It's located in the center of Istanbul , 10 minutes walking from famous Istiklal street, 5 minutes walking from the fancy neighborhood Cihangir, 5 minutes walking from Karakoy and 10 minutes from Galata Tower. It's in a quite neighborhood. Tram station is very close. There is a beautiful park in front. The famous Galata Port is 3 minutes walking from the hotel. The hotel is beautiful and new. Everything is perfect. The staff is amazing. Polite , friendly and they speak many languages. When I arrived there was Mr. Burak Can at the reception. He was very helpful and polite. I definitely recommend this hotel for everyone that plans to visit Istanbul . It's perfect for families and for business people .

The room was spotless and very clean. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They took care of all our requests and gave great recommendations for places to visit. They also arranged a taxi for us to the airport at a very fair price.
The location is perfect, right in the heart of Istiklal Street, yet surprisingly quiet at night with no noise from the street. It is also one of the few areas with minimal hills, which made walking around very easy. Public transport options like the bus, tram, and metro are all close by.
Breakfast was very good. Just make sure to go early to enjoy everything.
I would definitely come back and stay again!

We stayed at Akgun Hotel while visiting the nearby Koc University Hospital. Every aspect of the stay exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was really fantastic, with so many yummy options to choose from. The one aspect of the hotel which made our stay fantastic and is the reason why we will book again at the Akgun is the fantastic staff, the hotel management should be proud and should make sure they keep the amazing staff they have. I particularly want to thank the reception staff Orhun, Samet and Cetin who were so kind and helpful throughout our stay. They helped us to book taxi's provided local information and were very kind especially to my daughter. I also want to mention Mert in the bar who was also very friendly and hospitable. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for making it feel like we were at home and lived like kings during our stay. We were so happy, we already booked again for our next trip!

What truly made our experience unforgettable was the kindness and hospitality of the staff, especially Ramazan. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable, and we’re deeply grateful for his warmth and genuine friendliness. Ramazan played a huge role in making our time at the hotel so enjoyable. Without a doubt, we’ll be returning! Loved everything, starting from staff, facilities to services, communication.
Hotel team was very kind, attentive, helpful, big thanks to front office team, including concierge team (Gokhan Alan) and bell boys and spa team (would love to mention the names, but shame on me for not remembering). Did not use houskeeping so cant really build the judgment here

Some taxi drivers in Istanbul are unfortunately very dishonest and take advantage of tourists. My guests spoke Turkish perfectly and could communicate without any problem, but because they were tourists, this driver tried to cheat them. He drove them around for over an hour instead of taking the direct route and overcharged them. I have heard from many people that this is a common problem, especially in busy areas like Taksim. However, the next day, some honest locals helped them use the metro safely and without extra cost. Istanbul needs to ensure tourists can trust taxi drivers, because traveling in a new city should not be stressful or unsafe.

Unfortunately my experience got influenced a lot by taxi drivers between hotel and airport. The same way was at different price every time, taxi drivers at the airport don't speak English which is ridiculous. Nobody tells you even approximate price, even though they know exact location. The taxi meter shows whatever they want or so, impossible to read between lines.
Willingness and friendly behavior are almost unknown to people in this location. This can be addressed with a system of who is allowed to have a business at the airport. I don't hold out hope that anything will change. People will pay even for rude treatment. Sad reality and statement.

This is a very old crossroad, market city.
This is a very old crossroad, market city. There are many historic sites to visit but they are mostly mosques.
If you are into shopping - this is fine place for it but be prepared for big brand knock-offs everywhere.
Traffic can be ridiculous.

Corlu is fine but not a tourist place. I was visiting friends.
You are asking all these things but give no possibility of actually talking to you to get the problems we had sorted. The hotel you show was nothing like the reality. A wheelchair user could book this hotel and be totally stranded.
Also locally it is used by prostitutes.

We had a one week booking , our baby got a strong allergy the owner promised us a refund if we checked out but he said he will send it in the end of October
So we checked out
Now after contacting the owner they seem to be lying to avoid making us a refund , we also have pictures of the very bad situation the house was in when we got there that lead to the baby getting an allergy there was a lot of insects and the house was dirty

Nature walks, a lot of nice places to enjoy the beautiful scenery of valleys and mountains, Sapancha is a very nice place to spend a couple of good long days with the family and kids or with your partner. A lot and I mean a lot of nice places to have breakfast or lunch with a stunning view. Shopping is great especially the outlet at izmit.

Tuzla is a wonderful area on the edge of Istanbul.
Tuzla is a wonderful area on the edge of Istanbul. It has much fewer tourists and more of the local people, which gives it a more authentic feel of its culture. Despite having many restaurants and cafes now, you can still enjoy its calm atmosphere.

We were in Sakarya last year and visited only the park with the airplane transformed into library and restaurant. Really nice place to visit, also we eat great pide there in the park restaurant.
Unfortunately there is no time to visit more for just one afternoon, but I would suggest visiting Sakarya, as with any other Turkish city, there are many things to visit and see that you just do not expect by looking at the map or booking website.

There are three aspects to this location that attracted my...
There are three aspects to this location that attracted my companion and I to Çanakkale thy Troy aspect and the Gallipoli aspect and the Military and Maritime museum.
The horse used in the filming of the film Troy is easy to find and certainly holds attention. It's massive and the info nearby whilst sparse is informative. Located nearby is the Maritime Museum which also has the local castle in its grounds. This alone is worth the trip. The Submarine visit is a must with very knowledgeable English speaking guides to answer even the most challenging of questions. You could spend a day here and not get bored. The ticket is multi entry so you can enter and leave as many times as you want in a day. Although the national museum discount card is not valid the entry cost is well worth it.
Then finally the battlefields and memorials at Gallipoli; sobering, poignant, and testament to the absolute futility of war. You need at least two days to fully explore this place. The museum there is very well laid out and easy to get around.
We travelled across on the car ferry which was cheap fast and a pleasant sail.
Parking is easy providing you park in car parks which do charge but at least you are not wasting petrol cruising about.
I recommend this place to anyone wanting to appreciate the genisis of modern Turkey.
