Literally wonderful hotel. It is located in a beautiful and peaceful location within a natural park. It is clear that the architects and designers wanted to respect the place, starting from the shapes and colors of the structure on the outside and in the interior design. All the staff is extremely kind and professional, assisting the customer from arrival to departure and throughout every day spent in the hotel. The breakfast is exceptional, with a huge choice of products and a lot of variety from day to day. The Azeitona restaurant inside is perfect for gourmet dining, the chef is excellent. The swimming pool is very large and allows for a nice afternoon rest if you don't want to go to the beach. Arrifana beach is few minutes away and it is very beautiful with constant ocean winds: a surfers' paradise. We stayed in a very comfortable and spacious sea view suite, with attention to all the details.

Everything about my stay was exceptional. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the hotel is beautiful, The breakfast was truly delicious and had something for everyone. I ordered to of the specials and both were amazing. I will definitely be heading back for a longer stay! highly recommend!

The whole stay was so incredible, we enjoyed every minute and hope we'll be able to come back. The staff is super friendly and pays attention to details, the communication was easy and fast and also available via whatsapp. We had breakfast and dinner included and the quality of the food was incredible, delicious & nutritious with the most beautiful view opportunities from the restaurants. The hotel is very family friendly and our toddler enjoyed the stay as much as we did. The gym is brand new and has a very good choice of machines also allowing a sweet view during your workouts. The private entrance to the beach is great and opens the floor to a magnificent landscape and very nice beach. Overall we are super happy to have been able to enjoy our holidays here – thank you!

Liked · My cousin and I came on a winter break and we could not have chosen better. Marta contacted us before we even arrived with check in details and access instructions as we were arriving late. However despute lateness Helder met us there and showed us our apartment. The apartment is gorgeous, absolutely spotless with great thought given to what you might need. Aside from the usual kitchen utensils there were containers in case you wanted a picnic, there were umbrellas, beach towels and beach umbrellas. There were also fluffy robes and slippers, gorgeous bathroom products,(shower gel, shampoo, conditioner), plus vanity kits, toothbrushes, and sewing kits. The bathroom was well lit and the shower, large, and good pressure. The bed, well what can I say, it is without doubt the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, add the high thread count sheets for a five star experience. We had a lovely little balcony which was perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. A bottle of which had been left in the fridge. There is also a lovely roof terrace hidden from view but with lovely views across the rooftops. We had a couple of questions such as getting the TV to work and what pods the coffee machine took as we wanted to buy more, these were answered via WhatsApp promptly and in such a friendly way, each time with a recommendation of things to do or places to eat. Overall this really was a five star experience and, as I like Faro for a winter break I feel I have really found a home away from home. Actually that's not true, Solar Mendonca is better 🙂

Newly renovated hotel, 10 swimming pools, very helpful staff, good fish restaurants very close to the hotel, a lovely shuttle to the beach. Everything you need is there, including a nice musician at the pool bar playing Bossa Nova music.

Such a fantastically located very charming ( full of natural beauty tiger with the Orange trees and a variety of rare selection of wildlife such as exotic birds that You can only observe watching some specific TV channels. Everything is practically walkable in Faro, which makes the whole trip ( even the shortest one ) the most enjoyable! I had had my breakfast in a variety of places, for example, starting with a cup of delicious coffee from the self-service cafe-machine and then, in the supermarket’s cafe near the park. I don’t do surfing, but I really enjoyed the ocean side of Faro.

The old town was lovely and the beaches great but overall I was disappointed in Albufeira. I thought there would have been more to do but there wasn't. It felt more like a beach holiday than a city break. We travelled in November so it might have been to do with being out of season. A lot of venues, trips etc were closed or not on offer at this time of year. The marina was a 30 minute walk and that was where you picked up the tours for the dolphin and cave trip. Some tours offer a pick up from your hotel but we were in an apartment so this didn't apply to us. The bus station is also a 25 minute walk uphill from the old town. Albufeira was also very expensive to eat and drink but the quality of the food was very good. I'm glad I saw it but I don't think I would return.

Amazing base for exploring the Algarve region by car. There were so many restaurants in Lagos accessible by foot, and nice little shops. Try Casinha do Petisco (but book before) if you love seafood, churrasqueira Praca d'armas for local and casual peri-peri chicken, and Taninos for a slightly fancier meal. We mainly drove out of Lagos to go hiking along the South/Southwest coasts. We went in November so it was low season but we still have sunny weather and temperatures of 15-18 degrees, so perfect for if you're active. I would recommend kayaking or hiking. Visit the Ponte de Piedade. We did the seven hanging valleys hike and also kayaked to the Benagil cave, we went to Sao Vicente and Algar Seco.

Too short a visit to give a definitive answer as attending athletics event and not enough to explore, however liked what we saw. Had a superb meal at Namaste India Tandoori Restaurant in direction of Praia de Rocha. Without personal transport Uber was ideal.

We stayed for 6 nights which was a night or two more than required. Tavira is an interesting town and we enjoyed a Fado performance in one of the beautiful churches. It has a wide choice of good eateries and trips are available to local attractions like the island. However, we were glad we took the option of taking the train to Faro for one day and to the crossingbto Spain on a small ferry on another day. Tavira is close to Spain.The ferry port in Portugal is an attractive town as is its couterpart onthe Spanish side.

Been coming here for years on 4 day golf tours. For that purpose Vilamoura has everything - good hotels, lively bars and even in late November plenty of restaurants to choose from and of course many golf courses within easy reach.

We love Quarteira, 20/25mins from Faro airport, beautiful...

We love Quarteira, 20/25mins from Faro airport, beautiful beach clean & well maintained with ample beds with fixed rattan umbrellas for hire, long promenade lined on other side with lots of choices of restaurants /bars. Bus station is great with lots of local buses to wherever you would like to visit. You can walk to Villamoura Marina within 20/30mins walk but be prepared to pay double the prices for food & drink as Quarteira is very reasonably priced. Great friendly atmosphere & we have never experienced any rowdiness at all on our visits

Olhao is a welcoming laid back town this time a year.

Olhao is a welcoming laid back town this time a year. Its very well kept with interesting Cubist architecture. There are many great restaurants and coffee places in all price ranges. It feels genuinely Portugese. Surrounding islands are lovely and transport is easy and very affordable. The markets are also great to visit. The salinas are beautiful with lovely diverse flora and fauna.

Easy to get around, lovely beach, lots of beautiful places to eat. We stayed for 4 days and it was a perfect amount of time as we didn't plan any day trips. Bolt taxi - an excellent service and we would highly recommend the Wyndham Hotel.

Beautiful fishing village with gorgeous coastal views. I loved the fact that there were no high rise buildings. Very quaint and charming location, and centrally located to visit other parts of the Algarve coast!
