Hosts Ray and Sanchia were so very helpful and definitely enhanced our stay. The property has invested in back-up power supply, so no load-shedding power outages, which can happen at other accommodations. Our room was extremely comfortable, and the view as you enter the room definitely catches your attention! Great view over the bay.

We had a great stay at Gillian’s place. We booked last minute but there weren’t any issue. The room was big, well decorated and well equipped. The view from the balcony is incredible. The place is very safe and there’s a restaurant 5 min walking. The breakfast prepared by Gillian was very tasty and we had a nice chat with her in the morning. You can tell she pays attention to details to ensure her guests have the best stay. We only stayed one night but we would have been happy to stay longer in this amazing place.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Mariner Guesthouse! The staff were exceptional, and we especially want to thank Mandy for her outstanding hospitality. She went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our visit was perfect. From her warm welcome to her helpful recommendations, Mandy truly made us feel at home. The entire team was friendly and attentive, and the guest house was clean, comfortable, and inviting. We both highly recommend this place and look forward to returning in the future!

The Place is a "Wow " with breathtaking views! Unbeatable!
Deco tasteful with pure artistic style. House is bright, sunny cosy and comfortable it is clean and perfectly equipped. Seaviev from the balcony/deck is staggering with a great outlook. Close to many attractions.
Excellent service ! Kind warm and helpful. Enjoyed our stay ,and will definitely return. A gateway to remember.

With not too much rooms in the accommodation (6) and having a professional staff and being comfortable place it gives you a feeling of being at home and being a real guest instead of a number.
The owner has a little chat with you if you want and she is happy to tell you about the nicest restaurants or walking routes close by.

Everything about this property was fantastic. The room, the breakfast, the host and the view was insane. I would highly recommend this property to anyone - it was quiet, relaxing, and the perfect place for a couple.

If you have a rental car, then you have the perfect spot. you can go around short distance to Penguin beach, beach close to the guest house, the Navy museum etc. It is a small town to relax for a day or two.

Muizenberg is a relaxing surf beach with a few nice coffee shops, restaurants and surf shops , within walking distance of St James and Kalk Bay. It’s close enough to travel into Cape Town central in half an hour but far enough to have a totally different vibe

What I liked most is the on suite toilet the tranquility of the place, the neatness and the comfortable bed.
What I did not like was the fact that there was very little space for our food and drinks., maybe just to invest a small freezer or get another fridge., but otherwise place is awesome.

We loved how private it was.
We loved how private it was. That we had our own space and no one knocking. The lady that cleaned our room waited until we left to clean and when we came back she was gone and did a great job. We loved how the security waited for us until we came in to lock up. We loved how professional the staff were.
They allowed us and the bridal team to take pictures there, and even allowed the girls to get ready for the wedding in the room.
The staff were very professional and we loved that.
We had our own parking available for us so we didn’t have to walk far.
Everything was great, and we would definitely go back and longer.
Our favourite places there were the beach, muizenberg putt putt, the blue train, the mall and shops weren’t too far.
We went a little far to black Marlin restaurant, got some kfc , fish places, etc.
It was easy to get around kalk bay.

Clovelly is a lovely quiet area in between the quite lively and noisy suburbs of Kalk Bay and Fish hoek, but only a short walking distance away from them, (about 15 minutes walk) So nice if you want to have peace and quiet while you sleep. Clovelly and fish hoek beach are really close, and the nice restaruants in Kalk bay also close. There are lovely mountain paths you can walk down and hikes right out of the back garden. Lovely sunset view from the flat.

We were self-catering, and found the kitchenette inadequate. The communal kitchen is available if needed.

We had a fantastic time staying in Simon’s Town—such a charming coastal gem! The location is perfect for exploring the Cape Peninsula, with easy access to Boulders Beach and its famous penguins, as well as breathtaking drives along the coast. The town itself has a peaceful vibe, friendly locals, and some great little cafés and restaurants. Our accommodation was lovely—clean, comfortable, and with stunning ocean views that made every morning feel special. It’s the perfect base for nature lovers and those looking to unwind by the sea. Highly recommend a stay here if you're visiting the Cape!

Muizenberg is well connected to drive to Cape Town (20-30 minutes) and also to the Cape of Good Hope, or to travel both directions by train. We enjoyed the little cafés, restaurants and shops on the way to Fishhoek. It is was great to have a long beach in Muizenberg but at the time we went there we found lots of seaweed and there were some constructions going on that created unpleasant smells.

Fish Hoek is quite a busy town with several supermarkets to pick up groceries; Woolworths is excellent. And the town is nicely located on the coast for easy access to both east and west coast resorts - and Cape of Good hope, too. Excellent coast path enables you to walk to other beaches - my wife and I walked to Muizenberg, a very enjoyable stretch!

Kalk Bay is a perfect getaway for those who appreciate the finer things in life-wonderful restaurants where you are spoilt for choice, friendly locals, spectacular views of the ocean and surrounding hills. The working harbour with its fresh fish on display is really great. Lucky's fish and chips in the harbour complex is a must-including Bootleggers, The Portuguese restaurant-etc, etc! An eclectic mix of different cultures give this little gem a vibrant, welcoming hue-could happily live here!
