The location is beautiful - between the mountains and ocean, it takes about 30 mins to walk to the lighthouse and the southernmost point of Africa (5 mins by car) and I recommend to have a walk. The views are amazing! The house is very cosy and rooms have anything you may need including a small fridge and nespresso machine. They serve fresh artisan bread in the morning (among other things) and are ready to meet any dietary requirements of the guests. I also loved the soap and shower gel in the bathroom (all produced in SA), their delicate natural scents complement the atmosphere of the place perfectly.

We loved our time with Carol & Gert (and Luca the cutest dog ever). They made us feel very welcome, and we were sad our stay was so short. The breakfast was fabulous, the room was comfortable, and overall exceptional value. The beautiful long beach at Struisbaai was just minutes away, and there was a lovely loop walk from the lighthouse to the marker at Cape Agulhas.

Cute, beautiful tiny cottage. Vicki is so lovely and kind. The Breakfast was very delicious and big. If you want to go to de Hoop, its a good choice. It's in a quite environment, and you're a bit away from civilisation at a very calm place. So beautiful.

Struisbaai is a quiet fishing port.

Struisbaai is a quiet fishing port. It has limited interest but great connection to nature, great walks, we saw the stingrays. It is noted as being Africas most southern point and has a great beach bar as well as some decent eateries

Agulhas is a quiet beautiful little town with wonderful places to eat and visit. The people of Agulhas are friendly and the sea view is lovely, lots of walking paths and an animal friendly environment. The southernmost point of Africa where the two oceans meet and it is part of the National Parks Council. You'll discover fascinating ecological habitats, shipwrecks, national monuments and signs of ancient settlements in this nature conservation area.

A beautifully quaint fishing village - feels far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Quite a few options to have a meal, including Willeen's, which is in Kassiesbaai with an amazing view of the beach and ocean. Bonus is that you have multiple options to swim in the area with at least 4 beaches to enjoy.

It is worth your while to visit De Hoop.

It is worth your while to visit De Hoop. We saw a lot of animals but unfortunately no whales due to the wind. The beach is amazing as is the restaurant by the beach. The long dirt road is a bit of a challenge.

A lovely little town which we visit every year to take part in the Voet of Afrika race. It could really do with some nice restaurants though... On a Saturday night only 1 restaurant open (former Flames grill) and was empty!

Great location. Amazing beach, ocean and rockpools. The house is basic but clean and well equipped. A minor problem was resolved very fast by the hosts . Nice brewery in a walking distance. Cute , well stocked supermarket - also very close. We had a great and relaxing stay

Breakfast very good. Coffee the best.

Breakfast very good. Coffee the best. In the town go to Sat market and stock up with food for when you get home. Cotton clothes -I bought 5 things. Coffee again. Wander down the main road. Further down to your right is a fantastic gallery on the left but most activity etc is on your left when you leave the property. If you are interested go up and check out the vertical sundial. Walk in farmlands and through the quaint village. But there is a fynbos trail. Only then you will need proper shoes for walking. Visit Agulhas, Arniston - and outside that town is Miems for coffee and a treat or a meal. Fynbos and renosterveld. Temperatures not too hot in October

Easy access to Cape Agulhas with a 5 minute drive which enables visits to the lighthouse, the southernmost tip of Africa, the shipwreck and an enjoyable hiking trail. The beach at Struisbaai is amazing and reputed to be one of the longest in the Southern Hemisphere. Miles of pristine sand made for a very enjoyable walk and then returning to the very active harbour to sit and watch the fishing boats come and go, Grab a milkshake or beer at the Harbour Cafe and sit and watch the world go by!!! Very relaxing.

The Lighthouse museum is a must to visit, as is the Africa map at the southernmost tip - hopefully they will cover it in brass as it's degrading. A sunset walk was beautiful in the evening, and the tidal pools warm for swimming.

Loved going back in time in this small fishing village.

Loved going back in time in this small fishing village. Dont forget to buy all your food and drinks because there is not a lot you can buy in Arniston. And also having cash is good as there is no cash point anywhere. Local liquor store that is at the back of hotel tho has enough drinks but selection is obviously not as good as in Bredarsdorp closest place to do big shopping.
