You’re going to think it’s weird but… I always wanted to try a South African Sun 1, in Belgium we call them Formul 1, just to compare and I can clearly say that the South African version is even better (private bathroom was so lekker!!!). For me those hotels are synonyms of beginning of vacation, when you stop for the night along the road on your way to Holliday, and that was clearly that warm and comfy feeling from my childhood I had at Sun 1! Not disappointed at all. Comfy place, clean, adorable staff, quiet,… I’ve nothing negative to say.

Wonderful team, warm and welcoming reception, and absolutely delicious food – both the dinner (arranged in advance) and the breakfast were outstanding. The room was spacious, the common areas were beautiful and inviting, and the garden was lovely. Since it was cold, we couldn’t enjoy the pool, but everything else was just perfect. A truly wonderful way to say goodbye to South Africa.

Karl and Tracy were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. I used to live in Benoni, and they allowed me to have a braai for a few friends and their families. I really appreciated that, as the main reason for my visit to Benoni was to catch up with my friends and meet their grandchildren. The 2 dogs were very friendly and made it like home from home for us. The cottage was clean, the beds were comfortable, and Joanna made sure the fridge was restocked with breakfast items that we could have whenever we wanted. The garden was peaceful and the pool warm. I would stay there again.
