We had an amazing 7-day stay at Fat Lips Surf Lodge, even during the island-wide power outage. Despite the challenges, the entire crew went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. The lodge is in an ideal location in Catangnan, just a short ride from Cloud 9 and General Luna, with a peaceful garden view surrounded by lush greenery. Tim was incredible, always checking in to ensure everything was okay. With a generator, running water, and fast Wi-Fi, we had everything we needed and never felt inconvenienced. Huge thanks to Kuya Julius, his wife, and the rest of the fantastic team for making us feel so at home. We also had the chance to meet Apple (Tim’s wife), who is so kind and cool. She even gave us some awesome Fat Lips merch to remember our trip! 🙈 And, of course, lil Stevie stole our hearts. We already miss that sweet little guy! 🥹❤️ P.S. You also get a 10% discount at their shop and on surfboard rentals, which was such a nice bonus. We’re already planning to come back next year — and this time, we’re staying for a whole month! Salamat Karajaw, Fat Lips crew! 🤙

Casa Basa was wonderful! All staff are some welcoming, kind, and friendly. I rented a motorbike to use during my stay, and Mich kindly gave me a quick tutorial on how to use it. The property is a 5-10 minute ride from the main General Luna area, but I preferred this; it was so peaceful and quiet at the accommodation. They were also working to make the Starlink internet even better during my stay—this made it easier for me to get some work done. There were occasional power outages due to the island-wide power issues, but Casa Basa has a backup generator, so things were restored quickly. Breakfasts and smoothies were delicious, and the adorable dogs were also a big plus for me. It was a wonderful stay and I would love to visit again the next time I come to Siargao! Thanks to the whole team!

We spend a whole week in DaRosa with a wonderful apartment directly at the beach. The rooms are clean, have AC and a fan, big hot showers and fast WiFi around the whole area. The food at the in-house restaurant is also really good, perfect for a relaxed holiday with your love. The staff is friendly and the service is good. Eating breakfast at the beach was our favorite moment. DaRosa Del Mar is worth a visit if you are in Siargao!

Hanara is great, beautiful comfortable, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They helped us with our airport taxi, massage, bike rental and surf board rental/ lessons. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable and clean. Really good location and also very good food (and excellent coffee). Overall excellent value and would 100% recommend!

Staff was lovely, and food was amazing. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and everything was delicious. Hotel is small, and that's why I guess that staff has more time to spend with guests. Breakfast had the best pandesal that we had anywhere in the country. They also helped us with tours.

We spent some afternoons going around General Luna, and it truly gave us that relaxing island vibe. We visited different restaurants, and most of them have a modern island style that still keeps the local charm. You can really feel that the island is improving and growing, with new cafés, shops, and beach spots popping up, yet it still keeps its peaceful and friendly atmosphere. The people are welcoming, the sunsets are stunning, and the beaches are absolutely beautiful. Whether you’re into surfing, food trips, or just relaxing by the sea, General Luna is a must-visit destination. ✨ Highly recommended for travelers who want to experience the true beauty, warmth, and chill vibe of Siargao Island.

At first I kinda did not like the way going to the exact place, but when we found out the other way/easiest way, we felt relieved. The owner was very accommodating and also the in-charge cum reservation/receptionist, she was very kind and helpful, she had given us all the information regarding the places where we should go and enjoy. It was a very short stay but a worthy one, very affordable and family friendly homestay.

Burgos is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Siargao.

Burgos is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Siargao. It's a lot more peaceful than down south but there are beautiful and much les crowded places to explore. There's good 4G signal so you can stay connected but just travelling 15 minutes further north and you're totally off grid which is great. Easy to get to Secret Spot and Tangbo beach for surfing, Alegria beach for tanning and swimming, Tak Tak falls for cooling off in the heat, Kolekbibo, Lokal Hub and Izustarri for tasty food/drinks and lovely views!

I was too early for good waves, but is an amazing place! The island is so beautiful, the people is great! Is a really save place and friendly. Local vendors do not bother you. Lot of traffic, but good vibes all the time! Love Siargao

Dapa was not our destination just a pass through.

Dapa was not our destination just a pass through. I stayed at Club Tara Near Sohoton Cove. The reason for the overnight stay in Dapa was because the PAL flight landed after the last ferry from Dapa to Socorro. Remember to research the ferry times for Dapa to Socorro. Do not pay P 5k from Dapa for a ferry. This is a scam. This review is from April 2022 and the area was hit with a typhoon in December 2021 and is opening back up after the pandemic.

General Luna is the most touristy part of Siargao.

General Luna is the most touristy part of Siargao. Lots of stores, shops, restaurants around. Easily walkable, but also accessible by tricycle/tuktuk. It's a bit too busy for me as I prefer more quiet and peaceful spot for accomodation. But if you prefer to party and have the convenience of everything being close by, then Gen Luna is a good spot for you.

I had a problem with the booking because Alexias hostel...

I had a problem with the booking because Alexias hostel there are 2 units. One in El Nido and other in Siagao. When we booked to Siagao as a mistake but we stayed at El Nido unit. So I can talk about Alexias El Nido: You that read my review, should meet this place when you come to El Nido, even to take some beer or a te or a cofe in the sunset. The hostel is open to receive you just to chill with the view. The place is amazing! Need be discovered

One of the friendliest places in Earth.

One of the friendliest places in Earth. Great beaches and even greater good. Tuk tuks and trikes will take you anywhere for next to nothing and the town is walkable. Live music at dozens of cafes, restaurants and bars with Filipino Reggae being da 💣

Poor water pressure in the bathroom.

Poor water pressure in the bathroom. Air conditioning was not working. No extra fans available. Care taker not helpful. I had to book extra room to accommodate my group since the original room they gave us is too hot, aircondition not working, no fan and windows won’t close. I had to pay extra money for the inconvenience.
