expect that the lack of a heartfelt welcome and magnanimous warmth and generosity was absent as the staff were home alone with the owner elsewhere!
We were shuffled to our cold bedrooms and it was lights out!
In the morning the expected wonderful breakfast it didn't materialise and was served 20 minutes late despite the owner informing us by email to expect it at 8:30. What was offered was a cheap white bead 'stick', some bought jams and watery coffee. 3 bananas.

Interesting town with souks and a historical setting where Ali Baba the original film was shot .
A local man attached himself to us and ended up giving an informal guided tour. The restaurant we had a lunch was tasty and not expensive. We missed a horse candle cart tour offered at our hotel which would have been better use of our time and visit.
