I was looking for an overnight hotel in Boston, and was debating between an airport hotel or one in the city. I found The Verb and it had great reviews. Price was good too, maybe due to Last minute search. I am so happy I found this place. From the outside it looked a bit questionable, as it resembles a hotel on Miami beach of the 60's-70's. When I entered the hotel, I was so pleasantly surprised. It is a Mini-HardRock Hotel. with Rock'n'roll vibes and merchandise, pictures, and the BEST OF ALL… Records to take to your room – as each room has its own Turntable record player!! I loved my room. Comfortable bed and pillows, coffee/tea machine, AWSEOME robes. I had the best time working with favorite records playing in the background. Breakfast was complimentary. Their muffins were so yummy! Free coffee & Water bottles at the lobby. And get this.,… There is a HEATED STEAMING POOL OUTSIDE, in the Winter! Super cool! Its location is great. Just adjacent to Fenway! Felt safe. Many restaurants and places to hang out/shop around. Had a very good dinner at the hotel Asian fusion restaurant.

Nice hotel in a convenient location in the Seaport district (the Silver Line that connects to Boston is just across the road), and proximity to the harbour meant nice sea views from our room. The large size of the room was a plus too, especially when some other Boston hotels are tiny— you'll have much space to open up your luggage bags and move around. It's a large building, and when you go up the staircase, there's plenty of space and it's decorated with artworks and bonsai plants. We were extremely hungry one night and the room-service pizza we ordered from the restaurant was delivered very quickly; it was delicious and the portion size made the price reasonable. There's a buffet breakfast on weekends, and the food was good—it even had honeycombs you could scrape the honey from. Overall, excellent and friendly staff from the doormen, reception staff and housekeepers. The large lounge area in the lobby with powerpoints and a fireplace for guests to work was a nice touch and helpful for us after check-out. Btw: if you prefer a hot water kettle instead of the coffee machine in the room, just ask the reception staff for it. We preferred the former to boil water, and the staff had one brought up easily.

Everything was superb. The staff, the breakfast on the terrace, our diner in the Portuguese restaurant, coctails at the Long Bar. The concierge was great as well, in service and communiation by whatsapp. When we left we were asked what could be improved and we could not come up with one single thing. Excellent.

I stayed at this hotel for six days and had a fantastic experience. The hotel attendants were very polite and helpful, ensuring that all my needs were met throughout my stay. The room was spotless, and the king beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. There was plenty of closet and drawer space, making it convenient for 3 or 4 people to stay comfortably. The location of the hotel is excellent, within a 30-minute drive to Boston by car. Despite its proximity to the city, the hotel is situated in a wonderful neighborhood with numerous malls and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is located in a charming square, surrounded by several restaurants, a large supermarket, and even an Amazon locker, adding to the convenience. Overall, my stay was delightful, and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area.

Everything. The staff from the get go was amazing, super friendly and helpful! The room itself was superb, spacious, modern and clean. The Captain’s lounge was really nice. The location was very nice, we enjoyed staying on the harbour with awesome views and away from the city centre itself. We walked almost everywhere we wanted to. The breakfast was also the best I ever had at any hotel. When we checked out we took an uber to the airport. In between all the packing and loading the car with a busy toddler we forgot my carry-on bag at the front door. We only figured this out when we were at the airport and they contacted me. They phoned me and I asked if anyone can bring the bag. Jack and the team at Boston Yacht Haven was beyond amazing and the extra mile the went with bringing the bag was exceptional. I would definitely go back. And would highly recommend this place

A big city with a lot of history.

A big city with a lot of history. The Freedom Trail takes you to all the historic sites and past many famous landmarks. Take the train to get to other destinations and catch a Bruins game when they are playing at home. Check out the Union Oyster House for a delicious meal in a building with lots to learn about. In the winter go prepared for the cold, the tall building block out the sun and the wind whips right down between them. Beantown has so much to offer everyone from the young kids to the adults that love the city vibe.

Varied selection of coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Trader Joe's for all self-catering needs. You can walk to JFK's birthplace and tour his family home which was fascinating. Area feels very safe, good for strolling around and seeing distinctive, historic architecture - Dutch House was a highlight. Public transport into the city (tram) very easy. Mecha Noodle Bar at Coolidge Corner, and Martin's Coffee Shop (classic diner) were favourites.

I made reservations through Booking.com. Unfortunately, my plans changed & when I went to cancel my stay, Waltham refused to cancel my reservation. The front desk clerk insisted I had to cancel through Booking.com. When I tried to do that, I got a complete run around. After attempting to cancel for more than an hour, I gave up, called my credit card company & they removed the charge from my bill. Waltham confirmed that my reservation was on file. Their behavior in taking no responsibility in this matter left an extremely sour taste in my mouth. Waltham was quick to benefit from my stay, but not when it came to my having to cancel.

1 star ★☆☆☆☆

1 star ★☆☆☆☆ We had a very disappointing experience at both the Hilton Woburn hotel and its restaurant, Matadora. Matadora Restaurant: The food was bland and tasteless. My ribeye had no flavor at all, and the burgers made my daughter extremely sick with food poisoning, which is completely unacceptable. We asked to cancel a dish before it reached the table, and the waitress still insisted we had to keep it and ended up charging us for it anyway. Service was not friendly or attentive at all. We also mentioned we were celebrating my daughter’s 15th birthday, and there was no acknowledgment, no complimentary dessert, not even a simple “happy birthday.” I ordered a lychee martini, then a passion fruit martini, and the server just said they didn’t have it — without even checking with the bartender or offering a similar alternative. Zero effort in making the customer experience enjoyable. Hotel Snacks: The lobby snacks are outrageously overpriced. $18 for a horrible sandwich? It felt insulting for hotel guests. Hotel Overall: Very boring environment with nothing to do. The pool closes extremely early and the gym only has three machines, which is shocking for a hotel in this price range. No amenities that make the stay enjoyable or worth the money. Overall: ❌ Tasteless food ❌ Terrible service ❌ Food poisoning incident ❌ Overpriced snacks ❌ Nothing to do at the hotel ❌ Poor amenities We were expecting a special night for my daughter’s 15th birthday… and it was the total opposite. We would not return and do not recommend this hotel or the restaurant at all.

the host was very uncooperative, the place had heaters but none of which worked so the house was the same temperature as the outside which was in between 40-50 degrees. had contacted the host to notify them and when they said they were sending someone out no one showed up. did not even stay in the house for the night because of how uncomfortable and uncooperative the host was. would not recommend to anyone if they want to have a comfortable place to stay. :(

My trip was of a personal nature.

My trip was of a personal nature. My Aunt was diagnosed with terminal cancer. My cousins and I spent time with her. I had a special one on one special day with her and went to all the places I grew up when I was a little boy. My Mom always wanted to "go back home." She only got to do that once. We moved to California when my stepfather's Apollo tracking ship (retrofitted at Quincy ship yard), was relocating to the west coast. My Mom died last year at 90 years old and my aunt is currently 88. I enjoyed the food immensely (hot Italian sausage and meatball sandwiches). My cousin also bought about 30 plus lobsters on the dock for only $7 each.

Broken alarm clock, broken room phone and door latch is broken too. The door doesn’t close behind you, when leaving. You need to reset latch from inside of room. Just before leaving it. I’d told front desk about it. She claimed that was normal thing. Then why NOT place a sticker on doors stating that. It was annoying every time, I’d stepped out. Then more problems was noted of noise from downstairs lobby of EMT’s taking a guest away at 12:30 AM. So slept poorly, then work up late for my day. Because of a broken alarm clock in room. When called on my cellular the next day and asked for late check out to get myself ready to head out. She declared they’re be a charge for that extra request. I’d left in a hurry and was very upset how we were treated as valued customers. I’ll never return there again. DF
