Loved the a la carte breakfast and the dinner was to ask for more !
The rooftop with a small heated swimming pool and the garden/see view it is were it’s possible to have cocktails and drinks and on the sun-beds relax after a marvelous day in Sintra and Cascais .
Plus the Art is always around us ( not even inside but also outside the hotel) , and it is possible
to sleep within a sculpture of the well know artist Vhils and also admire the paintings that are around!

From the first step inside Palácio Estoril, we felt we had slipped through a discreet portal into a retro, exquisitely curated world, part The Great Gatsby, part The Grand Budapest Hotel, a whisper of Europe’s 1930s aristocratic glamour, made intimate and alive. It is not the usual five-star routine with practiced smiles. The hotel moves as a single, living organism under the gracious orchestration of Mr. José Diogo, whose natural kindness seems to flow through every corridor and every member of staff. Nothing feels rehearsed; warmth here is unforced, precise, and deeply human.
It is comfort made intelligent; every detail correct, from the water’s warmth to the fall of the drapery, down to the coffee at the perfect temperature. Nothing announces itself; everything simply works. Immaculate cleanliness is not merely visible; it is felt. The Palácio keeps a classic soul at a remarkably high standard, and pairs that soul with a quietly posh sensibility that never shouts. The hotel and its people act together, attentive without hovering, elegant without theater.
We have stayed in well over a hundred five-star hotels; this is the finest experience we have ever had. It is the sort of place where a single visit becomes a tradition almost without your consent. You do not simply rest here, physically and spiritually; you become part of the ongoing story.
My wife cried twice: first from happiness when we entered our room, and again from a gentle sadness before we left. That says more than any rating.
We will return, and then return again, in the years to come.

Perfect location for the travelers with the car. Free parking available on minus 2 floor of the premises. 20 minutes ride to Lisboa center. Delightful buffet for breakfast with plenty choices. Cascais - very thankful to my colleague, a local from Porto, for recommending I stay at Cascais! It was the best decision, the town felt like home, and was easy access to everywhere! Food was excellent, transportation options perfect, and very walkable! I walked everywhere in the town, and went to Sintra twice via bus from bus depot, with excellent bus service. It felt safe no matter what time of the day or night- and even though there were tourists around, it didn't feel overwhelming like Lisbon or Porto, as there was a sense of peace and belonging! I want to go back again.

Oeiras is a suburb of Lisbon, so not overwhelmed by tourists. We found some great places to eat that were appreciative of our custom. There was a fantastic vegan restaurant just outside the town centre (Alma Veg). The main problem for us was the ddual carriageway that passes right by the beaches.

There were two issues that were not quite good.
There were two issues that were not quite good. One, the air conditioning was not working properly; one night it was too cold and the other 6 nights it did not work at all. Secondly, the shower was very slippery. I almost fell and slightly hurt my foot trying to prevent a fall.

Paco de Arcos was a short 20 minute ride from the airport and just outside the city center. It is a quaint town, quiet and had great restaurants, lovely people and easy access to both train transit and beaches. You can walk all the way to Lisbon along the waterfront with many beaches and landmarks. We did a day trip to Cascais via the train and were completely at ease for our entire stay. Our best outing was a day trip to visit many of the Knight's Templar historical sites with a local guide who was a history buff and shared much of his knowledge with us.

It's a cosy little apartment, very well situated, with a lovely large patio, garden with swimming pool. However, being at the garden level I was surprised at how dark it was during the daytime. bars and cafes,there was a nice small park.I dont go out drinking and I did not have details of any alternative evening activities,except for the excellent 4 evenings of musical entertainment at cascais festival. I ate all my meals at save the world hostels as it was my plan to walk and sight see in the morning take a break at lunchtime and do the same in the afternoon and read my books as well.Pingo Doice supermarket you could

We really enjoyed walking around the city, the views are very pretty and overall the buildings and structures are really beautiful, lots of stone archways, marble and old stone buildings to admire and pretty cobbled paths to walk. The road out by the coast is really enjoyable to walk also with landmarks like the boca du inferno well
Worth a look. Restaurants are plentiful with good food and lots of nice cafes to enjoy a coffee and pastry while enjoying the autumn sun. The weather was perfect whilst we were there, warm but not too hot. The train station in cascais takes u into Lisbon city in 45 minutes and is really enjoyable as you pass along other sea side towns with a view of the sea as you travel. It’s not expensive and runs every 20 mins

All best beaches in Lisbon Subarban are located in Oeiras region. If booked a hotel this region , all the prominent beaches like Carcevelos , Cascais are all reachable in short duration by the Moffusil train. Beach lovers can think staying in Oeiras region . Please note , I found public transport is not much effective or the frequency is very low , lot of time waiting for a bus , and finally have to depend on Taxis most time, that May shell out more expense
