The staff were fantastic! They went out of their way to accommodate us in every way. We arrived very early for check-in and the room was made available. We then had to stay longer at the hotel after checkout (several hours) and they gave us a room free of charge to rest and be comfortable in! They also gave us little gifts!!

Loved the pool and bar area! Nice shaded communal areas for lounging too. The staff were lovely and attentive. The cafe - casa del surfer, on site had amazing food. The hosts provide a guide to local restaurants/cafes too which was super helpful. Did a surf lesson with mapache surf adventures as recommended by casa badu and would highly recommend this too.

Beautiful location, the view from the top floor rooms is stunning. It’s remote and quiet, the sunrises and sunsets are amazing. The pool is so nice and there are so many lovely seating areas. Huatulco has a large number of huge resorts often with all in deals and if thats what you want dont choose this property. But if you want a perfect small hotel with a fantastic staff just off the beaten track with a perfect small beach nearby then this is for you. We loved it and the staff could not have done anything more to make our stay more comfortable or stress free. Fantastic location to explore the area then pop back to the hotel for peace and quiet.

LOVE this place, it’s fantastic. The bungalows are really nice and comfy, you kind of feel like you’re in the jungle, the bed is comfy, the pillows are comfy, I slept really well here, it’s clean, not sure how you’d navigate the open bathroom concept as a couple but it was fine for me, the main street and beach are only about a 5 minute walk away, you’re close to everything. Marcella is an absolute gem, she’s such a kind sweet hearted soul, we had some really nice chats, you feel as if you’ve known her forever. She is also on hand for any help or advice you need, I would definitely return.

The room was spacious and had everything we needed and more. Even though buggies were available, everything was easily accessible and we walked. We spent our time on the wonderful Mexicana beach and again was so clean and looked after, the staff were amazing and a special shout out to Firman the barman who was brilliant. In fact all of the staff made the holiday what it was, if you don't have good staff it can ruin everything - they were all amazing in whatever area they worked in. Buffet was so much better than we thought. Will def recommend and will def come back again.

Hotel is situated in the quieter end of Zipolite beach with a dedicated patio / sun tanning area. Our room on the second floor was large, clean, and comfortable (AC helped) and came with an inspiring view of the sea. Bed was large with crisp sheets. Shower, although with no hot water, was large with a constant supply of water (which can be a problem in Mexico). Breakfast was tasty. Hotel pool was a good size and most often empty. Staff at this family-run hotel were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return to this hotel again.

I love Puerto Escondido and didn’t want to leave.

I love Puerto Escondido and didn’t want to leave. It was so beautiful there. Lots of options for restaurants, shopping, etc. I like that it’s not super built up resort wise. Everyone was friendly and we felt safe. It was simply magical and I would love to make it home one day.

It is a place that we had never visited before. We like the closeness to shopping and restraunts as 2 of us had mobility issues. People were very friendly. Taxi service available close by. Entertainment in the park 2 blocks away. Very clean city.

Well, I.from the cold blue north and live in Oaxaca much of the year. Zipollite, if you don't know, is a tiny hub of tranquillity and common sense, about and hour south of Puerto E. It is the only nude beach in Mexico which scares away the MAGA crowd, but basically anything considered weird in other places is overlooked here. You can smoke a little weed in the surf side cafes. You can start a conversation with anyone in almost any language. You are worshipped for the goddess inside you and the town is full of beautiful young men and women with a few locals sprinkled in. I hate it that the real estate prices have gone sky high, but you can still rent a basic apt for about 10,000 pesos per month. The food is excellent. The people are lovely. Lively beachside spot with great food and drink options Brisas de Zicatela is a bustling strip running parallel to the beach, offering a great selection of bars and restaurants. It has a laid-back, lively vibe and is ideal for a few nights away if you’re looking to enjoy good food, drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere just steps from the ocean.

Mazunte is a wonderful, laid-back friendly town.

Mazunte is a wonderful, laid-back friendly town. There are many restaurants with diverse cuisines and shops with beautiful and unique art, clothing and local goods. It is very much an old-hippie town with kind and welcoming vibes. Fun!!!

Salina Cruz is a very peaceful place offering some beaches where surfing can be performed. It was a tiny seaport that grew up due to the oil refinery, not really recommended as a tourist destination by itself since there are limited facilities, with lot of eateries but very few good restaurants, one of them being Santa Julia inside the Misión de San José Hotel. Many secondary streets are in need of maintenance or not paved, although main avenues are in more or less good condition. Most of the traveling here has to do with oil or navy issues.

San Agustinillo is a quiet strip between Mazunte and...

San Agustinillo is a quiet strip between Mazunte and Zipolite. It's lovely and peaceful, has some nice cafes and restaurants so you don't need to venture further if you don't want to. We found our favourite lunch place - Umami, and our favourite dinner place - Restobar Del Fondo. Both are delicious and not too pricey!

This is a beautiful area to discover a part of the outskirts...

This is a beautiful area to discover a part of the outskirts Oaxaca and its culture. However, come prepared with a purpose of how you want to explore the area or be ready to enjoy the surroundings and relax. There is not much available in terms of resources to point you to things to do once you are here if you are just looking to show up in the area and explore. In that case, it is better to take a tour from Oaxaca city. I loved it and will come again to explore other parts for its beauty and micro culture.

Its a wonderful place to spend some time.

Its a wonderful place to spend some time. Maybe a lot of time. There's lots to see and experience. The centro core at night is a bustle of incredible energy with locals and expat all celebrating. Loved it.
