DenmarkWe stayed in the Palace, a beautiful building across the street from the Albatroz. Our room was very spacious, beautifully furnished and comfortable. They provided toiletries, bottles of water everyday, a welcome glass of port, and a coffee machine and a kettle with coffee/ tea selection.
The main building was equally stunning and features the most beautiful pool area I’ve seen overlooking a small bay and the ocean.
The staff was always on point, very eager to help and professional. Big thanks to Lucas who helped us fixing our AC after a big power outage.
We also used the gym daily. The equipment is very modern and brand new and they also have a small terrace adjacent to the gym to take the workout outside.
The location is perfect, the hotel is very close to many good restaurants and bars and the main shopping street.

AustraliaAn incredible experience! Such a beautiful hotel. Wife and I stayed for 2 nights in a Signature Suite with Ocean View room. Too many positives to list!! Valet parking is really helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Bed was delightful. Smart TV allows phone casting. Wi-Fi is good. The hotel location is perfect. Short walk to the city centre and the coastal walking/bicycle trail. The staff are welcoming/friendly and super helpful. The restaurant is AMAZING!! We had dinner and breakfast - both fantastic experiences. We hired bicycles from the hotel and went on a 20km ride. Was easy to organise, a good price and very convenient. Our shower leaked a bit, but this didn't bother us! Would highly recommend this hotel when staying in Cascais!!

A magic luxery boutique hotel, on the border or Estoril and Cascais. You enter a world of history but with a contempory atmosphere. Staff is excellent and gives you a feeling of being home with kindness, friendly talks and classy suggestions for restaurants and visits.
Also the restaurant in the hotel where breakfast, lunch and diner is served is Michelin worthy.

We appreciated the extra amenities (i.e. the cell phone) and the wine + cookies and water which was in the room for our pleasure. Very central hotel. We arrived very early morning and they allowed us to store our luggage and use the bathroom. We were also able to check in earlier. Our family room was upgraded to luxury family room. The staff were excellent and made us feel extremely welcome. The room was fantastic with views to die for. Although there are restaurants around, once the windows were closed we could not hear a thing. The aircon worked well. Room spacious, beds excellent and the balcony was a bonus. Breakfast excellent and all we needed. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Pity we could only stay one night. See you again!

Cascais - very thankful to my colleague, a local from Porto, for recommending I stay at Cascais! It was the best decision, the town felt like home, and was easy access to everywhere! Food was excellent, transportation options perfect, and very walkable! I walked everywhere in the town, and went to Sintra twice via bus from bus depot, with excellent bus service. It felt safe no matter what time of the day or night- and even though there were tourists around, it didn't feel overwhelming like Lisbon or Porto, as there was a sense of peace and belonging! I want to go back again.

There were two issues that were not quite good.
There were two issues that were not quite good. One, the air conditioning was not working properly; one night it was too cold and the other 6 nights it did not work at all. Secondly, the shower was very slippery. I almost fell and slightly hurt my foot trying to prevent a fall.
Other than that, everything else was extraordinary.

Oeiras is a suburb of Lisbon, so not overwhelmed by tourists. We found some great places to eat that were appreciative of our custom. There was a fantastic vegan restaurant just outside the town centre (Alma Veg). The main problem for us was the ddual carriageway that passes right by the beaches.

We did not see much of Carcavelos other than the restaurants near the flat and the beach. Nice quite town. We were staying near by the train station. quite a few shops and restaurants with great seafood selection, cafeteria, pharmacy around. chinese mini supermarket where you can buy anything you can imagine (non food), walk to the beach is about 7min

Paco de Arcos was a short 20 minute ride from the airport and just outside the city center. It is a quaint town, quiet and had great restaurants, lovely people and easy access to both train transit and beaches. You can walk all the way to Lisbon along the waterfront with many beaches and landmarks. We did a day trip to Cascais via the train and were completely at ease for our entire stay. Our best outing was a day trip to visit many of the Knight's Templar historical sites with a local guide who was a history buff and shared much of his knowledge with us.

The area was full of Quality built property with lots of trees,there were a good choice of supermarkets,the beaches were good,plenty of resturants
bars and cafes,there was a nice small park.I dont go out drinking and I did not have details of any alternative evening activities,except for the excellent 4 evenings of musical entertainment at cascais festival. I ate all my meals at save the world hostels as it was my plan to walk and sight see in the morning take a break at lunchtime and do the same in the afternoon and read my books as well.Pingo Doice supermarket you could
get a cup of coffee and a custard tart in their cafe for 1 euro.At Aldi Supermarket you could buy a packet of Markus Bio ground coffee (exc)

We really enjoyed walking around the city, the views are very pretty and overall the buildings and structures are really beautiful, lots of stone archways, marble and old stone buildings to admire and pretty cobbled paths to walk. The road out by the coast is really enjoyable to walk also with landmarks like the boca du inferno well
Worth a look. Restaurants are plentiful with good food and lots of nice cafes to enjoy a coffee and pastry while enjoying the autumn sun. The weather was perfect whilst we were there, warm but not too hot. The train station in cascais takes u into Lisbon city in 45 minutes and is really enjoyable as you pass along other sea side towns with a view of the sea as you travel. It’s not expensive and runs every 20 mins

Estoril is a beautiful area, so well cared for and just a delight to experience. The town itself is stunning, buzzy and many areas to visit. The beaches are sandy, clean and so many areas to park. Cascais is definitely worth visiting.

All best beaches in Lisbon Subarban are located in Oeiras region. If booked a hotel this region , all the prominent beaches like Carcevelos , Cascais are all reachable in short duration by the Moffusil train. Beach lovers can think staying in Oeiras region . Please note , I found public transport is not much effective or the frequency is very low , lot of time waiting for a bus , and finally have to depend on Taxis most time, that May shell out more expense
