Staff are very friendly and helpful. Beach is a minute away. Honestly, one of the best places I have ever stayed at, I was really sorry to leave so early and would have stayed longer if I knew what a gem of a place this is.

Every detail is thoughtfully considered. The rooms are cleaned twice a day, and we were pleasantly surprised to find small daily gifts left in the room, along with a consistent replenishment of coffee, tea, and bottled water. Everything is sparkling clean, and the private beach is just a few steps away.
Breakfast was a true highlight: a diverse and high-quality selection, with fresh juices, Prosecco, and à la carte options available at no extra charge. The food was always fresh, delicious, and presented with care.
We also appreciated the efficient and high-quality room service, which added even more comfort to our stay.
We can’t wait to return, it's a true gem

This is the coolest hotel owner I have ever met. Sasha was incredibly kind, polite, responsive. He did everything to make my stay as comfortable as possible. For booking 2 nights, he offered a free transfer. This unique selling proposition distinguishes him from competitors.
The room is equipped with everything you need (WC, refrigerator, TV, kettle, hair dryer, iron, slippers and even coffee with sweets and a croissant). Excellent terrace. Excellent location 100 meters from Porto Montenegro. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The cleanliness stood out as my room was spotless, and the common areas well-maintained. The staff were attentive and made me feel right at home. I appreciated the kosher food options; the breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. While the location is a bit farther from the Porto waterfront than I anticipated, it’s still manageable on foot, and the serene surroundings make up for it. The multiple buildings give the property a unique charm, though navigating between them can be slightly confusing at first.

I was in Montenegro for 10 days, visiting over 5 places. I am so happy I decided to spend my last few days here. This is the absolute best accommodation I had during my trip!
Location: not too central, relatively quiet, yet everything easily reachable
Facilities: own brilliant balcony, good AC
Personale: the people working here did an outstanding job to make my stay as enjoyable as possible.
I can't recommend this hotel enough.

After spending some time in Tivat, living near Porto...
After spending some time in Tivat, living near Porto Montenegro — I can say it’s one of the most pleasant places I’ve stayed. The living here combines the best of a small coastal town and a lively, comfortable city.
You get the sea, the yachts, the walking promenade, beautiful views of the bay and mountains — all just minutes from your apartment. Shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and everyday amenities are right nearby, making life easy and convenient.
The climate, the sea breeze, the calm rhythms of life and friendly locals create a sense of peace and balance. It’s a perfect place if you want to be productive and at the same time enjoy relaxed Mediterranean living.
For me — it’s a spot where hustle and comfort meet, where work and lifestyle find a smart balance. Tivat near Porto Montenegro feels like home and inspiration at the same time.

The town was a big disappointment — the beach feels like a construction site, with houses and villas built right up to the shoreline. No natural shade, lots of concrete, and sharp stones when entering the water. Restaurants are overpriced with bland food. The price–quality ratio is terrible, and I wouldn’t return.

I found the town itself not quite my vibe but the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. When I need to come back I will make sure to rent a car so I an explore more. The town is a great base for that with everything you need for convenience. Just not much to do in itself but great as a base to explore the region I think. I did find a nice ancient Roman path with ruins just walking distance from my accommodation. It wasn’t mentioned on google maps or in local signage. But that was special.

Tivat is a gorgeous town with the original town with few shops and bars/restaurants used by the locals. Porto Montenegro is a modern part of the town with lovely restaurants, designer shops and great facilities - still reasonable food and friendly staff. Tivat is a great base to explore the coastal resorts including Perast, Kotor, Budva etc.
Public transport is not great so would recommend hiring a car - plenty of parking everywhere (although do your research to find the better car parks in each town as there are some dodgy private car parks which we managed to avoid).

A scenic place, some places for sightseeing and hiking are close or reachable by car or taxi. The place is not overcrowded and beaches less busy than in Tivat and Kotor. I would recommend to those willing to be outside the crowds.

I recently spent a few days in Tivat, Montenegro, and honestly, I was surprised by how much I fell in love with this little coastal town. It’s small, calm, and effortlessly beautiful — the kind of place that doesn’t try too hard to impress you but still totally does.
The first thing that caught my eye was Porto Montenegro. It’s stunning — full of fancy yachts, chic restaurants, and designer shops, but somehow it doesn’t feel pretentious. I loved walking along the marina in the evenings, gelato in hand, watching the sun dip behind the mountains. It’s glamorous, sure, but also relaxed in that easy Mediterranean way.
One of my favorite days was spent at Plavi Horizonti Beach. The water there is ridiculously clear, and it’s shallow enough to just float around for hours. I also took a quick hike up Vrmac Hill, which gave me the most incredible views over the Bay of Kotor — definitely worth the effort!
What I really appreciated about Tivat was the balance. You can have a fancy dinner overlooking the marina one night, and the next, enjoy a quiet meal at a local restaurant where the seafood tastes like it came straight from the ocean (because it probably did). Agape (in Porto) was my absolute favourite. 1000/10.
Tivat might not be as famous as Kotor or Budva, but that’s part of its charm. It feels peaceful, safe, and genuinely welcoming. If you’re looking for a place to slow down, soak up some sun, and enjoy good food with even better views, Tivat is absolutely worth adding to your travel list.
