CanadaAll of the staff at the hotel were extremely kind, courteous, and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean, with daily housekeeping. The location was perfect. The buffet breakfast was plentiful. The chef did an excellent job grilling the fish from our sunset fishing trip for our dinner - it was delicious! Best meal of our week.

South AfricaI loved my stay here!!! It is a 3 star hotel but I got five star treatment from the staff. Was so amazed at the hospitality, friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. I was also beyond amazed at the cleanliness of the room. I am really picky about cleanliness but I would definitely give that a 10/10. They also happily gave us extra time for check out

United Arab Emiratesi would definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay, brilliant communication from shaheen and yoosef before my trip with all information regarding excursions, and what to expect coming to a local island. they made everything easy to book in and supporting us each day with great excursions, i recommend all of the excursions!! we saw manta rays, sting rays, nurse sharks, we did lots of snorkling, (they have flippers and masks there if needed and life jackets so i didnt feel scared on any excursion! they also used their go pro to film some cool videos and shared them for free, very nice) you can tell the captains on the excursions look make a big effort to find the sea creatures and to go out on the sea and that we are safe there! thank you again!!
the hotel booked the speed boat transfer and made it easy. they have an option to rent a motorcycle which we did to get around the island quickly, we enjoyed going to the sandbank and watching the sunset. they have a restaurant on site, food was limited due to availability on the island which is normal, every meal was good, and they suggested many places to go around the island, we like the tea pot restaurant, absolute thai and aveli. all staff are lovely, from the kind guy who cleaned our rooms everyday to the guys in the restaurant, and again special thank you to shaheen and yoosef.
they also made a special moment on our first day, by decorating the bed and bringing out a birthday cake for my boyfriend on the first day which just started our holiday in a beautiful way. thank you guys!!

United KingdomThe owner and staff were all very friendly, attentive and helpful, we felt very welcome.The owner organised a boat trip out to see the turtles and the two guides on the boat were great- very friendly and informative.
The hotel is on the beach and only a couple of minutes walk to the bikini beach.
The food was good, breakfast and evening meal was slightly different every day. All of the staff provided quick service and kept an eye if you ever needed anything.

SloveniaExcellent stay. The host is very responsive and takes care of everything. He helped us with the transfer from the airport and then to the guesthouse. Also helped us book an excursion and was generally always ready to help. They even prepared us warm breakfast on the day of the excursion when we would miss the breakfast at the guesthouse. The guesthouse is lovely, has everything you need. They provide adapters, drinking water, rack to dry clothes, good wifi, you can rent bikes… everything. The breakfast has large portions. Also the location is good, close to the beach and to some restaurants. Our stay at Thoddoo was great!

We returned to Gangehi Island Resort after spending our honeymoon here ten years ago — and honestly, it felt like coming home. Very little has changed, which we mean as a huge compliment. The same peaceful atmosphere, the same warm smiles, the same effortless kindness from everyone on the island.
The resort still keeps its original Maldivian charm — natural, simple, and beautifully laid-back. The tropical vegetation is lush, and the sea is that unreal shade of blue with amazing coral just off the beach. We spotted reef sharks, rays, and even sea turtles while snorkeling.
The weather was a bit mixed during our stay, but that’s part of island life — and the staff made up for it in every way. Giorgio, the General Manager, surprised us with a complimentary upgrade from half board to full board — such a generous touch, thank you!
The restaurant buffet is uncomplicated but always delicious, mostly fish-based, freshly prepared and served with genuine warmth. The dessert corner deserves a special mention — fresh tropical fruits and homemade ice cream every day.
The spa offers excellent massages, and our excursion (even with rough sea) was great fun with beautiful snorkeling spots. The romantic dinner at sunset, with our own waiter and chef, was truly unforgettable — especially the aperitivo at the overwater restaurant.
In short, Gangehi remains an authentic Maldivian gem — friendly, relaxed, and made for pure relaxation. We loved every minute and will surely be back again.

The house reef really worth to go and see there for: it's just few steps from the shore with many fishes, live corals, anemone fishes (clownfishes), baby sharks, some sea turtles. We were even lucky to see one Manta. We enjoyed free snorkelling equipment. Only be aware that there are always strong currents arround the island, but we thought they are pretty safe. Besides - water sport instructors organize a free snorrkeling guide twice a day. We enjoyed a very good soundproof of the water villa, even on strong wind / waves day / night. The food is always fresh and tasty. The wi-fi is pretty good. We didn' lock the door of our water villa - we felt very safe there. We enjoyed a Vertical reef and Coral garden excursion - highly recommended. There is some very good vibe on this island which you can't love. It's not a cheap resort, but it's worth 100%. Some day we'll come back :)

We spent lovely time in your hotel in Maldives. We liked absolutely everything. We would like to point your attention to perfect work of your manager Nurlan.
He made our stay the most memorable and we are so grateful to him. He did his best to make our stay wonderful. We are impressed with your hospitality, loyalty and kindness. All the staff was very friendly and it was so easy to talk to them. The rooms and the whole island are very cosy and clean. The food was so delicious especially the dinner on the beach. We had lovely dinner in Italian restaurant and liked all the dishes but the dessert (chocolate cake Giandulotto) changed our impression of the dinner as its taste is too simple and doesn’t comply with 5 star hotel food. Maybe it is worth changing this dessert.
We would come back to your hotel for sure!

We had the best holiday ever at Villa Sun Island in the Maldives. The beaches truly look like paradise – the Maldives are one of a kind. The food was very good and the staff extremely kind and helpful.
A very special thanks goes to Nihad, who made our stay even more memorable. Thanks to her, we got a beach villa with a pool, which elevated our entire holiday by 100%!
The evening entertainment program was excellent, our child really enjoyed the Kids Club, and the main pool with the swim-up bar was absolutely fantastic.
We are truly grateful and will never forget this amazing experience. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a dream vacation! 🌴✨

The staff, the food, the new marine biologist and the house reef. The new marine biologist Alaina is amazing. She goes out weekly to clean the cages for the fish. I think it is because of her that the house reef is teeming with life!
I wasn't a fan of the beach villa because ours had a musty smell. But we were moved to the sand villa and it was perfect! That is really the only complaint I have of the resort. Mangela and I am so sorry, I forget the name of our friend who is the office manager...they helped us with the room change and checked on us daily to make sure we were happy.

Veligandu is conveniently located in an atoll not far from Male and yet very secluded, paradisiacal and offering all the natural wonders you would expect to enjoy in the Maldives. The Sunset Ocean Villa was very comfortable and well-equipped, with a large bed, great deck over the lagoon, within easy reach to snorkeling in the close-by reef, and a great view to incredible sunsets. The service was impeccable, especially Dilara who was very helpful, reactive and resourceful.

It was a great experience. We was with 2 baby girls under 2 years. The staff was helpful- Anna guest relations was always in touch with us and help us with all administrative questions. We even spoke with one of owners Giovanna she was kind with us and very nice. We lived in water villa and it was amazing. The coral reef was perfect we even saw the manta near our villa. All island Nika is beautiful green , and very clean. We will be back with the pleasure. Thank you

This is paradise. Food is amazing. Beach bungalow has everything you might need. Lots of privacy. 3-4 cocktails I could drink for the rest of my life. Sustainable way of living. An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.

I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. There's a lot of nice restaurants and there was no day I felt bored.

Great Island, plenty to do and good snorkelling straight off Villa. Food, people and facilitiies were great - cannot fault. Deluxe water villas were a bit tired and really need a refurbishment - other than that great time in Kuramathi...

It is a small enough island to walk around.
It is a small enough island to walk around. The locals are extremely friendly - always saying hello.
There are 3 restaurants all along the west coast. Compass seems most popular. But all are good with same offering of food.
There is a fair amount of building going on at the moment as they gear up for more tourists.
We used South Ari Dive for our diving trips. They are professional and friendly.

You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than...
You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways.
Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants.
Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type.
Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out.
Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got.
Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.

It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there...
It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there was disappointing compared to my previous trips in other resorts. The quality of service is poor and it’s a shame because the resort is lovely and the staff are nice but lack professionalism.

A Wonderful Beach Holiday. Necessary structure: shops and cafes are available. The ability to pay with a bank card, as well as in cash (USD, MVR). Good exchange rate in all places. I was pleased with both Mathiveri and Mathiveri Finholu: the beaches are clean, the sand does not burn your feet, and there is a comfortable "coolness" in the shade of the trees.

Feridhoo is an island inhabited by locals. They are Muslims, so respect them and wear decent clothes when walking through the village. The island has 2 restaurants with good food and fair prices, one dive base (Noohiri) and one small shop next to Shifa Lodge. We came for diving and found an abundant maritime life. There are 2 beach areas, one at the east side with the best snorkeling ground, the other at north/west side with berths for relaxing.

We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄
The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. I don’t recommend the visit to the local island, nothing to see there
