We were 4 together in 3 person room 4 stars part of the hotel. It’s one of the most comfortable hotel for the family with a small child. I had a lot of dubs. In a 4 stars part you haven’t room for 4 people. For example if our small one doesn’t leave a place for papa during the night (it could happen) in a big bed there is enough place for him with an elder son on a sofa or not 😅 And It was enough. You can make a full bed from a standard sofa which you have in a triple room if it’s necessary. And the room and bathroom were comfortable big for family.

They gave us free upgrade and we had the best view to mountains ether.
• Good breakfast and dinner
If you order the dinner in advance, before coming, you will get it for 10 euro per person. Yes it’s quite simple, but you always can find what to eat even if you are vegetarian.

GermanyAbsolutely everything! The staff were exceptional, always friendly and attentive. The room was superb, beautifully appointed with a wonderful bath where you could lie and gaze at the stunning mountain views.
To top everything off the restaurant served the most amazing food and is well worthy of its two Michelin stars!

RomaniaWe stayed at this hotel for 10 days, to do mountain hiking around. I liked the family room, sufficient space to deposit your stuff and luggage. Some remarks in other reviews mention about the lack of air conditioning. During our stay, there was a heat wave for one week and we didn't feel the need for any cooling. Also, there were comments about limited options for breakfast - it is somewhat true, but not that much if you think it is still a 3 star hotel. We would definitely return to this hotel if we would visit again Kranjska Gora.

Highly recommend the place, beautiful and clean rooms with a dreamy view. Enjoyed every second feeling like being at home in the most beautiful tourist place in Slovenia.
The service we received was amazing, the owners of the place are generous people and provided warm and fast human service and with them you are in good hands.
When we return to vacation in Slovenia, we will certainly return here as well.

The location is amazing with breath-taking views of the Alps in the Vršič Pass. Lots of things to see nearby. The staff were very helpful and helped us with info regarding hikes, trails, hidden gems nearby, etc. The the rooms were very clean and cozy with nice views. Food was also really good. Would definitely like to return

The Alpina Hotel is my favorite for a lot of years. I like accommodation, locality, meel and professional and friendly approach of the staff. Thanks to reconstruction the Hotel is very modern and pleasant.

Excellent location, near to the ski lift and to the center. We have visited Kranjska Gora many times before, but this was our best holiday. :) The apartment is comfortable for a family with two children and we had everything for a relaxing stay.

Great place for a little escape to the mountains when I...
Great place for a little escape to the mountains when I travelled in late summer for trail running. The town is full of nice little restaurants, many of them offering superb Slovenian food.
I recommend Pino Alpino for a drink and dinner at Restaurant Lipa.
If you have a day to spare a trip to Lake Bled is also well worth of your time, either to go swimming or to take a trip around the lake by boat.
I would recommend having a car as it can be tricky to get in and out of town without.
Will come back in winter to check out the slopes!

The small village of Mojstrana is at the beginning of the climbing area for Triglav, and the place is amazing—calm and beautiful. Houses and backyards are so clean, and the stream in the center of village is so cute. If you like bike tour there is bike road toward Kranjska Gora.

Rateče is a small village in the northwest corner of Slovenia, literally a few hundred meters from the Italian border. The tourist resort of Kranjska Gora is located 6 km to the east, and the Slovenian Alpine Museum in Mojstrana 20 km to the east. Very scenic Fusina lakes are 8 km to the west. The interesting little town of Tarvisio is also nearby in Italy. The area offers nice hiking and cycling possibilities, exploring the 19th and early 20th century military fortresses, and also exploring the interesting small baroque churches. Walks in the surroundings of Rateče are fantastically tranquil and relaxing. The area also offers some nice restaurants with traditional food, as well as very tasteful cheeses! Planica Nordic Centre is located 3 km to the south from Rateče. The Alpe Adria Cycling Path runs along the abandoned but very scenic old railway Tarvisio - Jesenice!

Very cozy and peaceful, a 3 minute drive from Kranjska Gora, convenient stays and lodges in the area, there are stunning landscapes surrounding this little village, just perfect. Waterfalls and forests are on walking distance.

Kranjska Gora is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts such as trail runners like us. We visited to run the UTMB Julian Alps in September so the atmosphere was buzzing. Weather was amazing, we definitely got lucky as a storm rolled in the day we left. A few nice restaurants, pubs and cafes, all of which really good value.

Great scenery and nature. Public transport could be improved. Had amazing pizza at a cozy little ski lodge/cottage next to the Bedanc ski resort in Podkoren, it's called "Bife Velika Dolina".

Good starting location for trips to Austria, Italy or Slovenian mountains. We visited fortresses from the First World War period, lakes, Soča river, mountains, mountain passes and a Russian wooden church. We will come back for sure for hiking.

What a lovely place to stay.
What a lovely place to stay. Easy access to cycle paths to Kranjska Gora. Easy access by car to Triglav routes. Comfy, with a good mix of rustic charm and modern convenience. Make sure to check out Gostlina Ema near lake Bohinj for incredible food in a stunning location.

Scenery in and around Kranjska Gora is stunning. Clean, safe, good bus service to Ljubljana, and lots of cafes and restaurants. Lake Jasna is particularly beautiful. Plenty of places to hire bikes, with beautiful bike trails .
