Very special accommodation awaited us here, namely the Koofan Heritage House. This is a 150-year-old clay and stone house that has been carefully restored by the owner family. In the individual rooms, you will find numerous original artefacts and pieces of furniture belonging to the family from earlier times, which are beautifully displayed here. The house has 12 individually furnished rooms, a small souvenir shop, a café, a tour desk and a small museum. But the whole house is actually a kind of "open-air museum". While most visitors only come for the museum (admission 1 rial), we definitely recommend at least one overnight stay. A small, traditional breakfast is served in the morning. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to provide guests with an exceptional experience. The accommodation is just 25 minutes from Wadi Darbat and only 5 minutes from the sea. An absolute recommendation! Greetings to the staff from Marco and Nicole from Germany!

The location was incredible: such breathtaking views at the top of Jebel Samhan! The service was fantastic, the guys took care of everything. Rooms are clean and relatively newly developed property on the inside. Parking might be an issue. In house dinning options might be limited but taste is good. Don't worry the hotel is in the city and many restaurants around the hotel. Staffs are polite and will attend immediately.

We had a very pleasant stay at Souly Ecolodge. The staff was very nice, the room was clean and the place is just outstanding!! From the pictures, I knew it looks good but in reality, is was beyond my expectation. It is very calm and the sound of the waves during the day and night is very calming. It is also well situated. I recommend this to every person that wants to go to Salalah Moreover, a BIG THANKS to the crew who took the time to decorate the room for me and my wife. We came here for our honeymoon and we were not expecting this and it was a good surprise for us. See you again!

The breakfast was very decent. They kept changing the menu every day so we didn't had to eat same stuff every day. We had an executive suite with 2 rooms so the room was decent size with nice and comfy beds. Staff was friendly and the hotel was decently cleaned. The location of the hotel is pretty amazing and gives easy access to the main highways, nearby attractions and a lot of eating options. The AC and heater was working perfect. Overall it is an excellent hotel with very nice facilities and location, the staff especially the Egyptian staff ( in particular Dhahi in the reception and Ms Suzan ) were very nice and added a great value to the Place, the rooms are spacious and clean , restaurant is very nice , very clean with very good variety of food , room services and housekeeping were very nice and supportive, the ocean view is charming,. I recommend this resort and if I visit Salala in the future I will choose it again.

Salalah and especially the surrounding mountains contain a...

Salalah and especially the surrounding mountains contain a unique environment with magical natural views. But, if you want to see the lush green landscapes and waterfalls, make sure to come in the correct monsoon season known as khareef, which is during the summer months. Once the rains stop, the waterfalls dry up and the lush greenery turns dry and yellow. I came in November, which is a perfect time for nature photography as there is no rain to damage the camera and nature is still very alive, but all waterfalls had already completely dried up and the lush greenery was gone. The region, like the entire country, is very safe, with friendly and helpful people.

the beaches are spectacular, the location is really perfect...

the beaches are spectacular, the location is really perfect if you look for a quite and familiar place. Everyone is friendly and helpful. the surrundings are stunning and the trip is aboslutely worth it. There are several resorts in the area but they are very decent and not invasive.

I liked almost everything, it’s not overcrowded like other destinations in the Middle East. Loved the Geography, dramatic coast line, mountains, beautiful beaches, lush green areas in East and of course the desert. Would be a great area to hire a motor home to explore, think the region lends itself to this, I believe this would attract tourists! Maybe a weekly flight direct from London with Oman Air but at the same time would hate the country to be spoilt by tourism.
