Beautiful building with nice wooden doors and furniture, covered parking. Big, clean room and bathroom; very good breakfast, comfortable bed, electronic door lock. It has all “standard items” and even a bit more than that. The supermarket is just around the corner.

The vibe of this hostel is incredibly positive! You won't find the place in the world nicer and cooler than this one! The staff is super nice and friendly, facilities are perfect! The location is magical. Overlooking the fields and a temple that is connected through a bamboo path/bridge that goed through the fields. The staff is very helpful and will do anything to accommodate you. We also loved the decor. Very tranquil Zen/Scandinavian style rooms. The bed was very comfortable as well. The lobby is more in an English cottage style where it’s lovely to relax and read a book with the lovely view. We also recommend to drive to the nearby mud spa (choose program nr 5!) avoid the VIP-treatment though. We highly recommend this place!

After being in Bangkok then going to Chiang Mai, we arrived in Pai. And what a lovely village this was! We arrived at out hotel and from the start it felt incredible. They came straight away to help us with our luggage. Addy the hotel manager welcomed us and throughout the stay he never forgot both our names. He arranged a private tour in the environment completely flexible according to our wishes. The hotel itself was a true heaven on earth. The pool was lovely. The hut was really great. The restaurant was good. The staff were absolutely nice! And the location of the hotel was just perfect. We also used the laundry service of the hotel and it was perfectly done. Absolutely our biggest recommendation so for on our visit to Thailand!

If could give hotel 11 o/o 10 i would. Was gamble to spend 8 nts, but turned out better than expected. All facilities met requirements, incl. shower which properly hot + super powerful - very refreshing. Whole trip mix of pleasure & work so location ideal as quiet for report writing, etc. for employer in BKK. Lovely view over river Yuam. Restaurant 'Coriander in Redwood' couple of buildings up for great meals. Think it's owned by same company. Also excellent roti stand about 200m further up. Not sure when opens, possibly 17.30 hrs., but closes 20.30 hrs. Mae Sariang is maybe awkward to travel to but definitely worth effort. We broke journey to MS by overnighting in Mae Sot and then for return to BKK in Kamphaeng Phet.

If you are in doubt where to stay, then this is the best place to stay in Pai! We are so glad we stayed at this hotel. The staff is perfect and did everything to make us feel good from the smallest to the biggest. They really like children and really became their friends during our stay. It was fun to get fresh fruit, get a shuttle to the city and back, eat at the hotel's restaurant. Thank you Oia Hotel you made our stay in Pai perfect. Highly recommend! I love Pai and have visited many times.

I love Pai and have visited many times. My favourite restaurants are Om Garden Cafe and Charlie and Lek's. I walked everywhere as I don't ride a scooter. Walking Street is always entertaining and I always feel safe. Best of all are the beautiful people of Pai who are friendly and gracious and always willing to help. For out of town tours, I used Pai Authentic Travel who are located next to Aya bus service on Walking Street. The Two Huts sunset tour and Pai Canyon are good short tours but they do many others further out of town.

Nothing to see except nearby shrine on tophills with stunning view of the town. Proximity to few Karen tribe villages. Besides that the town itself has nothing to offer. No life on streets and most of business closed after 8 pm.

The area around is beautiful situated in the mountains. The roads bend and rise up and down with very little traffic. There are many local restaurants offering cheap local foods. A great place to stop while travelling around the area.

It is a quaint little village that kinda looks fake because everything has been built for tourism around the lake. But it is pretty and a nice break from the heat. The road to get there has some very steep switchbacks. Not my favorite but you are rewarded with a picturesque charming town.

We stopped off at Khun Yuam as we had visited the yellow flower fields at Thung Bua Tong which are in flower in mid November. We were then on our way to Pia. We only stayed one night which was enough to see what the town had to offer.

Pai is the Gem of the North, a mix of great food, very kind Thai people, lots of cool spaces to motorbike to, lots to do, lush jungle forest everywhere..many very cool places to stay..so don't stay in one place..move around and see the awesome places to hang out. Elephants, River rafting, great food experiences..very very nice. 3 hours by mini van to Pai from Chiang Mai..I recommend AYA minivan service, way better than the ones at the bus station...same price..way better service and vans.

Mae Sarioang is the one crossroad of the R108 and R105...

Mae Sarioang is the one crossroad of the R108 and R105 between Mae Hong Song in the North, Mae Sot in the South and Hot/Chiang Mai to the East. Mae Sariang is for many an overnight stop from one of those places to one of those places, what does not gives Mae Sariang the attention it deserves. It is a great hub, for a good number of day trips into the mountain, to and along the Salaweng river and to a great number of viewpoints on relatively good paved roads and some dirt roads. It has conserved the old days charm of a slower Northern Thailand / Lana small town with enough bars, restaurants and coffee shops to fill a week. A good place to stay a bit longer and explore the hill tops, river villages and coffee plantations, before you are heading off to the next point.

It was worth the three hour trip from Pai on the most winding roads through the hills. Top tip - take a travel sickness pill. A small town that's geared up for a massive influx of visitors who on average only stay one night. Plenty of good restaurants and the 40 minute nightime trip around the lake is the highlight. Lots of good photo/video opportunities.

A small town which most people use as a stopover on the Mae Hong Son Loop. It is a lovely place with some lively local spots on the river. Trekking and rafting available. Recommend Ching Ching bar for drinks and Redwood and Coriander restaurant for great food. Cheap massage in local spots.
