From the moment we stepped off our bus in puño this stay was a highlight of our trip. To start, the floating islands are unique and something that you need to experience. Felix showed us a level of kindness and hospitality you don’t often see in the world anymore and we were left with full hearts and a new appreciation for the way people on the Uros islands look out for each other as a community. As for the rooms, they were beautiful and we spent hours lying in the sun lounge relaxing, reading our books and watching the boats pass by. This was one of those experiences you remember forever and I’m so glad we booked here.

This was an incredibly pleasant stay! The hosts took care of every detail, from organizing a taxi and boat transfer to helping us reach the place smoothly. We were in constant contact with them, which made it much easier to find our way in a new place. Dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, and the location itself was truly unique. It’s an experience we’ll never forget. We highly recommend staying here, the hosts are wonderful people who put their hearts into making sure everything is perfect. What a wonderful off grid experience. Staying with Joel and Luzy is a must do! They are fabulous hosts and make your stay so easy and memorable. They have 3 rooms and we enjoyed a 2 night stay in the larger family room. The beds are super comfy, loads of blankets and a hotwater bottle is delivered after dinner. Room has a gas heater too but we didn’t use it. There is lots of furniture inside and out to relax on. Luzy cooks a great breakfast of fruit and juice, coffee and omelettes with avocado . We ate dinner there both nights. The food is simple home cooked , tasty and fresh. I am gluten free and Luzy accommodated me brilliantly. There was always a thermos of hotwater on request for making tea and coffee. They even had a bottle of wine to sell to us. Joel transfers from the mainland to and from the island and we also did a 2 hour tour around the Uros Island community. Joel was knowledgeable and showed us the best highlights. While I have eluded to off grid it should be noted that you are on a floating island!! There is a compost loo and shower water is from the lake and solar heated. There is no wifi but my own data worked well.

Mama Lea, Papa Mario and Ivan were amazing. Such an incredible experience with the most loving and passionate people we met in Peru. Food was freshly cooked by mama Lea and the tour with the explanation of the culture and traditions of the uros people from papa Mario was amazing. Mama lea made sure we were warn at night being the winter and provided hot water bottles. These were a luxury as we were not cold with all the comfy blankets in the incredible room with views to die for. Muchas gracias mama lea y papa Mario

The warm welcome, kindness and support of the tenants (an Uros family). The quiet environment. The confort of the beds (I counted at least 4or 5 layers of blanket). It feels so warm within the beds.

The location is amazing, the room is comfortable and the breakfast's great. Also the staff was extremely helpful and friendly: we arrived at 6 AM and they allowed an early check in for us so that we could rest. They also provided me a laundry service that was perfect. Thank you!
