The facilities and services at Ascott Star exceeded our expections. We were particularly fond of the rooftop swimming pool. The view was amazing. Other things we liked are: 1. The room was very spacious and included a washing machine and dryer. That was very convinient for us. 2. The beds were comfortable. 3.The gym is modern and well equipped. 4. The breakfast was good. 5. The place is very close to the city centre and commuter train.

Not the true definition of a penthouse you would typically aspect. The 1st floor of the unit was modest with only 2 small rooms, a tv lounge/dining area and a kitchen. Through a narrow staircase to the 2nd floor Skydeck which was equipped with jacuzzi, shower, fridge and seating areas. Our unit was Penthouse 6 which face westward with view of KL Tower and Jln TAR in the distance We were having a birthday party which was ideal spot for the occasion. The Skydeck was really awesome with nice view of KL. However, it rained almost all evening with dense fogs in between limiting the nice view of KL skylight and the usage of the Skydeck as it was partially covered. So we end up in the small space of the living area downstairs (10 adults and 3 children) eating pizza and stuffs Kitchen was well equipped with large fridge, washer/dryer, cooker top and oven. The children enjoys the jacuzzi with warm water and adults lounging on the deck. Nice small café downstairs with tasty sandwiches

The room I booked was spacious with a nice view. Breakfast was very good, with multiple cuisines to choose from. The location of the hotel was excellent, with a number of restaurants at walking distance. The Petronas Twin Tower was 10 minuite walk from the hotel. The concierge desk was also very helpful.

Room was perfect. Comfy bed. Great shower. Hotel was under renovations so was a little hard to find entrance. Staff were brilliant and helpful. We booked for the pool, and were unsure if we could access it. Received conflicting info on this. So that was only drawback.

The most of places including China town and little India and...

The most of places including China town and little India and holy places related to Malaysia, China and India and also museums ,high rise buildings , Kl tower and etc. were incredible for visiting. Taste of the most foods were from China, India and Malaysia which they were similar to each other. There were easy and reasonable to get around kuala Lumpur by grab.

Suitable for female solo traveller.

Suitable for female solo traveller. I chose dorm type of stay and one of the guests was on call so its quite noisy. Maybe shower gel should improve. A bit burning sensation on my eczema skin. Otherwise, all good!
