We can only recommend accommodation in Alimas. The staff deserves a big thank you! Cleaning, service in the dining room, organization of trips - maximum satisfaction. The chef prepared amazing meals. Hotel manager Rafeeu runs it very well. He helped us with transfers from the airport and also to another island. The guesthouse has four floors without an elevator, we lived on the third, daily training on the stairs was great. The room had a wonderful view of the ocean. We completed swimming with Nurse sharks and it was an incredible experience. The local bikini beach has a beautiful coral reef with lots of fish. Felidhoo Island is well worth a visit. Thanks to Rafeeu!

Very good stay experience. When you check in, you will be asked to read the house rules, which include options such as keeping quiet. Thanks to this, the entire hotel is very quiet at night. In addition, I would like to praise the employee Hasan. He is a very friendly local employee. He will take us carefully and responsibly when we go snorkeling. A very pure and kind-hearted person who gives the impression that he treats you like a family member and wants to show us the most beautiful scenery. We will definitely stay at this hotel next time and hope to see you again soon

We had a great stay at Atoll Retreat (5 adults + 1 toddler in 3 different rooms). The staff were very friendly and helped us organising island transfers. The hotel is very nice, modern, clean and new. 2 of our rooms had ocean view. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel were delicious and great variety of options. We received complimentary stingray feeding and loved the experience. The location is great as it is a few steps from the main pier, but also close to the bikini beach and restaurants. The staff went above and beyond. I highly recommend staying here!

If there was a higher score we would give it. The best hotel in the Maldives and we have been to many hotels. Super comfortable beds, excellent Wi-Fi, everything is clean and new. Thanks to the amazing staff, especially Ali and Moosa who took such good care of us every day, we extended our stay here for six days. We just couldn't leave. The hotel is located right on a perfect beach, outstanding snorkeling! The food is super delicious, the locals are amazing, it is highly recommended to take a tour with the wonderful Hassan. The welcome and reception services went smoothly, and there were staff members who could communicate in many different languages. Our room was wonderful, we see and also swim with many sea creatures directly from our room. Also at night we can see the stars perfectly. The in-room liquor dispenser was included in the price and refilled whenever it ran low. Along the bridge with the overwater villas, there were ice machines placed at intervals, so if the ice in your drink melted, you could refresh it anytime (service was unlimited). Since we stayed at Riu Palace, we could enjoy both resorts. The food in both properties was very diverse, and I ended up gaining 3–4 kilos. At the bar, we enjoyed a wide variety of drinks and cocktails. We would like to thank especially Pooja and Desy, as well as all the bar staff whose names I can’t fully remember, for their kindness and warm service. They asked for your name and made a great effort not to forget it — being able to remember so many guests is truly impressive, most of the 5 star hotels does not pay attention to that. Hopefully, we’ll meet again next year. The hotel was spotless — rooms, restrooms, pools, and restaurants were always perfectly clean. At the Palace restaurant, there was even a staff member using a laser to keep the crows away so they wouldn’t disturb us — a hotel that truly cares about you more than you expect. The gym had an amazing view. We especially appreciated that the hotel was eco-friendly, using recycled water and producing minimal polluting waste. We also saw many animals around, and the hotel took great care to ensure they were not harmed. From the entertainment team, the red-haired staff member whose name I forgot and Sanjay were doing an amazing job; they never let you feel bored at the resort. We would also like to thank the DJ, who made almost every evening enjoyable with fantastic songs. 10/10 service, 10/10 entertainment — we truly hope to come back again.

From the moment we arrived at Six Senses Laamu, we knew we were in for a treat. The warm welcome from the staff, the stunning views of the turquoise waters, and the peaceful ambiance of the island all contributed to a sense of relaxation and tranquility. We would like to extend a special thank you to Shah for going above and beyond to make our stay at Six Senses Laamu truly unforgettable. Your attentiveness and support made our experience remarkable. We appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to making our vacation a dream come true. Thank you, Shah! The beaches at Six Senses Laamu are some of the most beautiful we have ever seen, and we were impressed with the hotel's commitment to sustainability and care for marine life and animals. It was heartwarming to see the efforts being made to protect the environment and preserve the natural beauty of the island. The food at Six Senses Laamu was exceptional, and we especially loved the breakfast with its broad range of choices. The waffles were a particular highlight, and we looked forward to them every morning. Overall, our stay at Six Senses Laamu exceeded our expectations in every way. Thank you to everyone who made our experience so memorable, and we cannot wait to return in the future.

Amazing island, food was brilliant (Roma especially) and lots of variety (even the buffet will make you what you like in the live cooking stations) Pools were great, beaches a dream, the guys on the freshwater bar were excellent. Special mention to Shakeeb, who looked after us from the second we arrived until the moment we left - made everything extra special Also the guys running the snorkelling trips were superb looking after 2 inexperienced snorkellers, who are now confident sea life explorers!!

The water villa was really an exceptional treat. It can feel a bit outdated in some aspects but it's part of the charm. I was on a half board package, so no buffet for lunch but breakfast and dinner were more than enough. Beware though, you have to go to all inclusive to have drinks other than water included (which makes sense and is totally normal, you get what you paid for and add on top if you want more).

I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.

If you are on a budget, using the local ferry's are a big save in regards to travel and make Island hopping do able. They are 3 time the length of time, at 1 tenth of the price of a speedboat. We still enjoyed sitting out front and watching the dolphins swim with the boat. The trip back was empty and we chatted to the crew. (30 min speedboat vs 1h30 Ferry) The Ferry goes ever 2 days so we did the Maafushi to Fulidhoo, slept 2 nights then got onto it again from Thinadhoo. Two beautiful Islands.

The sunset villa was the correct choice for me - got to see one fabulous sunset in the 4 days (in late October) I was there. There is no shading umbrella on the deck so it gets very hot in the afternoon. The room was amply spacious for a couple - watch the two steps down to the bed area, esp if you need to get up in the middle of the night. Lighting was good, AC was not as effective as I'd like (very high ceilings). Toilet is a separate room with the window permanently open (understandable), but it's extremely hot and stuffy in there. They need to place a small fan to circulate the air. Two life jackets in the room for average sized bodies (was a big large for my AU12 size female body). 4 bottles of drinking water per day supplied. The white beach areas were amazingly clean and swept daily. Food isn't that important to me and I'm allergic to alcohol, so all I can say is that the breakfast and themed dinner buffets included in my half board was plentiful and tasty. I think having the half board was the correct choice as a lunch and dinner package in the cafe was USD$195. I'd read that extra activities is expensive - I can definitely confirm that! If you arrive during the day, I'd highly recommend the seaplane transfer - amazing views of the resort (and others) and at 30mins, it is much faster and less bumpy than the 90min boat transfer. The Snorkelling was good but not amazing (I didn't fo out on a separate activity- just from my villa). Fish plentiful and some colorful, a bonus baby shark swam past me. Coral dull in colour.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left they made us feel so welcome and so special. Everyone in the team just wanted to ensure that we had the best time. From the captain/boss Ahmed, to John the host, to Arbi and the waiters, the chef and through to all the guys on the boat. We got to know them all and felt like part of a family. I couldn’t recommend it enough and if we could afford to, we’d go back next week! If you want the bustle of a big resort, then maybe this is not for you, but if you want to be somewhere that celebrates the beauty of nature and all that the Maldives has to offer, with people who love to show that to you, then this is the place for you. We felt like we knew the whole team by the end, they were all so genuine and thoughtful and caring. We’ve seldom had such personal attentive service and we’ve stayed in many places around the world, and they made our 25th anniversary such a special evening. If you want beauty, nature, simplicity, comfort, good food, great service and fantastic adventures with amazing attention to detail then just book Thari Fushi. We miss you all!

You can have a good snorkeling and beach experience here. The islanders far outnumber the tourists. The island is generally quiet and clean but it does have a lot of modern infrastructure in a small area. We didn’t dive but there is a local dive shop. We also saw several live aboards anchored nearby so the diving must be good.

The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing,...

The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing, particularly the exit next to the water villas (nr. 4) and the ones facing north-west (nr. 5 & 6). Just snorkeling we had the chance to see an incredible variety of fishes and corals, we also swam alongside a turtle and sharks a couple of times! Staff is great, always gentle, kind and willing to help and assist. The food is great both in quality and in variety of offer, we really enjoyed our full board selection. We particularly appreciated the lack of "holiday village entertainment" and the authentic look & feel of the island (preserved but not over constructed). The water villas should be refreshed - they are a gem but furniture is not well preserved and now quite old. Currently the villas have 3 kinds of roof, with different colors and some feature colored fabrics covering some pieces: it's a real pity as they do not look premium and ruin the overall scenery. I hope they are just temporary. Additionally, extra costs are quite a burden, as rates are high and you even need to pay for plain water even if on a full board service.
