I had a great stay at Zan Paradise Beach. The hospitality from the staff and the manager, Mr. Khaled, really stands out — friendly, helpful, and always available when needed. The view from the room is incredible, literally facing the open sea with nothing blocking the scenery. It’s the kind of view you wake up to and instantly feel relaxed. The hotel has three restaurants, and the food was genuinely good — fresh seafood, good seasoning, and generous portions. If you want a bit more activity or different vibes, Paje Beach is just an 8-minute tuk-tuk ride away, so the location gives you quiet beachfront peace without feeling isolated. Overall, a comfortable place with excellent staff and a beautiful view and a great value for money.

It was calm comfy and nice mix of beach with nature (for couples and families it’s amazing). They prepared a little detail on the bed to welcoming our honeymoon (our first impression was top) The buffet was changing a little bit per day so good (the juice, crepes, Spanish egg, fresh fruit and avocados…) the staff are so kind and helpful they help to get tuk tuk if you want to go around paje Have the beach just in front and have beds to tan , there’s a security guy there always + they offer clean towels all the time to use in the beach. There’s a little store too if you want to buy some necklaces,clothe or souvenirs to Daniel (he is the kindest) You can walk by the beach and go to other restaurants around( we did our night walks around the beach with the moonlight) We definitely will comeback!!

Everything was perfect! Much better than we could have imagined.. Clean rooms ( cleaning every day ). Internet was normal. We didn't had any problems about the internet. Amazing view through the windows, good food! You don't even need go to see monkeys somewhere, because near hotel is small forest and there is a lot of monkeys! :) We saw that pool was cleaned for every day. Clean beach near the hotel! We felt really safe at this place. If we will back to Zanzibar one day, we will choose same place to live. Greeting to all employees! Especially to waiters and chef! Best place for "Pina Colada" and "Long Islands" :))) Good luck.

We loved our stay at The Residence so much that we came back even though we'd paid at another place already! The villas are amazing and the location right on the beach can't be beat. The staff are welcoming, kind, and helpful. The food is delicious with a good mix of Zanzibari cuisine as well as Western for those who are less adventurous. The spa treatments are relaxing, well done, and good value. There are bikes at the villas to get around, but it's very walkable. I'd recommend walking as you get a better chance to see wildlife (we saw dik diks, an elephant shrew, a bush baby, and, of course, monkeys).

I loved everything about this property. Starting from the staff, who were absolutely amazing to the food served in the restaurant. The atmosphere was very relaxing and even though you are literally at the beach, you still feel secluded being surrounded by all the beautiful palm trees. The pool was just perfect and though I am 100% beach person, I still found myself in the pool a few times a day :) Loved my room overlooking the pool and all the details that have been so carefully considered to make one's stay as comfortable as possible.

We stayed in a nice, camping-style wooden house with a pool view. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable for two people. Having a rental car made it easy to get around, and the location was excellent - safe and close to Paje for additional dining options. Breakfast was outstanding, and the resort features two amazing pools and a lovely beach. Everything about our stay was perfect, and we highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

Every superlative is applicable for Mahali. This was the most perfect stay and everything we ever could have asked for. This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

This place is a gem! A new hotel with a big heart, right by the ocean, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a stunning pool. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the breakfast is fresh and delicious, and very friendly staff. The beach is beautiful and the water very warm.

The beach is beautiful and the water very warm. Because of the strong tides there's only water in the morning and the afternoon but it makes the beach very interesting and beautiful and gives the oportunity to walk far out and find seashells and starfish. The only downside to the beach is the many very insisting sellers who make it impossible to go for a walk without being approached.

We stayed in a peaceful part of town, where there were noticeably fewer street vendors selling beads and souvenirs compared to other areas. Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice. Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open. We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company. Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email. The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule. The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent. Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional...

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.
