We didn't meet Michelle, but felt very well her touch on everything. She took care about the smallest details, and in her absence she made her best to give us the feeling that she is there. The accommodation was spacious, clean, cosy and very quiet. We enjoyed our stay in The Gables and recommend it to travellers who are visiting Tongariro National Park and the area.

Ranfurly Cottage is just delightful. Alison and Ron are really friendly and helpful. The cottage is super clean, quiet and comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. It's around a 30 minute drive to National Park and all the walks. We would definitely stay here again.

10/10 for absolutely everything! First things first, Denis, our host was absolutely fantastic and accommodating for us to check in late so we can enjoy the lovely weather. He also gave us really good trail recommendations since our plans to do the Crossing have been cancelled. The room itself was big, clean, comfortable with a huge bed and new facilities in the bathroom and kitchen. The shower was a delight! And to top everything, there is a hot tub to enjoy after a long day of hiking. Best place in NZ so far.
