I went for a quick gateway to Qlusive hotel, as it looked very nice on pictures and I love Kusadasi. Let me say I was so pleased!! You arrive and a groom welcomes you, helps you out, with a smile. Then checking in was quick, efficient, the staff is wonderful, very warm and helpful. All the reception team THANK YOU, special thanks to Ipek that assisted me specially during my stay but really all the team members are amazing! They cared with great attention. I could not hope for a better stay! The Spa is also incredible, I was there for a couple of hours having head to toe treatments, they are worth the trip for! The suite had a view on the sunset, magnificent. Very spacious and clean. The bedding is of very high quality. I loved the top floor restaurant, I could not try all but at least I know that the food is delicious, you have to try the pistachio almond desert (I am sorry I forgot the name of it) and Thank you to the F&B team, Hassan that selected a superb red wine!! Also for the watermelon and Tulum cheese! I will never forget this gesture! Well to all the kindness and generosity of this hotel, from the welcomes to the goodbyes, it was perfection! I rarely encounter such high standards. They have made a loyal guest!!

I had a wonderful experience at Casa de Levissi. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful atmosphere while still being close to all the attractions. One of the highlights of the stay was the open buffet breakfast and dinner—both were delicious, plentiful, and offered a wide variety of options to suit every taste. Every meal felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The hospitality was outstanding. All the staff were kind and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived. A special thank you to Mr. Orhan, the director, and Mr. Yavuz, whose warmth and attentiveness truly stood out and made the experience even more enjoyable. I had a wonderful stay at Nakkas Hotel. It’s perfectly located near the waterfront—just a 5-minute walk to the restaurants and cafés, and about 10–15 minutes to the old town. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were truly exceptional. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. I rarely give perfect scores to hotels, but this stay was flawless. The hotel is amazing. With a few improvements, it can easily turn into a luxury resort. It's the perfect place to get inside and spend 3 or 4 days just relaxing. Despite the many pools, we always went to the hotel beach (cristal clear water). The bar is 10 steps aways, as well as 1 of the hotel restaurants. The rooms have an incredible view and the beds are extremely confortable. We chose one with balcony (instead of patium direct to the pool) for some privacy, which turn out to be perfect with the inside jacuzzi and the view. The food is not luxurious, but very tasty and with many different options. Has we don't have kids, I can't evaluate the options for kids, but there's a day care from 8am to 11pm, a store with many toys, including water toys, and a pool for kids with waterslides. Next to the pools there's an icecream house (delicious!). The SPA is amazing! We actually chose the VIP treatment (3 hours of several treatments) and it was soooo worth it! The hotel staff is very friendly. Many don't speak fluent english, but they always find a way to comunicate and we met very nice people. The whole thing works through whatsapp: you are welcomed by your host and from the moment you are shown to your room, you can contact the host via WhatsApp 24 hours a day. Everyday I asked for parties or schedules of something, etc...they answered right away. The hotel has activities the whole day (beach sports, ioga in the morning, games tournaments, live music, etc). We were sad there was no "crazy" beach party on that weekend, but the live music in the terrace was pretty cool. We spent an amazing 3 days weekend there. Thank you very much to the staff that was always so friendly and making us feel very welcome.

One of the best properties in the entirety of Turkey! Amazing, well trained staff all over, especially the manager of Meze by the Sea who gifted us a bottle of their own Olive Oil without even asking, John, who gave us amazing property tours, the entire spa team for the amazing management of the wet facilities (which i feel is one of the best i have experienced till now), May and Pablo, both who conducted amazing and fun activities on Global Wellness Day and Mustafa for the amazing TRX class. The seas are clear and beautiful, with fish all around. Top notch food, definitely worth a stay at Six Senses Kaplankaya (minimum 2 nights to enjoy the place)

A fantastic resort that provides everything you need for a fantastic holiday. Special mention to Firat Divitci at guest relations for his kind assistance. Thank you to Charlie at 'Regal Travel' (resort based). He provides a very good transfer service. There were a few things I didn't like but overall a great family resort. Azit (waiter) in the green buffet restaurant went over and above. We particularly liked the beach buffet. Lovely hot food. The management arranged us a Mexican Al a carte also complimentary. That was delicious.

Izmir can be a jumping off point for other Turkish...

Izmir can be a jumping off point for other Turkish adventures, as it was for me on a side trip to Kappadokya and Pamukkale. But it's close connection to Turkiye's founding, Ataturk, makes it interesting in its own right. I went to a traveling exhibition of Miro's works here. The Ascansor provides a nice place for a dinner and drink. Shopping on Cypress street, or taking the short harbor ferry to Karsikaya (sp?) are great, as is the bazaar. The Ataturk museum, the train museum across the street from Alsancak Gar, are also pleasant places to view the origins of Turkish history.

Beautiful positioned surrounded by mountains , harbours and Islands . Reminded us of Bali and the Whitsundays in Australia . Very clean , wonderful shopping and eateries . Make sure you include a Tuesday for the massive market . Also , we chose only a Four Island tour , rater than eight or twelve , much more relaxing .

It is mainly a port of entry for cruise ships and that creates chaos in the city and makes the visit to Ephesus as painful as possible. If you are not keen to see cruise ships but still interested in Ephesus find accomidation in the less turistic and newer part of the city.

The people are very welcoming there and nice. I would advise anyone to take a trip. The food is also sooo good. Full of flavor and culture!!!! You should really consider taking a trip. And stay at the Lume Hotel the quality of service is top tier.

This is where to stay if visiting Ephesus!!

This is where to stay if visiting Ephesus!! But lots more in the area. Allow a day for the castle , a day for village(/s), a day for Ephesus. Unfortunately the Ephesus entry now includes what was once a 15 Euro charge for the "Ephesus Experience". So price up from 25 to 40. Sadly the "Experience" seemed inappropriate- high tech visuals to show storm waves somehow closing off the harbour (it gradually silted up over the centuries... ). Giant Mark Anthony and Cleopatra on separate chariots in the main street... interesting computer graphics, but not something I would voluntarily pay for. And I don't really buy the idea that the Godess Artemis is really watching over the town to this very day. Selcuk doesn't need this.

Marmaris is a fantastic town — the restaurants, shops, and overall atmosphere were wonderful. The shopkeepers do try to invite you into their stores, but they’re not pushy — if you say no, they leave you alone. The shopping is excellent, especially for sportswear, trainers, shoes, and bags — lots of great bargains and very good fakes. We visited at the end of September, which turned out to be an ideal time to go, with a nice mix of people and a great vibe. Icmeler is just 10 minutes away by taxi (around 500 lira) or by bus (about 1 euro), and buses run every five minutes, so I definitely recommend using them. Icmeler is also a beautiful town and a great place to stay. I’ll definitely be coming back for another holiday!

The sea is still swimmable even at the end of November.

The sea is still swimmable even at the end of November. The beach needs a cleaning, unfortunately too many cigarette smokers during summer season throws their trash on the beach and little cleaning is not enough.

Nice looking and laid back town with mainly local tourists, few foreigners. Central beach is a mess. Good beaches are only accessible by transport. Beautiful historic fortress. 3 days are enough in this town
