The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time.
The hotel’s facilities were impressive as well. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning with a wide variety of fresh options.
The location was perfect—conveniently close to the beach but tucked away enough to provide a peaceful retreat. I also appreciated the complimentary shuttle service, which was provided when I left the hotel.
Overall, my stay exceeded all expectations. The combination of exceptional service, comfort, and amenities made for a truly memorable experience. I look forward to returning and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

The room was spacious, with a stunning view of the sea, and equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Overall, the experience was mixed. The positives included the cleanliness of the room and the convenient location of the hotel near the beach. We enjoyed excellent service at the hotel restaurant, where culinary masterpieces simply amazed the imagination. And how they celebrated my birthday, you have to see it to believe it. We will definitely come back here again and again!

From the very first moment, we arrived at the airport and met the Kandolhu team until our departure. Every detail of our stay was flawlessly orchestrated to create an exceptional experience. Though we stayed for only three nights, the warmth, professionalism, and excellence of the team made it truly unforgettable.
Location: The journey itself is part of the magic—just a 20-minute scenic seaplane flight followed by a short 5-10 minute boat ride that transports you to this paradise.
The Island: Small, serene, and breathtakingly beautiful, Kandolhu is the epitome of a private island retreat.
The Resort: Thoughtfully designed with just 30 villas, the property balances exclusivity and comfort. It offers five outstanding restaurants, a stylish bar, a well-equipped gym, a serene spa, and a sea activities center—ensuring that every guest finds their own perfect way to unwind.
Our Villa: We chose an overwater villa, and it exceeded all expectations. With a private pool and direct sea access, it provided the perfect blend of luxury and tranquillity.
Staff & Service: The essence of true hospitality is mastered here. The team anticipated our needs before we even realized them, creating a seamless, highly personalized experience. Their warmth and attention to detail set a new benchmark for excellence.
Dining: A standing ovation to the executive chef, sous-chefs, and the entire culinary team. The food was fresh, inventive, and packed with flavour. With five distinct restaurants—offering Mexican-Peruvian, Mediterranean, Japanese, Sea Grill, and an all-day dining option—every meal was a delightful journey of taste.
Spa: We had the 'couple ritual'. A sanctuary of relaxation, the spa at Kandolhu offers a truly rejuvenating experience. With expert therapists, soothing treatments, and a tranquil setting, every session feels like a retreat within a retreat—perfect for unwinding and embracing the island’s serenity.

Veligandu is an extraordinary resort for people looking for a totally peaceful holiday without people shouting, kids screaming around and loud music. It’s truly heaven if you’re looking for silence and complete relaxation. However if you’re someone looking for some partying and/or want to take small kids with you, this is not the most appropriate resort (fortunately).
The best thing about Veligandu is the food. Every single meal is a 10/10, high quality ingredients and carefully prepared meals. It makes Veligandu on par with many fine dining and even Michelin guide restaurants across the world, even beating some of them.
After renovations, the facilities and infrastructure turned out incredible, our ocean villa was out of this world, we couldn’t believe it when we walked in. Truly spectacular.
The staff is super nice, and a special thanks to Nawal which was in charge of our villa and cleaning services. He did a superb job.

Exquisite beach and water villas, amazing management team who welcomed us on arrival, walked around during breakfast and dinner and chatted with us daily and every staff member who was always friendly and supportive.
We are vegetarians so was worried about the options available but at every meal at least 3 chefs would come up to us to make sure there was enough to eat, otherwise they were willing to make special meals for us. Thank you Santosh, Rasheed, Chef Siddique and Chef Madan for going out of your way to take care of us.
Special thanks to Joseph for making my birthday memorable and special by booking dinner at Jing restaurant and arranging a birthday cake.
The villa was cleaned twice a day and the bed turned down at night. Nafiul did an amazing job at the villa and decorating the room for my birthday.

We went here for our honeymoon. As expected, it was like paradise on earth, with the most beautiful sea and sky.
The staff Nol was very helpful from day one and all the other staff greeted us with smiles and a warm attitude.
We changed our room for upgrade and when we let them know we were on our honeymoon, they decorated both rooms and even offered us champagne and sweets.It was so cute and lovely.
The room is in front of ocean and can be into in it immediately was wonderful in the morning and at night.
We chose all-inclusive plan so we could eat without worrying about money, and we also enjoyed the spa and activities.
We also can enjoyed snorkeling lots of time because of the proximity to the ocean.
It was literally paradise where we didn't have to think about anything else. I felt I could stay for a week to 10 days because of the spa and activities.

I booked 2 villa, beach & water. Already done my review but there were too many wonderful aspect of this resort, I missed out another important aspect The food! I could see the chef made effort in giving the dishes a little twist. Except some dishes which is a bit salty for my liking. There were all good. I am not a cheese person but it is of premium quality that I tried some every day! The cakes are delectable as well! I love the Jacuzzi. We are lucky, went off peak but the weather was so good! Love lazing around in the hammock feeling the breeze. There’s always something in the water, day & night. Not to forget the lovely staff as well. It is a very well managed resort. Exterior of the villa may not be impressive compared to some but the interior are newly renovated!

This was my second stay at LUX and once again it was a truly special experience. We stayed in August, with wonderful weather, in a beautiful water villa overlooking the crystal-clear sea. The resort is enchanting: the island is large and well equipped, offering many facilities such as a gym, diving center, six restaurants and several bars. The international breakfast was excellent and served in two different restaurants. During our stay we dined almost every evening at Umami, the Japanese restaurant: outstanding food thanks to Chef Jester and impeccable service by Reehaan. I highly recommend trying it.

Fantastic stay at Diamonds. Very smooth transfer service via seaplane and from the first second in the staff made me feel so at home. The island itself is actual paradise on earth. I stayed in the Bungalow and due to it being low season it felt very private. Everything felt fresh and new, plenty of activities to do like snorkelling and yoga or just to relax and escape the world. Loved watching the seaplanes land from my balcony. Food was amazing for an all inclusive, two different restaurants, a buffet and plenty of different options every day. Cockatils very strong! Really didn't want to leave.

Lily Beach Resort exceeded all our expectations!
Everything was just perfect: tasty food at the buffet and à la carte, good and attentive service, and a home reef with a lot of sea life (we saw stingrays, small sharks and moray eel)🪸🤩.

The house reef and snorkeling at the house reef was amazing. Would like to point out professionalism and amazing diving center staff as well as restaurant staff and cooks. Food was of high standard with wide choice. NY dinner was too much good food. Will definitely come back.

Amazing venue amazing sites. The staff were always so friendly and ready to help out with anything. The overwater villas were stunning. Amazing snorkelling. Lots of activities. The food at every restaurant was also top quality would happily stay there again!!

Great location, and amazing dive center. We came for our honeymoon and ended up leaving with a new passion (diving). It is a place not only to relax but to enjoy all the activities they offer. Service is great and food is super good. 100% recommended

Thoddoo is a very interesting Island.
Thoddoo is a very interesting Island. It has very green, lush vegetation and seems to produce fruit and vegetables for the rest of the country. The beaches are simply amazing. Endless white, sandy coral beachfront surrounded by coconut palms and much vegetation. The water is a stunning turquoise with fantastic visibility making snorkeling an absolute treat. Here you can see many, many sea turtles close up and only metres from the beach. A great variety of fish can also be experienced with ease. The main guest beach has an amazing set up with Many showers, bathrooms, tree swings, hammocks and fruit/ ice cream/ snack stalls. An amazing feature is that they set up a massive row of sunbeds on the waters edge around 5 pm to be able to watch the sunset!! A lovely touch. If you want a more isolated beach, just walk north and you will be blessed with amazing virgin beaches with only coconut palms offering shade and not. a sole in sight. The island is small and can be walked around quite easily. Bikes and scooters are easily available for added speed. The centre has a variety of restaurants and shops within easy reach making t a well organized location to relax and enjoy. As with all the Maldivian Islands, there is a massive spate of construction . You will see a building site on every corner. There seems to be a plethora of new Hotels and guest houses coming. This will spoil the beauty and uniqueness of these gorgeous islands and will put the limited infrastructure to the test. With Thoddoo the good thing is that the construction is around the centre and therefore far from the beautiful beaches. Go soon if you want t o go before its too late!!

The sand bank and bikini beach were beautiful. Nice that US dollars are accepted but annoying that the $ needs to be pristine. Request speed boat for whale shark excursion. Nice variety of restaurants.

Ukulhas is not a tourist-friendly island. Dangerous rip currents near the island have caused multiple drownings which continue to go unaddressed. The food across the island is inedible and prepared by untrained staff. The island is littered with trash and by no means lives up to its claim of an “eco-conscious environment”

You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways.
Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants.
Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type.
Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out.
Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got.
Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.

It is a small enough island to walk around. The locals are extremely friendly - always saying hello.
There are 3 restaurants all along the west coast. Compass seems most popular. But all are good with same offering of food.
There is a fair amount of building going on at the moment as they gear up for more tourists.
We used South Ari Dive for our diving trips. They are professional and friendly.

It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there was disappointing compared to my previous trips in other resorts. The quality of service is poor and it’s a shame because the resort is lovely and the staff are nice but lack professionalism.

We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄
The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. I don’t recommend the visit to the local island, nothing to see there

Mathiveri is a small, calm island with a very natural, local feel. Life moves slowly here, which makes it easy to truly rest and disconnect. The beach is just across the street and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and quiet walks.
Snorkeling trips were a highlight - clear water, turtles, reef life, and respectful guides who care about the ocean.
There are several water activities available, including kayaking, banana boat rides, jet ski rental, and wakeboarding behind a jet ski.
If you’re looking for luxury, nightlife, or crowds, this is not the place. But if you want peace, nature, water activities, and a real island atmosphere, Mathiveri is a great choice.

Superb new facility and well connected atoll with great diving spots close by, the diving crew is well experienced and friendly, and they conduct PADI certification courses as well.
All inclusive includes free kayaking for one hour every day (depending on sea conditions), free SUP for one hour every day (depending on sea conditions) and free rental of snorkeling gear for the entire duration of stay. There were several other water sport options like jet sky, dive tours, night snorkeling as well. The active coral reef need a bit of a boat ride to reach but they are filled with fishes. The whale shark viewing was amazing!!
