Such a wonderful find! Art everywhere, and etherything is done with the upmost taste and care. The Best Boutique Suites in Madagascar? Wonderful restaurant downstairs. Gourmet dinners, served at a high level Phenomenal personal care from the entire staff. . The head waiter even walked me 700 meters to a store to help me find a bottle of rum! Lovely views of the city. They arranged our taxi transport which was very helpful. Highly recommended.

We chose this hotel because it was so close to the airport. We didn't have high expectations, but what a pleasant stay that was! The rooms are really comfortable. The restaurant offers excellent food. The shuttle to and from the airport is working perfectly. You can check-out till 12 am, which was perfect for our flight. We really have nothing to complain about our stay!

Eliene was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. Thanks to her support, I was able to take the taxi-brousse to Morondava. The room was quiet and very comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water. There are a few small shops nearby where you can easily buy food and drinks, and the town center is also within walking distance. I really appreciated the warm hospitality and would happily stay here again. I can truly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tana!

An oasis of peace to recharge after long journeys. We appreciated the spaciousness of the room and bathroom, the cleanliness, the kindness of the staff, always ready to resolve any issues, and especially the spa area: a very large, 1.30-meter-deep pool, a gym, a sauna, and a hammam. The cuisine at La Canopée restaurant, with its adjoining terrace, was excellent.

The hotel has an old-fashioned Grand Hotel Budapest type of vibe, especially with all the facilities like spa, pool, bakery in the hotel etc. I absolutely loved the quality of service, the care provided, and the experience of staying there. I'd definitely come back and would recommend it for the stay not only because it's comfortable and central, but because it has a special vibe and makes an experience special. I used their spa twice and it was a great experience! So do go for that massage, a swim, or a facial!

We booked this hotel because of the location, and because it had an outdoor swimming pool. Now, due to the current unrest in Antananarivo, we didn't leave the hotel much, but we didn't feel we needed to! We enjoyed the pool, the surprising hammam (steam bath) and the great view from the balcony and pool area. The food was so good that we had no problems eating all our meals there. The staff was very friendly and one of them is even a fellow chess enthusiast.

Sole hotel is perfectly located in the city, full of life during the day, quiet at night. The hotel has such friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. The room was perfect with wardrobe, desk and fridge. The hotel has a restaurant and a nice terrace at the top. English is also spoken at the hotel. I would highly recommend Sole Hotel for your stay in Antananarivo.

Tana has certainly nice area’s, but the center is very crowded and dirty. Not the prettiest place we have been, although the Kings palace (north of Tana), queens palace, marche artisanal de la digue are worth visiting. We did not spent a lot of time in Tana, it was the beginning and end of our trip west and back with rental 4 wheel drive. Maybe next time …

Not many bars/restaurants to choose among.

Not many bars/restaurants to choose among. Some roads are not even asphalted yet. Most of properties look like prisons due to the barbed wire on the walls of houses. You are about 50 minutes driving far from the city centre, but close to Croc farm, worth a visit.

I spent two days in Tana.

I spent two days in Tana. The first day, I rested in my room, by the pool, got a massage and relaxed on the balcony at sunset. Then I chatted with the friendly staff at the bar until bedtime. On day two, I had a very good guide and driver who took me around the city. I'm so glad we visited the markets, and the Queen's Palace!

I loved the visit of the Queens' palace! People in Antananarivo are very friendly, driving is smooth and seems safer than many other cities! Life is also affordable with a viety of different items you might need.
