Nice place, there isnt enough facilities for disable people...

Nice place, there isnt enough facilities for disable people especially in the centre if you would like to use toilets etc in restaurants/ coffee shops. There isnt any sign post or announce in English in the buses or trains, also in the city centre. Therefore, it can be struggle.

Comfortable beds, Pleasant staff , Unsafe and difficult for older people: high stair to bedrooms - no lift, unsafe bathroom: ~ 30cmstep into and out of Bathroom, no hand supports by bath shower, crossing road to parking impossible for slow walkers in rush hour periods

We loved the little village!

We loved the little village! The graveyard, old churches and gorgeous individual houses... It felt like somewhere I could move into and live. The bus No 80 came regularly and dropped us in Central Station. There were restaurants either in the hotel itself or in the local Sous Les Eglises. One evening we were too late for dinner in either place so we had a lovely pizza and fries at the Snack bar. Nijmegen is a lovely city, but Beek is my favourite area.

I love this city, it's my favourite place I have been to in...

I love this city, it's my favourite place I have been to in the Netherlands (so far). The city centre is very walkable, despite it not being flat (highly unusual in the Netherlands!). Plenty of cultural sights, and things to do. Easily accessible by train with great connections all over the country. You can easily spend a few hours, or even a whole day, at the river beach (Waalstrandje) when the weather is nice. There are a few shopping streets, personally I like the Lange Hezelstraat with its record shops, gift shops, and vintage clothing stores, or if you like the high street shops then the Broerstraat is the place to go. The Grote Markt and old town area is full of small streets with little shops, cafes, and bars. The Kronenburgerpark and Valkhofpark are pleasant places to sit and read a book or have a picnic.

A lovely, vibrant city, full of youth and optimism, with good selection of bars and restuarants. Some off the beaten track and some very traditional. It is a university city so always a young outlook in its shops, cafes, buildings and life.
