The homeless population is plentiful, but they stick to themselves. We never felt unsafe or bothered by anyone. All the people we met were friendly and very welcoming. The Pearl District is easily walkable with several necessity type places within a few blocks - Safeway groceries, wine and liquor stores, cannabis if that's your vibe. Also a few boutiques shoppes and spas were close by as well. Allora (homemade pasta) was some of the very best Italian our group had ever had!! We took the hour and a half trek across to Cannon Beach to see Haystack Rock and poke a toe in the Pacific (you're so close, how can you not?)! The little beach town didn't disappoint!! I had some of the very best "fresh caught cod " fish and chips I've ever had!! That was at Ecola Seafood Restaurant just off the main drag. Multnomah Falls tour was absolutely a winner - beautiful falls - even in the misty weather!! Some had short hikes to get to them but so worth it if able.Guest review byKendraUnited States - 6.0

Bend is a growing city that maintains both a social responsibility for residents, but the business retail community has higher prices on goods and products that forces consumers to move their purchases to online. I was interested in purchasing products (home furnishings) and reviewed a well known brand name product that was well over the normal retail price both online and at other retail firms outside the Bend market.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

We were surprised how few Seafood places there were on the coast. Mo's was a highlight. We visited Mo's twice and both times the food was great! Most of the restaurants were Mexican or Chinese. Many of the fast-food places were old or dirty. Really enjoyed watching the glass blowers and visiting Connie Hanson Flower Garden!Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 10

Don't be discouraged by the exterior! Clean, clean, clean room-- big plus! Jeremy checked us in and was absolutely fabulous! Excellent location despite the online booking which showed the location on the beach. We were within walking distance of the Prom and beach. The downtown area was so quaint and close!Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Great town with huge amount of attractions.
Great town with huge amount of attractions. Traffic is challenging and construction adds to the challenge. Downtown is pretty sad, but has some good features. Restaurants everywhere, great parks, lots of entertaining things to do, and of course, the crown jewel of the University and the U. District.Guest review byDennisUnited States - 10

Salem is quite small and unfortunately the state capitol was undergoing building work (it's one of the main sights). Not too many shops and restaurants downtown but the ones I went too were very good. Good place for a couple of days visit.Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom - 10
Great walkable college town.
Great walkable college town. The Shakespear Festival and sell out, so if you know you're going, get tickets ahead of time! There is some classical music, symphony and chamber that may be happening on any weekend. Esp. chamber music. Go for a walk in the city park downtown. There are also other hiking and outdoors stuff in the surrounding area. Downtown is great. Good bookstore. Movie theater has some indie films.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 10
Astoria is a unique town in a unique location.
Astoria is a unique town in a unique location. I love the architecture of many of the homes in Astoria and the way they are arrayed along hilly streets. The town is fairly compact so attractions are never a long drive away. Ships coming in from the sea to go up the Columbia river or returning to the sea lend interest as you drive or walk around the city. Astoria remains one of my favorite cities in the Pacific Northwest!Guest review byBradleyUnited States
