Don’t be put off by the 3* rating as the service at this hotel is easily as good as any 5* I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment we got there to the moment we left we were treated amazingly by every member of staff who couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating to our needs. First, you have to understand that this is a caravansary and not a modern hotel. With this in mind, the place was amazing! It was like stepping back in time hundreds of years - although they have installed running water and even air-conditioning to the rooms. Sure, many things could be repaired and maintained better (for example the toilet seat was not well fixed to the floor and was a bit wobbly, and the shower drain was clogged), but that just adds to its charm. If you're a history geek or just want to experience something different than the generic modern-style hotel rooms then this is a place for you! They ask a payment in advance with a bank transfer which sounded a bit suspicious but in the end everything went very well. The food in the restaurant is very good but quite expensive at local standards.
