The Black Swan is a gorgeous hotel that has been tastefully designed for luxury and comfort. Our room had a view over the lake and our own outdoor fire should we wish to sit outside. the staff were super friendly and did everything they could to make our stay special. the grounds were manicured and would be very special in summer. This is the type of hotel you come to stay and relax in, rather than heading out to explore.

I would like to share my wonderful experience at this hotel, and I'd like to extend special thanks to one staff member, Star. Due to our limited English proficiency, Star went above and beyond to help us numerous times, making our stay more enjoyable and seamless. Star consistently greeted us with a smile and a warm attitude. Whenever we encountered any issues or needed assistance, she patiently addressed our concerns and provided incredibly helpful suggestions. Her professionalism and genuine concern for guests made us feel right at home. Not only does this hotel boast an elegant environment and attentive service, but the enthusiastic assistance from staff members like Star left a lasting impression on us. Once again, a big thank you to Star and the entire hotel team. We look forward to staying here again and creating more wonderful memories.

We loved the hot pools and the cold pool. Kitchen and bathroom facilities were very clean and spacious. There is a little herb garden growing and they have a communal barbeque that you can use. Location wise, it's close to everything. 5 minute drive from the town, about 15/20 from the adventure activities like zip lining and water rafting. Definitely would stay again.

Everything! This is an amazing place in an excellent location. Parking outside the 1 bedroom motel room which we booked was perfect. Kitchenette suited us for making snacks and the dining table seated 5. Outside we had a table and chairs four our own use and a short walk to the two mineral pools and swimming pool. We will definitely come back.

The Aura team are amazing! Ellen and Poppie are particular stand outs but everyone we met was great. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well appointed, with everything we needed. The pool and the mineral pools were a great bonus. Location is excellent with everything in waking distance. Highly recommended

Love Rotorua, so much to do. Everyone is so friendly Beautiful scenery , golf with rabbits was definitely an cool experience. Cobb n co is also a go too for us with there robots waitress . Mini Golf, gondula luge rides, paradise valley, lakefront, lady jane ice cream shop , the blue and green lakes, polyneisian pools so so much to see and do.

Hamurana is a beautiful, quiet spot on the outskirts of Rotorua. Close enough to all the attractions with the added bonus of peace and quiet. Our accommodation on the Lake edge was so tranquil and peaceful we 'hunkered ' down for the weekend choosing only to venture out for walks.

Great location - away from the bustle of Rotorua - but just...

Great location - away from the bustle of Rotorua - but just a quick drive to get into town. Super close to the amazing Okere Falls cafe and lovely bush walk. Easy access to zip lining, sledging and white water rafting. Relaxing space, and a little less sulphur smell than other areas around the lake.

It is a nice small place, friendly people. Only problem was the limited car parking spaces at the popular eating and socialising area that is Eat Streat. Otherwise, it is nice and refreshing for people like us coming from the big smoke that is Auckland. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

Lots of great attractions and variety of restaurants and cafes. Good central place to visit places like Taupo and Tauranga. Enjoyed walking through redwood forest. Different trails for different levels.

I loved the nature and surrounding lake and canals. Good for people with boats and who want to get away from populated areas. If needing food supplies bring with you as the restaurant on site works according to bookings (eg not all day /all the time). Very enjoyable site to relax and enjoy the pool, nature and gym onsite though.
