CanadaWe stayed the second night after they had opened, and the afternoon tea and treats were among the highlights of our family trip. The kids enjoyed them and we were able to chat about our hikes and plan the next day together.
The rooms were also very clean with lots of towels. Most staff seemed very helpful. Found the beds nice and firm and lots of pillows. Could use another blanket in the closet, though.
Lots of parking and it was free. Underground parking was included, as was breakfast. Delicious breakfast made by their chef and you can order your dish freshly made. Lovely!

If you stay here, make sure to take advantage of the grill, cornhole, propane fire and regular fire pit that has fire starters, wood and paper to make starting your fire super easy! BelgiumWe booked this tiny cabin for 3 nights during november (during first snowfall of the year at Acadia, so it was chilly outside) and were very pleased with how cosy everything was! The heater was enough to get the cabin up to temperature (bathroom was a little cooler, but nothing a hot shower can't fix). The kitchen was véry well equiped, we had everything we needed and more.
The bed was very comfortabel en there is enough room to store luggage (no closet however). Check-in was easy with code lock.
This was a super charming way to visit Acadia, location was A++, would definitely recommend!

GermanyWe thought of this booking more like an Airbnb, rent a room style. We are not really familar with the Bed & Breakfast concept shown here. But it was a very pleasant surprise. The owner live in the building and renting out two nice rooms in the main Building and one room in a little house in the backyard.
They where very nice people with great advices for our trip in Bar Harbor and the two dogs where an added bonus.
- Everything is very new and nicely furnished and decorated.
- Breakfast is homecooked every morning and was exceptional!
- Awesome place to also meet other guests and exchange about the vacation planing

We will not stay at any other hotel in the future. Acadia Inn was fantastic! Easy check-in with friendly staff. Neat rooms and comfortable beds. There are many extras that make your stay enjoyable. For example, cold water and ice are available on the ground floor. Also free tea and coffee. In the late afternoon, a snack is laid out for guests to enjoy. A big treat was the fire and s’mores that can be roasted in the evening – all neatly packaged. Breakfast is fantastic. There is a wide variety of food with tea and coffee and also fruit juices. Thank you for the trail mix that we could pack ourselves in the morning. It was a wonderful stay and definitely good value for money.

Constance, Christopher and Sydney and their team at Bar Harbor were super welcoming, providing us with lots of info about hikes, restaurants and other 'good to know's'. Our suite in one of the separate houses in the back was spacious and comfortable. Easy parking, good location, quiet at night but walkable to the rest of the town. We loved being able to grab a coffee (and cookie ;-) or lemonade at the reception area, as well as a small take-out breakfast before hitting the road; small extras that make a difference.

The room was well equipped, easily accessible and super comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The extra amenities (workout room, laundry) were clean and well equipped the parking lot was spacious.

Beautiful old building that was converted sympathetically from a church. Friendly and helpful staff. Bedrooms very pretty, comfortable and spotlessly clean. An absolutely delicious breakfast as well.

Bar Harbor is a charming and picturesque town with plenty to enjoy when everything is open. However, if you’re visiting during the off-season, be sure to have a backup plan—many restaurants and shops are closed during this time. Unfortunately, most restaurant websites aren’t updated to reflect seasonal closures, so you may need to walk around and check in person, then pivot to another option if your first choice is closed.

Bass Harbor is a wonderful place to stay and experience all the surrounding area has to offer. We biked, kayaked, and hiked during the week. Bar Harbor is an easy drive and a great place to get a book, eat out, and shop.

Exceptional does not begin to describe this property. Is it a beautifully constructed and secluded cabin mirroring the owner’s memory of her childhood home on the West Coast of Ireland. Imaginatively furnished, it is the best equipped rental in which I have ever stayed. Far from the hustle and bustle but close to all of the major attractions: Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, the Schoodic National Scenic Byway, Frenchman’s Bay and so much more.

Bar Harbor is beautfully located by the bay. It is set for tourism with numerous stores and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed eating at The Thirst Whale (the clam chowder was one of the best) and Geddy's.

It was quiet compared to Bar Harbor and very peaceful. There were many shops and a few restaurants. The marina was lovely. Bar Harbor and Acadia were just minutes away. I would stay in Northeast Harbor again.

Southwest Harbor is much quieter than Bar Harbor.
Southwest Harbor is much quieter than Bar Harbor. It is very walkable, with several restaurants and shops. It is a short drive to the Bass Harbor lighthouse and Acadia National Park. The city dock is open to the public, and you can get some good pictures of the harbor from the dock. I took my wife to the Red Sky restaurant for her birthday. It was very good.

The 2.5 hour guided bus tour of Acadia was very good (except for the young children that were on our tour). If you have a car, take a ride around the entire island Bar Harbor is located on. We spent 4 hours and drove 65 miles around the periphery of the island; the views were fantastic.

At 9:00 ,am we only had to.wait 5I MIn to be seated. Food prices were reasonable and the food is astounding! Tony, the guy in front. Was very friendly and remembered my name when we left.
