I have just stayed for two weeks at this hotel, the property is so clean and the staff are literally the best team. The rooms are clean spacious and very traditional to Zanzibar. I have never felt more at home and more welcome by Ben and his team. The staff team have been like my family and have been so polite and always happy to help you with anything you need. The property has all you need, and the location is a short walk to the beach and to the shops. I want to just say thank you to all of them for this stay and to have got me through some bad news while I was over here. This hotel is a MUST if you go to Kizimkazi 👍

The hotel operates exactly how it is described on its website. I do appreciate "quiet luxury" which can be experienced by a good quality of textiles, large availability of sunbeds, cleanliness, unobtrusive and helpful hotel staff. The focus on sustainability is what caught my attention and I really appreciated it during my stay. The hotel helps you to organize trips around the island and the local boat is available for sailing and snorkeling close to the hotel (at additional cost). Within walking distance you can reach several kite spots. Breakfast is rich, served buffet style. During daytime you can use the beach bar - very convenient, accessible in your swim suit, and in the evening the restaurant opens at the first floor of the main building (where the breakfast is served). I really enjoyed the view while eating. The hotel is located at the beach, but at the same time in the center of Jambiani town. Therefore you can easily experience the local life or stay at the quiet hotel area if that is your choice. The changing tides allow you to experience both the wide beach and the water reaching right up to the hotel, covering the entire beach. Hotel offers the sea shoes for 1 USD a day to protect your feet against sea urchins which are very common there. The lack of swimming pool is not a problem at all in my opinion. I occupied double room which was very spacious and sufficiently equipped.

Place in Paradies. We stayed over one week with two kids end of may/ beginning of June. Staff is wonderful, the house was perfect for us. a little kitchen and fridge was komfortable for preparing small snacks. the view in the morning, evening and all the daytime is amazing. most of the time the beach is amazing!!! just with very high tide around full moon you can not enter it. the breakfast location is close and a short beautiful walk even trough the village, if the beach is not accessible. 100 % recommendation.

We absolutely loved our stay at White Sands. The room was very comfortable and only a few steps away from the beach (and the view is also great!) The private area with sunbeds was a great spot to relax and soak up the sun. The hotel was also very clean and the staff was all incredibly helpful and welcoming. The hotel manager in particular was a great help with any queries we had and made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

From the check in to the check out everything was professionally handled. The staff was really friendly and helpful. One in our company has celiac disease, and needed glutefree food. The hotel provided this with no questions. The rooms were really clan, and was made two times each day. The pool was clean and fresh , and the environment was calm and nice. I would like to stay at this hotel again!

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

Beautiful beach, warm and calm ocean to swim in. Lots of eating options, amazing people. Yes, there are people trying to sell you things on the beach - but was quieter than other beaches (Like Paje) and they are all respectful.

The beach is beautiful and the water very warm.

The beach is beautiful and the water very warm. Because of the strong tides there's only water in the morning and the afternoon but it makes the beach very interesting and beautiful and gives the oportunity to walk far out and find seashells and starfish. The only downside to the beach is the many very insisting sellers who make it impossible to go for a walk without being approached.

We stayed in a peaceful part of town, where there were noticeably fewer street vendors selling beads and souvenirs compared to other areas. This made the atmosphere even more calm and relaxing, allowing us to fully enjoy the local charm without feeling overwhelmed.

Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice. Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open. We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company. Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email. The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule. The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent. Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional...

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.
