The accommodation was just right and had all the amenities required and is set in a lovely garden with a seating and eating area that we were free to use. Fantastic 2 bed apartment right on the beach. Great facilities provided in the kitchen and bathroom. Including beach towels, bath towels, toiletries and even little washing powder sachets for the washing machine. Parking spot available was really handy. They also have a tonne of amenities right outside including: a convenience store, fish/chip/burger place, pub, tour booking booths etc. It’s right on the doorstep of the beach, where you can relax and swim. It also had water taxis, tour boats etc to bring you up the coast which you can book at the booths outside the apartment. There was also kayak, paddleboards, jet ski and other things available to rent on the beach.

We stayed in "Tui" in March. The cabin is in a great location with its own private garden area. The cabin has a well equipped kitchen where you could cook a meal if you were so inclined. We preferred to eat in Tekaka where there are several good eateries. The large bed was comfortable and the rest of the furnishings fitted well.
There is a bath on the patio where you can soak while watching the stars or in my case watching the Fantails chase each other around the trees.

Gorgeous view in a secluded spot. Very close to Abel Tasman for hiking and you can contact the management for a ride to the park so you can hike back to the greenie. The kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfortable and bathroom very clean (a very nice composting toilet setup they've clearly honed in). The outdoor bathtub is a great treat and has hot water. You're a half hour outside Takaka so bring your provisions for the stay and enjoy the view.

Spotlessly clean, no funky smells, we had a wheelchair accessible cabin which was great as my partner and I both have disabilities.
I cannot fault the service nor the accommodation in any real way - I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for quality motel accommodation at reasonable prices.

Great location directly on the beach. Great for a swim, especially at high tide. Well equipped accommodation. Very clean and comfortable. Good choice of breakfast supplies. Handy laundry if you're running out of clean smalls!

Kaiteriteri is a beautiful seaside village in the northern part of the South island of NZ. It forms part of the gateway to Abel Tasman National Park. Which is a beautiful unspoilt area of NZ.There are lots of boat tours leaving from Kaiteriteri which provide a large choice of walks or scenic boat tours of the national park. Well worth a visit to this beautiful national park.

We arrived in Marahau in order to walk on the Abel Tasman track. It is a small township, and we enjoyed walking down to the bay for the sunset. We had chosen the Aqua taxi to transport us up to the start of our walk, and enjoyed the efficiency and novelty of that experience. Just a warning to other travellers, By mid May, the little township is settling in for the ‘off’ season, which means that there are fewer grocery and eating options. We had been forewarned and had collected groceries at Motueka.

Good little supermarket and library.
The Lazy Cow has a pizza restaurant.
Excellent Skyline walk with superb views of the town, river and hills.

Takaka is a fantastic location that gives good access to...
Takaka is a fantastic location that gives good access to beaches all around the area, and the lovely Pupu Springs and Farwell Spit. The people in the town were lovely and friendly. We had the best vegetarian burgers, even better than our Ferg burgers from Queenstown! We all felt so safe and just enjoyed our time there. The drive over the Takaka Hill was a great experience, both in the misty rain and in beautiful sunshine.

Collingwood and out lying areas have some spectacular...
Collingwood and out lying areas have some spectacular scenery with very unique environments not found in other places of the world. If you want to learn some history about early NZ, this little place has bits of information signposted everywhere so forget about guessing who found the place or what kept the inhabitants there. Even the journey there from Nelson was interesting with multiple towns and side trips like Mapua, the entrance to the Abel Tasman Track, Kaiteriteri Beach, Pohara and Waipupu Springs walk which was wonderful, just to mention a couple of things we did.

We enjoyed the local restaurants .The fish and chips at the smoke house were delicious,as was the smoked snapper we took back to our lovely accomodation.The meal and customer service we experienced at Mapua India Eatery was first class.A great spot to base your self,as you are close to many locations

We love this beach - especially in winter!
It is also very close to some special places - Tata and Ligar Beaches, the Wainui Falls, the Grove Reserve and more - always something new to discover.
Molly Bs is to be reccommended…and the cafes of Takaka are not far away.

St arnaud is the starting point for discovering the delights of Nelson Lakes National Park. The town and the surroundings are extremely picturesque and the walks in the national park remain some of my favourites in the South Island. Beautiful beech forests. Also very nearby are dedicated mountain bike trails that are great fun.
