We upgraded to a suite, plenty of room, 3 thermostats so never hot or cold in any part of the suite. Nice bar, nice pastry breakfast with huge pastries, fruit, yogurt, etc. Very friendly staff. Rooms renovated to modern fixtures, while the outside was 100+ years old. In the heart of the breweries too.

Definitely do the trolley tour around Asheville to get a feel of the neighborhoods. Woolworth Walk/Gallery worth the visit. Botanical Gardens was disappointing, maybe because of the time of year. The Omni Grove Resort IS a great place for sunsets and drinks, but crowded and expensive. We spent only one full day in Asheville, driving south. Will plan to return to spend more time. What YouTubers tell you about the bears and the homeless is true, but both kind of keep to themselves.

If you're going to the park, the hotel is situation close to the entrance. It's located near stores but not walking distance to them. The casino is located directly across the street. For the Sun-Thu rate, I'm not sure you'll be able to find a better place. Rooms were nice and we were able to park a few steps from our door. The breakfast was minimal.

Great little town with a variety of restaurants.

Great little town with a variety of restaurants. Didn't like having to pay to park anywhere near the shops and restaurants on King Street. The Peddler steakhouse was delicious and traffic was very light all weekend. The foggy mountain gem mine was fun sifting through the soil to find gems. Found some really cool stuff and the staff actually takes time to sort through your entire bag to explain what you found. The wife is having them cut & polish a rose quartz we found and is having it set in a ring for less than $90.

If you like exploring small, charming towns, then Dillsboro is a great place to add to your list! There are several fabulous places to go, but I highly recommend Haywood Smokehouse if you are looking for a place to eat. You will NOT be disappointed. I am super picky about my brisket--so when I tell you that their brisket is the absolute best I've ever had--I mean it!!

This is a yearly trip for us.

This is a yearly trip for us. Waynesville has great restaurants like The Sweet Onion and Bogart's. There are lots of shops to browse and buy beautiful things.....great furniture at Massey's and always enjoy the General Mast Store. There are festivals here regularly; those times would really be crowded in the already tight streets. Patience is a virtue for sure!!! Most magnificently, Waynesville is the gateway to the Smoky Mountains where there are thousands of opportunities for hiking, biking, rock climbing, hiking vast distances like Art Loeb Trail. And do make a visit to the Little Drummer Pottery heading towards Maggie Valley! Lake Junaluska is another wonderful place with a 2.7 mile hike around the late. It is a conference center, but all are welcome to hike, enjoy The Rose Walk, The cross at the top of the hill which is shining brightly is the most beautiful site. WE have met many lovely people in Waynesville and enjoyed the crafts and artwork of the area.

Hotel was a great location.

Hotel was a great location. We were skiing at Cataloochee, and this was a wonderful place to stay. About 10 mins from Maggie Valley, 20 mins from the ski resort, just a few minutes from Waynesville where you can find pretty much anything you need. It's really pretty, lots of birdlife nearby (swans, Bald Eagles). This would be a great hotel for summer when all of the outdoor activities are available. Lots of great restaurants in Waynesville (Frog Level Brewing, Haywoods BBQ) and some gems in Maggie Valley- Brickhouse Burgers & Pizza, Caffeine & Chaos.

This place is located near some good restaurants and great outdoor activities. There is a beautiful waterfall a few miles away that has an easy hike and a swimming area. We took the dogs. The Cashiers Market is a great place to get fresh produce and meats. Recommend Cornucopia restaurant and breakfast at Zookeepers.
