Everything! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bright. The bar was packed with drinks. True hotel experience. There were even slippers and other amenities that the hotels in other countries did not offer. Truly a comfortable stay away from home.

The staff were very friendly upon arrival and for the duration of our stay. The room was very well equipped with all amenities you could think of. Balcony was a bonus! The bed was extremely comfortable, and the aircon was on point. Cantonese restaurant was good, although a few dishes were forgotten about, but the male waiter was very young and apologised for his mistake. Food was tasty and decent portions, although a little pricey.

What a great hotel. 1. Staff was exemplery - young, energetic and enthusiatic bunch of people. 2. Location is within walking distance to various night market and Shennong. 3. Hotel facilities- 8 floor has free old school arcade games, free laundry (9am to 10pm), social gathering area, free coffee etc. Free welcome drink at lobby. Even have Dyson hairdryer to loan at lobby. 4. Room- Super spacious toilet with all amenities provided. Small touches like disposable bowls, chopaticks etc for late night instant noodles.

Hotel was a big surprise fro me. In lobby for 24 hours there are coffee and tea service, cola,and soft drinks are for free of charge. Room was really nice and pretty big. AC was operating well. Also self laundry service is available all time for free.

Initially I was a bit anxious booking the hotel because of the room photos, but I can clarify now that we have stayed there for over a week: - Bathrooms are separated from the main living space via sliding walls and doors! great for privacy. Initially, I thought they did not have bathroom doors & separation by looking at the picture. I was wrong. - each room has a de-humidifier so that rooms/bathrooms never get steamy after a long shower - Front desk and cleaning staff were exceptional! Everyone was very accommodating, helpful and lovely to interact with. During our stay there was a typhoon, the malls and hospitals were open and we wanted to grab something to eat. The staff directed us to a safer route to the mall next door, by going down to b5 parking lot and heading into the mall entrance through there. It was so fast and easy! - close to Family Mart, about 3-4min walk - close to Mitsukoshi mall, about 5min walk - Pool was larger than expected and the lifeguards were always on their toes - towels and water bottles provided at the pool area - water station to fill up on water on every floor - shuttle bus for tour provided by the hotel, they even have a "party bus" I believe on Friday/Saturday nights. Book in advance for shuttle/party bus.

I have been staying at Tie Dao many times because it's near to the train station and to the University, and because the price is extremely competitive, and I've noticed great improvements recently. The lobby has been improved with tables to work or to study, vending machines, and a coin laundry. The staff is very nice and friendly, and the new staff speak very good English. The place itself is a very affordable no-frills hotel: the room is spacious enough, quiet, and with a good air-conditioning, the bed is comfortable enough, and the shower is hot and clean. If you aim to spend little time in your hotel room, that's enough. If you want to enjoy your stay, you may mind the lack of natural light or a cupboard. The wifi is fine. There are several cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby.

As a foreign tourist, too much food to try but not as much...

As a foreign tourist, too much food to try but not as much attractions to go that you can stay long enough to try all the food haha.. so, positive side, if you are a true foodie, you will probably return again to try out other food and might need to revisit some attractions or dive deeper and look for hidden attractions. I stayed for 5D5N which i was in fact told by locals who i met that this is one of the longest stay they heard. They recommend 4D3N or in fact 3D2N is suffice, for attractions wise. A pleasant place to stroll around by foot, which i did.. I spent hours a day walking along the streets to see various historical sites which are not too far away from each other. Gotta mention the locals are nice and courteous, enjoyed my time there.

Went to Anping Tree house, but it was closed due t Bee hives issue; Was able to tour "赤坎楼“， learned a bit of history. I hired a local taxi driver, and I have the freedom to visit wherever I want at my own time. from sightseeing at the " Little Amazon "(四草），salt field to local street food like beef soup ,etc...

A vibrant city with a very youthful energy. We found Tainan to be full of rich cultural and historical opportunities and enjoyed visiting Anping, Tainan Fine Art Museum, the Literature Museum, Confucius Temple, and Chi Mei Museum. We also found the cafe and coffee culture in the city to be some of the best we’ve found in Taiwan so far. There also seemed to always be something happening in the streets! We visited over Thu-Sun and saw a variety of trinket markets, night markets, Retrocession Day celebrations and even a halloween market! As with the rest of the country, all of the people are so kind and the food is delicious! We also found public transport to be very easy to navigate in Tainan, as well as time efficient. We will definitely be back!
