The staff are ALL warm and welcoming, they know and remember your name and are always eager to share their experiences and knowledge about the island and the Azores in general. The facilities are perfect (sauna, pool, steam room, yoga studio, gym....) and well maintained. The rooms are perfect comfortable little cocoons. The shower has great pressure and temperature control, the beds are some of the most comfortable I have had in a hotel and the view takes your breath away every morning.
Breakfast was fresh every morning and the variety was great. Choices changed everyday which made it enjoyable, as we stayed for almost a week. Coffee (GOOD COFFEE), tea and fresh water are always available.

We had a cute little bungalow looking out onto the ocean and the well-known Cabras Islets. Each morning we could watch the sunrise, listen to the birds, and sometimes we even had a visit from the family cat. Our hostess met us for check in and gave us a tour to of the property to welcome us. The concept is so welcoming and it is a great location to spend a week or more. Breakfast is delivered in a picnic basket and you can sit on your porch or use some of the shared facilities if you prefer to eat inside. I loved the picnic basket - there was a table cloth, a handmade mat, and more than enough food to keep you going for the day. On your first day, there was a paper in the basket that included recommendations on activities, tours, restaurants, even tips on where to park at certain locations, etc.

Absolutely beautiful place with astonishing view of the ocean. The host - Hugo - is truly friendly and helpful person, taking fantastic care about his property. The swimming pool is perfectly clean, the grass around is literally English style, the sauna and fireplace ready to be used at any time. Every morning he is cleaning all the facilities to ensure you can have comfortable rest. The distance to the airport is good (25 min drive) and similar to the main towns and attractions. I can truly recommend this place for a vacation stay.

The hotel couldn't be located in a better street in the centre of Angra do Heroismo. It's small and cozy, with character and with very friendly staff. The receptionist helped me with information on public transport to get to the hotel and she was very attentive throughout the stay. Clean room and bathroom.

Most of all the friendly, supportive and professional staff. Only 2 nights and I felt at home. The outdoor swimming pool and direct access to the public beach. Overall the facilities, amazing room and the extraordinary view. Th SPA and services are a must to try!

Beautiful minimalist decor, quality fittings and furniture and a lovely cliff top location to view the sunset. The owners were friendly and attentive and appeared in moments to check we were OK when a brief power cut affected the surrounding area.

Beautiful.
Beautiful. There are many fascinating old buildings, cozy cafes, great beaches, and steep hills to climb. Great nature reserve at Monte Brasil. The people are very friendly. Quite a few facilities in this small little town. Very relaxing.

Being close to the airport, you can even walk there. It's right next to the beach, with access to water sports, bars, restaurants, and supermarkets. Plus, you can easily get around using public transport. The receptionist who helped me with the booking process was very helpful and professional. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Go stay somewhere nicer on Terceira. I only stayed in the very windy village of Lajas for one night to be closer to the airport for my very early flight. There are some restaurants here but don't expect much. Praia do Vitoria is nearby if you like to hear airplanes overhead.

Its a small island formed from multiple volcano calderas. There are plenty of fantastic viewpoints. Its much less taken over by tourism than other bigger islands so you really feel authentic.
Food and drink is very cheap and even excursions/trips are fairly affordable. Car hire etc has less choice than a bigger island. We hired a 125cc scooter which was a great way to explore the island.
Many of the shops/bars speak English, but plenty of the locals do not. If you can learn a little Portuguese before you go it will definitely help.

There is not a lot going on in this town.
There is not a lot going on in this town. Most visitors spend only an hour or two at the shore. For the extra day Trilha Rocha do Chambra is an inland hike closer to Biscoitos than Angra. The shore walk to Quatro Ribeiras gives some good shore views. In late May it was cloudy every day; but no rain. There is one very food restaurant in town: Botequim o Baghulho.

Hilly nice little town with historical center and marina. Not easy to drive through and park, but excellent for walking. Not many souvenir shops, and lots of cheap Chinese fake products but comparing to other towns in Azores this one is quite big.
Bars, restaurants and bistros are there but these are not the best, they are sufficient though.
The natural reserve on peninsula with citadel and military base is extraordinary. Great view and experience, nice for picnic or hiking!

A very comfortable and pleasant town for living and staying, with very nice people, and an overall good atmosphere. There is enough to see and to enjoy, from food, ice-creams, and cafes. It also has a lovely small market where you can eat as well, and opposite a garden with a nice sitting area. It has all possible shops, a large grocery, it's surrounded by hills, and much green. There are many very nice old houses, nicely renovated
We are not young, so I can't say. There is a very nice and spacious beach with fine black sand
The town is a little bit on a hill, but by walking down, you can enjoy a very nice view of the sea. This is also the heart of the town.
Another good trip is a walk the monup the hill to ument. It can be walked from both sides, both offering very nice views all around.
Moving around without a car is quite difficult

I really liked Biscoitos because of the natural pools and the cafe where you can sit and enjoy the sunset. It also has bakeries and restaurants and a wine museum. The location is great for visiting the whole island. I would definitely choose to stay in Biscoitos again.

This is a historic town with interesting architecture, cute stores, good restaurants and a beautiful park area where (out on the point) where you can walk. We thought it had a lot more interest than towns on San Miquel island.

Praia da Vitoria is an interesting, clean, attractive town to walk around at any time of day. The people are friendly and helpful. The food outlets are varied, from quiet quality restaurants to burger bars and excellant coffee/cake shops. The transport links are good and the bus ride into Angra is not to be missed. Prices of food are a lovely surprise, for two people from €6 for latte and cake, €9 for coffee and sandwich, €20 for a main, beer and coffee to €50 for a three course with excellent wine. Beaches are clean and seem very safe.
