The kindness of the staff (Audrey in particular who was really caring and available to help us even after working hours), the way we were warmly welcomed 🤩 : with jazz music on (wahouuu), ambiance lights turned on, Perfect organisation for self check in, the choice of the furniture in the rorbuer, everything perfect to feel comfy and at home (the best rorbuer we have had in all our 10 days trip by far !). We loved staying there. The location was just great, the view, the proximity of Anita’s, everything. The antic shop, the owner who is s in ncerely invested in offering great quality. I had a fantastic time in my cabin. The facilities at the campsite were in close proximity, always clean and tidy and fully equipped for cooking. The campsite is super close to a lovely hiking trial and in walking distance to the shop in Kabelvag. I did not have a car, but I managed very well without. The wifi was great in the cabin so I was able to even get some work done. If you are looking for a couple days of solitude and peace I can highly recommend this place!

The hotel was perfectly situated, close to the centre of town and with an amazing terrace looking out over the sea and mountains. Staff were exceptionally helpful and there is a great atmosphere. Furniture is quirky with a 70s vibe. Bedrooms are very comfortable and spacious.
Pizzas and drinks in the terrace are recommended.

The cabin was very spacious and comfortable. The location was superb, the cabin facing the beach, lots of space for parking.
The main bedroom had a large window where we could see the Northern Lights from inside the cabin.

Pretty city in an amazing environment.
Pretty city in an amazing environment. We stayed here on a Sunday so everything was unfortunately closed besides the bar and turist shops.
I would have loved to explore more both in and around the city !

Beautiful home and the perfect amount of space for a group of 5 friends travelling together. Location was wonderful and several steps away from a grocery store (Coop). Kitchen was fully functional and a cozy living room to unwind in. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely town in the Lofoten Islands with a beautiful beach nearby (Rorvika). Great cafes and restaurants especially Klatrekafeen. Would like to have done some hiking nearby but we ran out of time and it was actually too hot!

The central location of Leknes on the Lofoten Islands was great for exploring the south and north. Shopping and dining were within walking distance of the apartment. I had a tasty fish and chips at the Diggs restaurant. The Bunpass grocery store had a lot to offer, and they had the best cinnamon rolls!

Please do not go to Scandinavia Hotel, the manager of the place is simply not human, did not compromise on a small mistake we made in the booking, they do not answer the phones and there was not a single person at the reception, simply a terrible experience.

Ballstad is a pituresque fishing village surronded by mountains. It's located right in the center of Lofoten which makes it a great base for those we want to explore the archipelago. Buksnes church is charming and a must see.
Also it's near to Leknes where you can find a lot of stores and supermarkets.
Ballstad will have a special place in our hearts as it was where we saw the most fantastic Aurora show which we were expecting for so long.

Beautiful drive off the main E10 road with mountains and fall colors. The most beautiful quaint village on the water. The cafe on site, the art gallery, the historical buildings, the restaurant, the fishing boats, the sauna…all of it was amazing and lovely.

A very dreamy and picturesque town. If you are looking for a quiet place to unwind, relax and enjoy the surrounding. This is the place. There is a small pier to walk on. The cinnamon roll in the village bakery is delish! Having a car makes staying here convenient as we drove to different places for food and exploration.

Such an incredible place!
Such an incredible place! I visited in off season and two out of three days had good enough weather to explore. The third day had the most intense wind I have experienced, so it wasn’t safe to explore. I was happy with this experience but depending on what you want you may want to visit in summer, so that the trails aren’t so muddy. Even when they are, there is plenty of scenic routes to walk in between the towns!

Good facilities, the guy at the Tourist Info was very good, but it felt a little... functional? There's so many great places to stay that maybe look twice? Henningsvaer has a more attractive character, for example.
