From the moment we arrived at the Hotel Continental, we were greeted with exceptional service. As soon as we passed through the front gates, we were welcomed with refreshing drinks, delectable sweets, and plenty of warm smiles - just what we needed after our long journey. The gentleman at the front desk, Fessi, checked us in with a delightful sense of humor and kindness, and provided great recommendations for visiting the local sites. Our room was spacious, luxurious, and peaceful, overlooking the hotel's expansive and bright blue pool, surrounded by swaying palm trees. The dining experience was truly special - whether in the main hall or poolside, the food was absolutely fantastic. A huge shoutout to Bessi, the server with the great customer service and winning smile (he looks just like Cristiano Ronaldo!), as well as the woman with the beautiful eyes who made us the most perfect omelets to order. Seriously, this hotel is the absolute best. We recommend this hotel - from the top-notch service to the beautiful accommodations and delicious cuisine, the Hotel Continental is a true gem in Kairouan.

We were so happy to find this lovely hotel! it is inside the medina walls, 50 feet from the free parking *find the restaurant El Brija - we ate there twice as it was so great) and it is physically across the street from the Grand Mosque. The decor is traditional and still has all modern conveniences. Even the darling doorknob to our room was super pretty (look closely, you will see the flowers). The gentleman that welcomed us was so gracious. He showed us the rooftop where it is lovely to enjoy a coffee and get the amazing view. Careful where you step as there is a cute turtle *about the size of a large grapefrutie) is roaming around up there, The host told me that the turtle is a beloved pet. I wish we had been able to spend more than one night, but it was a short stop on our trip.0

We were received with extraordinary kindness, warmth, and attentiveness that made us feel instantly at home. The house itself is breathtaking, truly from another era (since 1620). Every corner is a masterpiece: vintage, authentic, richly detailed, yet perfectly maintained and cozy. It feels like stepping into living history, but with all the comfort of modern times. The décor, the colors, the ceilings, the antiques… everything is unique and full of soul. The location couldn’t be better. Situated right next to Bab Jalladin in the Kairouan Medina, it’s literally two or Five minutes from all major attractions. You can walk everywhere. The perfect base to explore the city. We absolutely loved our stay, and we will come back. Highly, highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
