The beautifully restored historical house with museum located next to the old castle near a wonderful beach in Taqah was our favourite hotel and area during our 2 week travels throughout Oman. The staff were highly competent and great hosts. Service and breakfast were excellent. 10 from 10 points.

⭐ 10/10 – Exceeded expectations! Probably the best and only hostel I found in Salalah and it exceeded expectations. Excellent Omani hospitality, especially from Hashem, who took care of everything. A family-run accommodation in the best way possible; warm, welcoming, and effortless. Location is perfect: just a 5-minute walk from the central market and the Mwasalat bus station to Muscat. Nearby cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, ATMs, and local spots all around. There’s a small grocery shop in the same building, and they offer car rentals if you’re heading to explore the mountains or coast. Facilities are well-maintained; fully equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms, and common areas. They have storage space if you arrive early or check out late, and super flexible with check-in timing. In short, value for money, excellent location, and true Omani hospitality. This place is an exceptional base while in Salalah. Highly recommend for anyone exploring Dhofar as an independent traveler.

Was clean and spacious and it was a good location close to Al Huda Mosque and close to many shops and restaurants nearby. Staff were lovely and very polite and the prices were very affordable especially during khareef- mosoon season which is a very busy time and is peak season there. I highly recommend and especially for families.

Breakfast is delicious, 2 incredible swimming pools in the hotel plus access to Rotana swimming pool and a private beach without waves. Wifi great and working in all areas including the beach. The Hilton hotel is very well located, only 15mn from the airport. It is extremely clean, has a beautuful swimming pool with a water slide and a long beach. It is not crowded at all and we enjoyed playing in the waves. The hotel room was impeccable, very quiet and the layout was perfect. My son and I had our own bed and we felt very confortable. The room and bathroom were extremely clean. One day we forgot to remove the " do not disturb" sign on the door , but later in the afternoon the cleaning service took the care to do our room without even asking. I thought this was high quality service. The staff is very attentive, smiley and friendly, always happy to help or assist. The buffet is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the quality of food is good with some variety. There is another restaurant à la carte on the opposite side but we did not try it as the buffet offered all we needed. The restaurant terrace is right on the pool which is really pleasant. The only downside are the big black birds which come very close to the tables and can be a bit annoying but the staff is very careful and pays attention to it. It shows the natural part of Oman ! I highly recommend this hotel for a short stay and will definitely go back there next time.

The breakfast was very decent. They kept changing the menu every day so we didn't had to eat same stuff every day. We had an executive suite with 2 rooms so the room was decent size with nice and comfy beds. Staff was friendly and the hotel was decently cleaned. The location of the hotel is pretty amazing and gives easy access to the main highways, nearby attractions and a lot of eating options. The AC and heater was working perfect. The location is amazing! Just rent a car and you will visit all the places around with no issues. It felt remote, but in a good way. Food was great, staff super friendly and the whole atmosphere was just magical. Its hard to find places like this. To feel so comfortable and close to the nature at the same time.

A quiet, quaint city with a seemingly tight-knit community and fantastic sights. We arrived at the end of the Khareef season but did not miss out on any greenery, beautiful birds, roaming camels, and absolutely great water features such as springs, streams, and waterfalls!
