The owner was so nice and helpful! You had a cute little balcony with sun in the morning. The area is great with some cozy restaurants near by. Plus a 7/11 around the corner. The room was clean and very comfortable. They had a safe code and security guard by the entrance, so you felt safe. All in all a lovely hotel with the most helpful owners.

Nam was a great host, she helped us get an excellent ocean view room. She also helped arrange scooter for our travel to the market. Service throughout was fantastic and very proactive. We were allowed a late checkout upon request as we were late in packing our stuff. The whole staff was very friendly and attentive. The massage lady onsite had amazing technique and was very knowledgeable. The room quality was of a very high standard, furnishings and equipment was very modern. Although we didn’t use it but the property has direct access to the beach and swimming pool. If we visit Ko Samui again we will definitely be staying at Blue Mango and would really want Nam as our host again !!!

Palm Trees and Pristine Seas

One of Thailand’s most famous islands, Koh Samui (or Ko Samui) is a tropical paradise whose palm trees emerge from the pristine white sands at unbelievable angles, and whose offshore reefs make for great diving.

The most developed resort is Chaweng, though most bars and clubs are set back from the beautiful beach, so the views are still wonderful. Slightly less lively is Lamai, though its beach is no less impressive. Both of these resorts are home to a large number of Koh Samui hotels with private pools, a popular requirement of many visitors, despite the wonderfully warm waters.

Lipa Noi in the west faces Thailand’s east coast and has some beautiful sunsets, while the northern fishing village of Bo Phut is gaining in popularity. Nearby Mae Nam and Cheong Mon both have sweeping beaches that gently shelve into the sea, making them popular family choices.

Travellers don't go tot Koh Samui for its sights – but interesting attractions include the Big Buddha at Bangrak’s Wat Phra Yai temple, and the Wat Khunaram Ko Samui temple inland from Hua Thanon.

I thought really hard and couldn't find a single thing I could fault. The almost rainforest like property is beautiful and each villa is a delight to the eyes. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool in the villa and the space itself. My 5 year old couldn't get enough. While the beach isn't much to talk about it's still private enough and the waters were calm enough to take a good dip in the ocean. The two things that made this stay go from great to exceptional for us were - 1. The extremely hospitable staff and I mean each of them. They all knew my son's name from the say we arrived - from the buggy drivers to the servers at the restaurants to just about everyone. 2. Their kids club is small but has the most fantastic caretakers. I want to especially call out Sunny and Nguyen at the kids club who were so good with our son that he was perfectly fine playing there without us (a first). It's not cheap for sure but it was more than worth it for us.

What we loved most during our stay in this hotel is how the team pay attention to details especially when it comes to satisfy their Client needs. We enjoyed the food at the beach restaurant and the delicious Thai cuisine and international food at Dining on the hill restaurant. To conclude we loved everything! thanks to Six Senses Samui team.

This hotel is insanely beautiful. I cannot even begin to describe how relaxing and tranquil this resort is. The breakfast was amazing on each day. Walk to breakfast or to the pools, or to the beach is just filled with beautiful trees, birds, squirrels with the sound of the ocean in the background. . The staff were all amazing, and would do anything to help their guests. I highly recommend this resort and hope one day I can return

We got a free upgrade to pool access room which was nice. The pool is lovely and great for doing lengths if you like to swim. The beach is on the doorstep too and it's quiet. Food and cocktails are really nice too. The room is spacious and comfortable with a really nice rainfall showerhead. The staff are really nice and did everything they could to help us with anything, would definitely stay here again

The restaurant was fantastic, we ended up eating most meals there even though there are plenty of other options around. And the staff at the bar and restaurant were especially friendly, happy, and helpful and provided excellent service. Also, the pool was great, ping pong was fun, and we loved our bungalows...so private and quiet.

I have been to 4 Thai seaside resorts so I know a little about them. Koh Samui seems to lack a spirit of 'self' - the tours available go to natural sites which are average. And expensive. I didn't see any cultural tours. I saw hundreds of massage parlours, weed shops, and cafes. The whole place seems to be a fisherman's village that has been pumped up by advertising and wasn't really ready for it. I would really avoid this place in the high season. On the other hand if you just want to sit in a resort next to a beach and eat and drink, this could be for you. Long way to go though...

Easily accessible, used Grab, taxi service to get around, reliable. Walked along the beach but you can only go so far as you then have to walk through the water which is waist deep. You can walk along the road. Nice restaurant called The Cliff if you want to treat yourself. Did 3 trips, the first was the island tour which visits temples, look out and waterfall. Second tour was to the elephant Haven, this was amazing, very sad when you hear the stories of how the elephants ended up there after being rescued. They do a great job. Third trip was to Pig Island and snorkeling. Pig Island was 1 hour which I thought was a bit too long, maybe just half an hour should be allocated. Snorkelling was great and the lunch which was included was beautiful.

We stayed over on Ban Tai, which was quieter with a beautiful sandy beach, almost no one around. I got a massage by the water with only the sound of the crashing waves which was the highlight on my trip. Great for families and good food all around.

We used Getyourguide & did a half day tour of the island...

We used Getyourguide & did a half day tour of the island which was really good, our tour guide told us loads, this also helped us tick lots of sightseeing of our list in less than a day. We were staying a short walk away from fisherman's village which was perfect because it was quiet but not too far to get a grab to Chaweng beach that we could swim in. Perfect location if you don’t want to be too close to the party.

There are only two bungalows facing the beach and they are AMAZING!! We did not want to leave our hotel. Some of the other rooms looked nice too but faced the garden walkway. One bungalow faced a concrete wall. You get what you pay for. Loved this place so much.

Very friendly people and going to a night market is a great experience! Traveling across the island is easy but it may get a bit costly if you have to take a van for 6 or 8 people. Beaches on the east side are nice but busy. Beaches on the west are less crowded but may get narrow and untidy due to the tides. Overall we were missing the very long beaches with plenty of palm trees and powder-soft sand. Worth a visit are higher areas of the island in middle, e.g. Dee's Chilling Hill restaurant. Also going to the Ang Thong Marine park is very nice.

Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui. It’s incredibly beautiful — soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a little escape from the busier parts of the island. I loved how quiet and relaxed it was, perfect for swimming or just lying under the sun. The view with the green hills around was stunning. That said, it’s not the best during low tide — the rocks and coral can make it tricky to get in the water. Also, there’s not much going on nearby in terms of shops or nightlife, and some areas can get a bit pricey because of the luxury resorts. Still, for a calm beach day with amazing views, I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Loved our room! It was very spacious,clean & comfortable. The bed and pillows met our expectations. The pool was huge! Great for children or grown ups. A very ambient,quiet resort set on the beach front. The beach chairs are very comfortable and the best place to chill with a book or take in the amazing views. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is very peaceful and we ordered a taxi or grab to go to dinner in the evening. We had drinks at the Hotel pub one evening. Overall a great stay & value for the rates. The breakfast was sufficient …eggs and fresh fruit/toast/pastries. Handy if you have a motor bike to get around the Island as grab is expensive. .
