We had a great time at Bakers. It was an adventure to get there in the rainy saison, but it was definitely worth it! The staff was extremely friendly. Graydon was very helpful. The food was great too.
We were two families and enjoyed the peaceful place in the jungle. Like a little paradise. The safari and the boat trip was very nice. We saw a lot of animals.
With garden views, Africa Safari Selous Nyerere national park is located in Nyakisiku and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace.

The way that the location is run co-exists perfectly with Julius Nyerere National Park, and on top of that the facilities were perfect, food was tasty and the location is beautiful. The staff were also extremely helpful to the point where I can say they saved us! We had been let down by TAZARA train services so we’re going to be stranded, but the safari manager helped us to arrange a very reasonably priced private charter flight on only a few hours’ notice.
We opted to take a game drive, and our guides were extremely experienced and knowledgeable. We were able to see species I’d only ever seen on TV or in movies and even a pride of lions with cubs (very rare to see in the daytime). Highly recommend the whole offering of this establishment.
Situated in Kwangwazi, Selous River Camp provides a restaurant. The lodge offers a sun terrace and a riverbank swimming pool. Complimentary private parking is available on site.

A unique place with an amazing view from the bar/swimming pool onto the Rufiji river. We stayed in the tents which were really nice and from which we could hear all sorts of animals during the night... We also saw monkeys in the trees in front of our tents and an Elephant passing close by ... but it is all safe with Massai guarding the place day and night. The staff is superb and they advice and take care of everything in a discrete way. The meals are all very tasty and change every day. We did the slow Selous, the walking safari and the visit to Mloka, which were all very nice and well organized. If you the adventurous type, I highly recommend coming with the public bus from Dar to Mloka! A truly unique experience, traveling like the locals do!
