NetherlandsThe hotel has a perfect location where it is relatively dry. It is located by the sea and with less than 50 metres' walk you step into the sea. It also has a nice swimming pool with plenty of beds and umbrellas. Do you (like us) have a studio on the ground floor? Then you walk straight from your studio trough the well maintained garde. to the pool. Lovely!
Our spacious room (deluxe studio) was fully equipped and included a large double bed, air conditioning, safe, flatscreen tv, spacious bathroom with rain shower, a kitchenette and a nice outdoor seating area behind the sliding glass doors.
Together with the super friendly staff; reception, cleaning and security makes this the perfect hotel to stay at. We felt very welcome for the past two weeks!
What I almost forget is the restaurant Le Skipper. You have a fantastic sea view there, you can have a great dinner and you walk from your studio to the restaurant in a minute every morning for breakfast with a view. The restaurant staff are super friendly here too!
Don't hesitate, book immediately :) We will definitely come back.

We opted for the halfboard option and found the 3 course dinner menu options each night was interesting and delicious!
The Staff in all areas from Reception, to Restaurant & house keeping were friendly, welcoming & accommodating. I was impressed that the waiters took note of our food allergies too and remembered their throughout our trip.
Avoid buying anything or booking boat trips from passing guys on the beach. Rather ask the hotel first upon your arrival. The paddle boats and clothing / food kiosks in the park or parking are fine.

A hotel that exceeded all expectations! An amazing hotel with a warm and professional approach from the staff, who took care of every need we had. The room was beautiful with a sea view, clean, and with comfortable beds. The breakfast was varied, served as a rich buffet. The hotel had a great atmosphere where we always felt comfortable. There were excellent facilities for children, including a playground and a playroom that was open not only during the day but also for a while in the evening, so parents could enjoy a quiet dinner. Almost every evening, there was an entertainment program for both children and adults. Since we also needed to work remotely from the hotel, we requested a room with good internet coverage. The reception provided us with a special router that was for our use only, and it worked perfectly for our remote work needs. We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for high-quality accommodation at a very good price. The hotel is within walking distance of one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius, Mont Choisy Beach.

We got a wonderful room with a terrace facing the beach. The room is spacious, cozy, and very clean. The bed is extremely comfortable! The hotel grounds have many green areas—well-maintained and spacious. You’ll always find a sunbed on the beach, as well as by the pool. The beach is clean and maintained daily. The food is delicious—there isn’t an overwhelming variety, but every dish is perfect! It’s great that snorkeling and glass-bottom boat trips are included!

It looks even better in person the pictures don’t do it justice, the location is perfect, close proximity to beaches, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, gas stations and more… yet so quite and homely once you’re inside the villa…the staff were great with us and made sure we had an amazing stay, would recommend this villa to anyone looking for accommodation in Mauritius and I’ll definitely be coming back, thank you Marcus & staff for your amazing service✨

The resort and the people working there were phenomenal. Special thanks to Rubesh from guest relations who went above and beyond to make our stay, check in and check out comfortable and smooth. Everyone was very friendly and the service was at 5 stars. We were celebrating my 30th birthday there and they made a special cake for me. The food was also amazing. Good beach, delicious food, beatiful surroundings, very comfortable giant bed? not many animations hence quite peaceful, you can try paddle, kayaking, surfing, etc, a lot animals on the property - crabs by the river, numerous birds, a family of ducks, even flying foxes.

Trou aux Biches is one of my favourite beaches in Mauritius. The sand is soft and white, and the water is crystal clear, calm, and perfect for swimming. It’s an ideal spot for relaxing and admiring the sunset.
The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, making it suitable for couples, families, and solo visitors.
With easy access to nearby restaurants, food stalls, and facilities, Trou aux Biches Beach offers the perfect balance between natural beauty and convenience. A must-visit beach when in Mauritius.

Short tips: Take your meds for allergies. I had a allergy day 1 and it really spoils the fun. The nurse Sarista is really amazing there but you don't want to struggle. TAKE MEDS to prevent.
Pack your running shoes. The gym is GREAT or go for a jog, because you eat a lot.
Bring a digestive and or something for indigestion and heartburn. You eat a LOT!
Don't forget your SPF.
Dress up clothes for the evenings. You would want to look smart at dinner. There is something about the events and atmosphere at night.

We had a wonderful stay at Rate Pereybere Beach Paradise. Roshini was an exceptional host who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. The apartment itself is spacious, beautifully maintained, and truly feels like a home away from home. It’s equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, and while a dishwasher would be a welcome addition, we honestly couldn’t find fault with anything. Highly recommended for anyone looking for the perfect beachside getaway.

Balaclava is not the most lively part of Mauritius which suited us perfectly. It consists mostly of vegetable fields, forests and small hamlets. The coast is getting developed with hotels but each is keeping its space so it doesn't feel crowded. You need to rent a car or get a taxi to visit the nearest town, Pamplemousses. There you have the old sugar factory, botanical gardens and a very pleasant shopping mall with a food supermarket.

The beach of Mon Choisy is a long sunny sandy beach nice for swimming. During October to March it is hot there but the sea is great for swimming. However during these months some cyclones may also visit the Island ! Other months are also sunny and the climate are cooler around 24c during the day. In weekdays the beach is calm and it is not crowded. However during Sundays and public holidays locals are there and it is very crowded but as it is a long beach there is still some space for everyone. On Sundays expect loud music from loudspeakers by some picknickers though there is law about it but it is rarely respected. There are also many stray dogs on the beach but they are not aggresive.

It was a disappointment from day one.
It was a disappointment from day one.
After we realized that the proposed and booked room didn’t match reality, (had no kitchenette, no private entrance and no fireplace) .
Hotel staff was ok, but not great.
Recorded two incidents where dead insects where at the dining area and beside food at the open kitchen in the restaurant.
General manager never spoke with us, staff apologized and gave us an upgrade to all inclusive from our half board booking (breakfast and Dinner).
Overall an ok experience but clearly no 5 stars. More like 3 stars. We also stayed at Le meridien in Dubai, which is a different league and much much better and customers friendly than Mauritius.
We were happy when we left the place in Mauritius and won’t recommend Le Meriden there to anyone.

There is a large public beach a few minutes walk away which has all the local facilities. Beach shacks selling local food and fresh fruit juices.
The local people were all very friendly and the taxi rank nearby was ideal for planning trips.

Roches Noires is a nice place.
Roches Noires is a nice place. Keep in mind that in our summer (july / august) it is winter over there and the east coast will have a constant breeze (up to 4 BFT).
Having a rental car we found that almost all of the days we would drive to the west or south coast as there is no wind on that side during their winter.
