Althought S Boutique Hotel wasn't in our plans, we we're beyond glad to experience it. We had a disappointing AirBnB nearby for two nights, which we ended up cancelling, leaving a day early. In this light, we booked S Boutique Hotel and messaged them, letting them know our situation and see if we could at least leave our bags and wait around before check-in. We made it to S around 9am. The first thing that called our attention was the thoughtfulness in design, respecting the natural elements, showcasing beautifully arranged wood, which dominates the landscape, supported by elegantly exposed concrete, all encompassed by the lush greenery around Isla Colon, with tasteful touches of glass, white contrasting pool chair sets, black painted bamboo dividers, etc. But the most striking aspect of S was the warm smile and professional behaviour of Jean. He immediately made us feel welcome, offering us coffee (which, again, comes in beautiful and thoughtful tableware) and check-in us smoothly. His conduct is one of competence, politeness, mixed with gentleness and friendliness, but most noticeably, humbleness and unpretentious, a rare combination we did not encounter much in Panama. Since we didn't had data, we couldn't see that Jean already had replied regarding our bags, reiterating us that the room was ready and just after our coffee, he guided us to it. The room follows the same natural theme. Concrete, white, wood, glass, elegant details in wicker. A citrussy essential oil hit us softly upong entering our room, enhancing our stay even further. Late at night, for some reason, water wasn't coming from the shower. I went down to ask Jean, which, along one of the owners, immediately went and fixed the issue in a matter of minutes. Again, the effectiveness in problem solving along with professionality in the way everyone at S carry themselves speaks highly of not just the Hotel, but the ideas, values and passions that had led this hotel to be made.

Fantastic relatively new Hotel, incredible grounds, a lush green paradise. Rooms are great, Spa is out of this world. 2 pools, one by the sea and one in the middle of the jungle at the spa. Amazing. The sunrises are incredible, the sun comes up, surfers catching the first waves … what a sight.

from the breakfast ladies to the specialised feast they produced for us each morning, to the incredible and unique dome room, to the amazing remote location where we were surrounded by the lushest green and wildlife (including monkeys) - wow! Nowhere, what a special place you are. Never experienced anything like it and would 1000% come back. Thank you!

Due to a big delay we arrived late, but they were very responsive and arranged everything. We wanted to stay one extra night, not a problem at all. Also on our last day I had a dive in the morning and they let me shower in the room afterwards! Breakfast is great and also very nice you can borrow bikes, snorkeling gear or the kayaks to go to one of the floating bars nearby.

Excelent choice in Bocas Town. Very good location. Close (by walk) to main boat docks and restaurant and bars. In pool area is very good chilli vibe. Staff is really nice and helpful, especially on recepcion. They organized everything for us, even the tours and boat took us on the hotel pier (so you dont need to negotiate with locals on street).

We had a wonderful stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom pretty clean and you can also take a hot shower. The breakfast was delicious and the attention of the staff flawless. People usually complain about the noise of the boats, but it's just at peak hours when people go and comeback from tours. I highly recommend this place.

I am so glad I stayed here; It was exactly what I was looking for - somewhere peaceful and nested in nature. The place was immaculately clean. There was a daily cleaner who also provided laundry services at no extra cost - it was so convenient, and nice to come back to a freshly made bed every day (and no sand on the floor!). If you're a nature lover you will love it here. The tree right next to the place was home to a troop of howler monkeys who fortunately are silent during the night; however they made a good early morning alarm clock just as the sun came up! The natural ambience makes this place so relaxing - whether it's a tropical downpour, crickets and frogs chirping at night or the sound of tropical birds in the morning and throughout the day. You can even hear the waves from the ocean. I slept like a baby. The owner is lovely and went out of her way to make sure it had a lot of good tips for things to do in bocas del Toro, places to go, things to see and places to eat. She kept in touch via WhatsApp so if I had any questions it was easy to get hold of her. The bed felt new, and was incredibly comfortable. 100% I would stay here again :-)
