The property is incredibly centrally located and you can walk to all the shops and restaurants within a few minutes. It's super cute, very clean, friendly staff, and a nice little outdoor common area to have a glass of wine or a tea in the morning.

FAQs about hotels in Martha's Vineyard

A Summer Retreat Off Cape Cod

The charming island of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, also known as The Vineyard, is a famous summer colony situated south of Cape Cod on the Atlantic Ocean. Popular with keeping low-profile celebrities, the island is a perfect destination for beach relaxation, fishing trips and hiking the cliffs.

Accessible only by planes and boats, Martha’s Vineyard is a peaceful oasis, where one can truly rest in a no-fuss atmosphere and fantastic summer weather. You can start your Vineyard experience in Oak Bluffs, town in the north-east part of the island, known for its Victorian-style cottages and a beautiful harbour.

West from Oak Bluffs, there is Vineyard Haven, the main entry port of the island and during summer, one of its most populous tourist destinations. There you can rent a 4x4 and drive to see the Vineyard’s lighthouses, including the Gay Head Lighthouse in Aquinnah located next to the cliffs going by the same name.

Other island activities include horseback riding, cycling, golfing and, of course, sailing. You can practice the latter in Martha’s Vineyard’s town of Edgartown, an old whaling port and the location for the filming of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws.

Arriving at the Martha’s Vineyard Airport you’re just a short drive from all the attractions. Booking.com offers a wide choice of properties on the island: from hotels on the beach to accommodation with a pool.

Absolute gem of a town.

Absolute gem of a town. The people are so nice and it just feels like summer when you visit here. Great restaurants and beaches near. Great free public transportation offered. Neighborhood felt extremely shaved.

Great view of the harbor and close to the bus stop.

Great view of the harbor and close to the bus stop. Also restuarants were only a few blocks away. We were there late October, so many activities were closed for the season, including restaurants, so it would have been nice if there was a restaurant in the hotel rather than just a canteen with limited selections.

Vineyard Haven was our least favorite part Martha's Vineyard we thought there was much more to do in Oaks Bluff and Edgartown. but it is an easy island to get around on so the location was not an issue.

There are a lot of things to see and do on the Island.

There are a lot of things to see and do on the Island. We were there for a wedding and stayed 3 days, but we could have stayed a few more in order to take in the Edgartown side of the Island. The cliffs at Aquinnah are stunning. The history of the area is very interesting and the shop owners near the lighthouse are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Nice small town , like most of Martha’s vinyard .

Nice small town , like most of Martha’s vinyard . It’s a bit in the woods, but that added to rustic feel. Just don’t do Nana’s treehouse until they fix the ant problem and put better curtains in the bedroom

The people are very friendly and quite helpful!

The people are very friendly and quite helpful! It's a beautiful everywhere! The Gingerbread Houses were spectacular! The food was superb. I bought the most delicious potpie I've ever had at a nearby farm store that I wish I could remember the name of. I also had the most moist and crunchy cod fish and chips ever. This was my very first trip to the island (that's why I can't remember the names, but I stayed at The Frankin Hotel Martha Vineyard, which everything was within walking distance from everything and I'll be returning throughout the new year and I plan on staying in Edgartown!!! Can't wait for spring!

The atmosphere and energy of Oak Bluffs is so relaxing, warm, and friendly. It's a place of serenity. It's easy to get around by walking, car, or taking a bus, which were free during our stay. Great food, especially the lobster rolls at Lookout Tavern! Phenomenal scenery everywhere!!

Terrible odour in unit and in desperate need of updates. Ants are crawling everywhere and floors are not levelled! Location and size of place is good. Hosts were unresponsive when these issues were raised. Would not recommend this place.

Depending on how you like to vacation, this is a very good spot. It was close to all of the day trips we wanted to do. Our rental was like staying in a small house. This was helpful because we were on a 3-week trip and had over packed to begin with. We had looked at a camping ground, but the extra amount of 'stuff' we would have needed would have been overwhelming. It's vacation spot, so you will have to deal with traffic, but it wasn't as bad as Route 80 in Jersey at rush hour. There were a number of good restaurants, but the kitchen in the rental made it the best between eating out and eating in.

July and August are busy , crowded peak times with great festivals. Book your stay way in advance! The town has lots of restaurants, bars, stores and clean beach. Has boating activities, historical tours and a great neighborhood to walk and explore. Take comfortable walking shoes and a sun hat!
