The beach outside the hotel extend miles into the ocean with shallow water, which provided amazing experience for swimming, snorkeling, or just simply taking a walk. You can also see the sunset from the hotel. Location wise, it is perfect! Rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. Staff very friendly. The restaurants provide nice food with reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Since the duration I stay is low season, the guest house offering me free tour guide for the whole island and free snorkeling plus GoPro video and photo. The staff are super polite and professional they take care of every little detail from the moment you land in Malé. The boat ride is quite long but so worth it.
We were welcomed with drinks and cold towels, and had a quick briefing to get to know the hotel concept and all the activities. Luis and Lucy were always around and ready to help with anything we needed!
The buffet was incredible every single day fresh, healthy, and super tasty. Big shoutout to Ridoy and Rassika, who made us feel right at home every time we went to grab something to eat 🤍
I had the best massage in their spa, it’s a beautiful and clean space.
The tours were amazing, especially the Ecoboo cruise. Inke and Ayan made everything more fun and captured the best memories for us with awesome photos and videos.
Can’t recommend it enough I’ll definitely be coming back!

United StatesWow, we loved our stay in sands grand! The hotel is modern, clean, very green (lovely garden in the entrance), and over all inviting and joyful. Dhigurah is cute and walkable, so we felt that the hotel is close to the bikini beach and also some cafes. We loved walking all the way to the sandbar, it's great exercise! The island is not overly developed and it's quite green. We must say that Shaheen the manager of the hotel was just amazing, we instantly felt at home thanks to him. We loved chatting with him and learning about the island, maldivian culture, sustainability etc. He was very thoughtful and engaged and helped us organize some epic snorkle excursions and scuba diving trips. Overall highly recommended, and would love to come back to Dhigurah and sands grand hotel. Thank you Shaheen and team!

The staff went above and beyond for us—my husband hurt his head while surfing, and the hotel manager kindly helped us contact the hospital and even arranged a car to take us there. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted by the friendly and attentive staff who made us feel like VIPs throughout our entire stay.
The customer service at this hotel is truly exceptional. When inclement weather prevented us from visiting the nearby islands on our scheduled day, the staff went above and beyond to make alternative arrangements. They quickly secured a hotel just a short five-minute drive from the airport and promptly rescheduled our flights when we expressed concerns about the revised departure time. . Their thoughtfulness and efficiency in handling the situation were truly commendable.
The way the staff empathized with our disappointment at losing a day on the island soothes our disappointed hearts! They wasted no time in offering us an upgrade and special perks to compensate for the unforeseen circumstances. Their genuine concern and effort to make things right instantly turned our disappointment into excitement.
Once we arrived on the island, we were greeted by a team of enthusiastic staff members who created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their beaming smiles and genuine hospitality added an extra layer of joy to our vacation. It was evident that they genuinely cared about ensuring we had a memorable and enjoyable time.
Throughout our stay, our assigned gem, Hamzath, proved to be a true gem indeed. He took great care of us, ensuring our every need was met. Hamzath went above and beyond to curate unforgettable dining experiences for us, recommending the finest restaurants and providing personalized attention. It was clear that he took immense pride in his work and genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience.
The natural beauty of the island was simply breathtaking. The crystal-clear waters and vibrant colors of the surrounding ocean were truly mesmerizing. We were thrilled to discover that we could easily indulge in snorkeling right from our room.

visiting the Maldives is a dream for anyone and I knew that the ayada maldives resort would go beyond that dream. Since I made the reservation a year ago and started contacting the hotel, I noticed the difference. Highly qualified staff to provide our adventure with a unique experience. From our departure point to the island it took exactly 36 hours … in Male we had a completely pleasant reception by the Ayada team who took us to the airport lounge, carried our bags and boarded us to the island. Upon disembarking, another big surprise was waiting for us to take us by boat to our final destination, arriving there, a warm welcome and Iqu, our assistant for a week, was waiting for us. Nothing could have been more perfect. Our villa inside the ocean and overlooking the sunset was perfect, the crystal clear water invited us every day for a swim. The wonderful restaurants, the employees always with a smile and ready for a good morning, good afternoon, good night. It was worth every hour until we got here … worth every penny invested. We chose the hotel because we wanted the island further away from Male … our choice was the best possible !! Ayada surprised us … she welcomed us and conquered us … she deserves all the accolades of the best hotel in the Maldives in all aspects !!! thank you for the wonderful week you have given us. Special thanks to Mohammed who went extra mile and organized a birthday surprise for me, room decor was the most emotional moment iv ever had. 😭A bottle of wine was a best gift ever!The restaurant team also surprised me with a cake! To be honest, this is a birthday to remember!!
The reception team,Hordy and the rest (cant remember the names were also very welcoming and offering top notch. From the airport transfer, everything was well organized in a professional manner!

Amazing landscapes, delicious food (each day would bring sth new), wonderful, always smiled and ready to help people, reef near the hotel (colourful fish, turtles, sharks and mantas). Rooms cleaned every day, towels changed each day, trip from/to the aiport organized, so just after leaving Arrivals Zone at the airport we were taken care of. Lizzards, bats, tropical birds and a hen ;). No need to wear shoes while walking on the island. No crowds, peace and quiet. Would love to come back there one day....

Beautiful island, villas are spacious and updated and located secluded, bed is comfortable, buffet has very good selection with teas and coffee included.
Views are breathtaking, during house reef snorkeling can see variety of sea life, including black tip shark, turtles, stingrays.

Absolutely visit th main Island, there lots to visit and experience. Food and people were fantastic. Beaches and activities are also great. There many different boat trips and Island flights, although expensive worth exploring. Its a dry Island so be prepared that theres no alcohol, when were were at airport to fly to Male the duty free are selling you alcohol so if you arrive with bottles etc in hand or checked in luggage its confiscated.

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced.
One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there.
Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

The people that work there in the island are very genuine...
The people that work there in the island are very genuine and polite and helpful, always smiling. They make your time there very pleasant. Don’t forget to tip them. Jr and Anastasia from the club house coordinators are amazing and multi talented individuals. Don’t miss their daily sport activities by the pool.

The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life.
The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.

I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. There's a lot of nice restaurants and there was no day I felt bored.
