The snorkeling was the best we've ever done. I don't expect to have another experience like this again. Filitheyo has no motor boats or jet skis which means the fish are not startled and has incredible coral surrounding the island meaning for incredible snorkeling experience. We had a water villa for 10 days and so happy we did. Countless variety of fish constantly swimming about including dolphins. Meals were great from the main restaurant, lots of variety. Main bar was a great place to go prior to dinner. Outside of snorkeling our favourite place was the sunset bar and pool. Big thank you to Viraj, Faruk, Raj, Rubeun for amazing service, kindness and a welcoming friendly attitude to everyone who entered the Sunset Bar. Thank you to Kasheem who took care of our villa and Dain who multitasks front desk and our snorkeling guide. All staff were always willing to help. Recommend the BBQ. Even though we were all inclusive the BBQ was well worth the extra cost.

Amiranth’s food was superb and the new addition to the staff team, Dhinush was a great guy, super-friendly and helpful. Messi welcomed us when we arrived and organised our itinerary for us, another great guy. Nibey gave us a tour of the island and introduced us to local fishermen which was fascinating. Rahman was also helpful and all in all I can say that it was a wonderful experience and we will be back! was great and set us up for the day beautifully.

This island exceeded all expectations. Five star service without the five star prices. Very friendly island, the staff couldn't do enough for you. Food and accommodation superb. From the minute we got off the seaplane, people were around to help, but also knew when you were tired and needed to be left alone. Our host, Shazu, was excellent at informing us of any events and always answered quickly to any questions or problems. Thanks Shazu We stayed in 3 different accommodation types, due to wanting to try different ones and our flight being put back a day. The Sun Aqua Suite was beautiful out on the sea and gave us a lot of extra space. The swimming pool villas on the beach were also beautiful with a nice-sized pool and the swinging chair/bed. Also gave an excellent view of the fruit bats flying overhead and the waterhens walking across the sand. Thanks to Joynal who came in each day to cut up a coconut for us. And special thanks thanks to Rakesh and Sahib for keeping our rooms so clean and provided with many towels. Also their messages and pictures on the beds made from leaves and flowers found on the island were very sweet. The main restaurant buffet (Aqua) was outstanding , especially the Indian food and the desserts. A different theme everyday. Somehow, there were different dishes available every day for our two-week visit. The service was very good, and special thanks to Vijay who was very kind and looked after us from the very beginning. Shakil ( I hope the name is correct) was also very attentive. Shayan was another friendly staff member who even invited me to play cricket with him and a few others in the staff area. This was a nice touch and made me feel very included, thanks Shayan. The snorkelling was very good too, with the lagoon reef and the house reef (when not too windy) offering a view of a wide variety of fish, plus sharks and rays. There were many other trips and activities on offer. The Christmas activities were amazing too.

The food selection is excellent. The quality of the food is way above the average level of a solid European restaurant. Excellent serving in the a la carte restaurant. The staff is great. Very helpful and friendly. We stayed in an infinity pool beach villa. Very spacious room, good quality. The beach is perfectly clean and taken care of. Almost no people off season, so the entire area feels like own private island :) Overall, an extremely relaxing place.

The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing, particularly the exit next to the water villas (nr. 4) and the ones facing north-west (nr. 5 & 6). Just snorkeling we had the chance to see an incredible variety of fishes and corals, we also swam alongside a turtle and sharks a couple of times! Staff is great, always gentle, kind and willing to help and assist. The food is great both in quality and in variety of offer, we really enjoyed our full board selection. We particularly appreciated the lack of "holiday village entertainment" and the authentic look & feel of the island (preserved but not over constructed). The water villas should be refreshed - they are a gem but furniture is not well preserved and now quite old. Currently the villas have 3 kinds of roof, with different colors and some feature colored fabrics covering some pieces: it's a real pity as they do not look premium and ruin the overall scenery. I hope they are just temporary. Additionally, extra costs are quite a burden, as rates are high and you even need to pay for plain water even if on a full board service.

We had a beautiful welcome msg in the bed for our anniversary and a beautiful candle lit 4 course dinner set up by the beach, staff went over their way to make things very special for us (Dinusha a Srilankan by national was an exceptional staff) with great customer service, he knew exactly what to do to make us feel extra special , went out of his way to make things beautiful for us, food was awesome in every aspect, presentation, taste, quantity and so forth all prepped by an amazing Srilankan chef. Definitely will recommend this place to all of our friends and family travelling to the maldives ❤️

It is a really nice island to stay with excellent staff and diving centre (especially TOM!). The working people are nice, smily and polite and do their best to make you have a superb stay. Even with rain and storm it looks like paradise except for people who are afraid about rain and waves noise at night ... The only negative point was that on last day : the boat brought us as expected to a sea plane to reach Malé airport but the sea plane didn't bring us to Malé but to another island to pick up passengers without informing us ! As long as the weather was really bad we were sick on board to be forced to face much longer flight time than expected. We should have been informed !

Resort on the edge of a garbage dump for 225 euros per night

Resort on the edge of a garbage dump for 225 euros per night The island measures 300 by 900 meters. The hotel is located on a polluted ocean shallow, immediately to the left of the hotel there is an ever-burning garbage dump spewing clouds of poisonous smoke, an airfield is being built to the right. On a private beach, you can fully enjoy burning plastic from a landfill to the sound of working excavators. The beach suitable for swimming is on the other side of the island, walk 900 meters through the village. You can swim there, but you will have to sunbathe under the loud sounds of pumps, concrete mixers and stone crushers, because there is also a production of building materials right on the beach, just 50 meters long, and some factory is very close. The water is sticky, fetid sewage was floating in the water twice in 10 days, very shallow, the bottom is full of glass and metal objects, if you go along the coast from this beach to the left, then there is a port behind our beach, then a beach for locals where you can’t be in swimsuit, followed by the construction of the airfield to the hotel itself, then the aforementioned landfill, then the production of building materials and the factory, then our beach. That's the whole island. In the middle is a village with 800 inhabitants. Photos and videos with sound are attached. Meals in the hotel, I would call some kind of fish diet, 13 days only fried fish with lean rice or pasta. From drinks, warm water or some kind of sweet mixture of jam with water. No desserts. A few vegetables and fruits. Breakfast was always cold, consisting of scrambled eggs and some kind of pancakes.
