SpainWe loved our stay in Monte da Guia. The room was facing the sea and it was very close to Porto Pim beach and within walking distance to Horta city center. There are cafés and restaurants around, but the house has two shared kitchens, so cooking there is also an option. It's also possible to see Pico island if the weather allows it. Definitely a great place to stay!

The breakfasr very nice with only local food and hand made very good orange cake (by Ana), and very nice hand made Yogourt (by Kyle).
Fruits in the garden, eggs from the chickrn, vegetables from the organic garden, no need to go to the local market in Horta (nice small market with only local products at the good price)
Everythings perfect even if at this season it rains a lot ;)
Kyle is too a fishi'g specialist from the shore or snorkeling he has his part time company and he is passioned so a nice plan :)

Vale de Cocos is a modern, newly renovated apartment with all the amenities you need, including AC. Our apartment was very comfortable, away from the street and very quiet. There is a great outdoor space with pool, outdoor eating, lounge furniture and beautiful view of Mt. Pico. Everything was very clean and the pool and outdoor area was taken care of daily. It is located in a small village outside of Horta where you find a couple of small supermarkets and a bakery but otherwise there is not much there.

We loved our stay in Monte da Guia. The room was facing the sea and it was very close to Porto Pim beach and within walking distance to Horta city center. There are cafés and restaurants around, but the house has two shared kitchens, so cooking there is also an option. It's also possible to see Pico island if the weather allows it. Definitely a great place to stay!

The location, the hospitality complex, and the amazing staff - create the peaceful atmosphere and the perfect presence. The room is perfect, comfortable bed, quiet. The breakfast is varied and very tasty. And everything is always with a smile and a wonderful welcome. Highly recommend!!!

The host is really friendly and he does everything to make you feel at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The garden and the views from the garden are amazing. Breakfast is suburb, the azores cheese in the morning was incredible tasteful.

Our room was great and was cleaned well every day and the staff was super friendly. Also the breakfast (for us a freshly squeezed orange juice, a coffee, a sandwich and one of the cakes/sweets) was very good. We felt very comfortable!🙂

The boulevard along the harbour offers beautiful views...
The boulevard along the harbour offers beautiful views towards Pico island. The town is rather small but offers all the basics. The people are are friendly. It's not so suitable for shopping and to really appreciate it you should walk around a lot and also explore the nature around the town. Public transport is available though rather limited.

My stay there was great, I especially appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the host. The place is perfect if you have to catch a morning flight since it is just opposite the airport, also bus station is just across the street. However, it is not very easily accessible from Horta if you don't have your car; the public transport by bus is limited on weekends, even during the week the bus rides only few times a day, Besides one restaurant 1km away, there are also no other places to eat nearby. But the nature around is amazing and place is very nice, the rooms very comfortable and clean and breakfast is good.

Loved that the host provided some basic supplies - coffee, milk, fresh eggs, homemade jam, olive oil. The hot water was plentiful. It was great to have a washing machine. But the view is the best selling point!

A quaint little village with friendly local people. Very close to everything if you have a car. There is no restaurant in Ribeirinha but there is a pub to get sandwiches and drinks. There are many places nearby you can drive to.

Horta is a fabulous town, friendly people, nice restaurants and pedarias and shops in and around the Main Street
Our favorite place to eat was a fab resteraunt overlooking the ocean Praia do a Almoxarife. Lovely harbor with interesting paintings from passing sailors.
Porto Pim Beach close by.
Probably best to get a hire car to see all the lovely spots around the island (quite expensive) although the local buses are pretty good too. Plenty of walking/hiking trails especially the walk around the rim of Caldeira e Capelinhos. Lots of amazing view points and botanical gardens

We loved Varadouro.
We loved Varadouro. We stayed for 2 nights but could have stayed longer to relax by the pools and swimming inlet. These swimming areas are located amongst the volcanic rock and are just amazing.
The area is very relaxing, the sea could be heard from our accommodation. We had a hire car, which is needed as the area is remote.
There are a few restaurants and cafes nearby.

We went on a full day tour of Faial with Andre at Visitfaial. This let us see all the sites. Faial is a beautiful island and I wish we had more time there. Horta is more of a town than a city, size wise. It has a big marina and this was buzzing with lots to look at including some big yachts. There are some busy bars and restaurants which are fun to visit although we preferred the quieter ones in Porto Pim Bay Area. Genuino has lots of memorabilia from the owner’s sailing adventures. The tuna steaks were massive. We had a table upstairs at window with lovely views across the bay. Taberna de Pim was also good and we were able to eat outside on the bay.
