They also provided some water and a little snack. It was also very hygienic and the wifi was very good. Can recommend!

This is probably the 3rd or 4th time I stayed here. It has become my default stop-over when travelling from Johannesburg to Cape Town. It's a full day's drive from Jnb, leaving me with only a few hours of driving the next day. The rooms are well out of earshot from the main road, and the quiet and tranquility after a long drive is amazing. I saw a giraffe right in the road as I was driving to my cabin, and the next morning there was a little Springbok on the lawn having its breakfast when I woke up.
It is also only ten minutes from Beaufort West, so good dinner is always within easy driving distance.

This was our second time visiting, and it was just as special as the first. The location is superb. the self game drive was great fun. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The main reason we travelled here was because the food, without a doubt, was the best we had in South Africa in 2020 and Happy to say again in 2024. We look forward to visiting again.

This little place was lovely and the owner was so friendly and kind. I would definitely recommend this sweet little place with a lovely garden filled with birds 🐦 🐦⬛ singing. I lost an earring and contacted the owner who found it and took the time to post it to me. We will definitely be back the next time we visit SA. 😍

The Inn sits in extensive gardens with well appointed spacious rooms. I have stayed there on several occasions over the years when on holiday from Scotland and would never wish to use any other accommodation in the town. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and go out of their way to be helpful.

The place was neat and tidy. Met the standards of a perfectly 👌 clean stay over. The place had everything we needed, including filter coffee which is a scarcity in many places. Had bathing soap, shampoo, and hand soap. Nice and quiet.

Travalia is a little oasis in the Greater Karoo, just when your trip is too long this little jewel appears on your horizon.
Apartment was clean and had all the facilities you need. If you don't want to braai under your nice veranda, you can make a booking at the restaurant. Or, if you want to braai under the Karoo milky way, you can order in advance a good braai pack, salad and "braaibroodjies".
For breakfast you can make use of the Travalia Padstal where you can enjoy a traditional breakfast or a variety of pies. The shop stocks also Karoo lamb packs as well as many treats and gifts.

Merweville is a beautiful town! Friendly community. The town is very clean and neat.
The best coffee and breakfast at Die Boekklub with a shop to buy presents for family at home.
There is a nougat factory as well - Karoo Blessings, unfortunately they were closed when we passed through, but we could find their yummy treats at "Die Boekklub" in town.
The Graveyard is well looked after, we visited a family grave and we were very impressed!
Everywhere you drive, people will greet you with a friendly smile! It gives you a warm feeling of caring!

The location is very good The room very Comfortable and neat If you want to stay there without breakfast might be a better idea We paid for breakfast but did not eat.Menu very poor indeed..The owner should make sure all is set in the bedroom before guest arrives .Hand towels are a.must.Toilet rolls are a must.Sugar for tea is a must.and if you pay for breakfast it should be provided.not just scrambled eggs and boerovorce

Very friendly clean town. Locals amazing, beautiful church and houses.
Only one coffee shop (closes at 16:00) but Ronel provides homemade cooked dinners. We had Springbok pie . Local farmer pointed us to best spots for sunset and sunrise photography.

In today's living in South Africa, this is undoubtedly the cleanest town I have ever seen. Town and residential areas. Everyone we met, truly welcomed you to their place of business. The Owner of the B & B was particularly helpful with whatever we asked. No matter who we spoke to, every soul was so helpful with a smile and happy travels, thanks for visiting our town; - one could definitely not ask for more. Plenty of our choice of eating places, With GPS assistance it is really easy to find your way around. Those who can afford, Game Farms close by.

We did not venture through Nelspoort and only stayed at The Vale for 1 night. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious.
The unit was small, clean, and comfortable. The shower entrance was very small and the water did not drain. No airconditioner in the unit but a fan was provided.
We experienced load-shedding there at the time but they did have lights until 22:00 and they gave you time to shower until then.
This is a perfect venue for weddings. Beautiful setting.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at the charming Cindy's Huisie! The antique furniture and decoration of the house was a nice surprise. There was even a splash pool. Security and parking was excellent and we had a great braai, also using the unique outdoor furniture. Highly recommended.
