We spent 2 nights in Motswari Private Game Reserve and it was an unforgettable experience! Wonderful food, service, exclusivity and personal attention. Our ranger, Marius was exceptional and made every game drive and our walking safari unforgettable. His trackers, Elvis and Misha was just as amazing with their knowledge of the animals and the bush. We saw 3 of the 5 "big five" in just 1.5 days of being there, thanks to these guys. The food and service at the lodge was beyond our expectations in every way. I was a vegetarian and they catered for me with exceptional skill and charm. The food was really outstanding, thank you Glenda and team! Our other hosts, Desmond and MJ looked after every detail and made our stay wonderful. Our room was large, luxurious and comfortable. We each had a great massage too (thank you Lerato), in a space where you can watch giraffes walk by... The setting of this private lodge is amazing, you overlook a river with giraffes and elephants walking by. We even had a hyena come close to us while sitting around the camp fire - so special. This was a once in a life time experience and we hope to be back again soon!

We booked the honeymoon tent (seringa) and everything about it screams luxury. Spectacular views, super peaceful, private, love the outdoor bathtub and the sunset is out of this world. We went for a sunset game drive and we enjoyed that too. Robert made the game drive very enjoyable.

Since arrival in Hoedspruit Airport and pick-up by Kapama staff we were blown away by the quality of service. The Kapama pivate game reserve itself is hard to describe, the nature, it's smells and sounds are another dimension. The co-existence of animals and people, the respect from rangers towards flora nad fauna within the reserve - it makes you rethink your way of living. Kapama River Lodge is one of the best resorts we've ever stayed. Number one is the people, who are working there, number two is the quality of food served in restaurant and the rooms are large, beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. Our tracker Fanie and driver-guide Happiness made the 4 ride's unforgettable. They were not only professional and friendly, but they shared their knowledge, interesting facts and stories about flora and fauna in Kruger. They were not only chasing the Big 5, but did so much more. We can't wait to return someday, thank You!

Our three day trip turned out to be absolutely marvellous and we loved every bit of it. First of all, I would like to acknowledge both our guide and tracker, Sharon and Rodney. They were entertaining and very knowledgeable. They not only gave great description of every animal we came across but educated us quite a bit about the local life and even the plant species we came across. There were many Aha (!) moments for us. Thanks to Rodney and Sharon we had one of the most interesting encounters when a pride of lions were strategising to take down a buffalo. They had created a circle around them- however the extremely powerful buffalos were quite nonchalant, walked towards the male alpha and scared him off! No hunting scenes for us but on another day we saw the same pride eating what appeared to be an Impala (they had hidden the food behind a thick bush. The African elephant is a formidable beast. On the first day, seeing it cross our safari vehicle gave us some jitters. These looked more like Woolly Mammoths ( without fur) because the tusks almost touched the ground. Watching a herd of giraffe pass by gave us Jurassic park vibes. Another special moment was when a herd of female elephants walked by our camp to the river below and I could see a tiny elephant baby with a wiggly gait following its mother in the most adorable fashion. Watching every animal is exciting, be it a zebra, wildebeest, impala, kudu, funny warthogs or tortoises! Impalas were omnipresent and were described as McDonalds for lions (fast food, in a way). Among the big 5 we missed the Leopard but watching an extremely lazy Cheetah turning and tossing like like a house cat was endearing. The river lodge were we stayed is extremely beautiful. It is right across the river where we often saw a herd of Kudus and once a giant Hippo. It has all amenities you can think of and is cleaned twice a day by the extremely kind staff which made it so welcoming when we came back from a Safari.

We had been looking forward to this trip for months. And once we arrived, we were amazed. You find yourself in a paradise setting. Both the lodge and the views are unforgettable. This, combined with the “homely cosiness” created by the entire crew, makes you want to stay there forever. The game drives are of an unprecedented level. Ruan and Ntiyiso guided us and searched for trails and tracks of the animals, usually finding what they were looking for. The vastness of the area means that some days you see more game than others, but that's what makes it special because you really feel like you're not driving around in a zoo. Ruan shares his vast knowledge in a smooth and pleasant way and is always willing to provide additional explanations. (And the meals after the game drives are also great). Ruan, Ntiyiso, Caldon, Amy, Maggie and the rest of the team: we will definitely be back!

Game drives all stunning, good fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. already plotting our return, and this time we will bring friends and family to share it with. Where do I start… most incredible place I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was INCREDIBLE. We had the best Ranger (Ryan) ever, so full of energy and made our experience one never to forget. The Chef (Henlu) was the nicest guy you could ask for, our butler (Obert) also one to make us smile at every turn and would get every single detail perfect without flaw! We had the best time ever and couldn’t have wished for a better way to finish an amazing Honeymoon. Thank you so much

Having been on safari a few times before, the experience simply exceeded my expectations. I would highlight our exceptional team of Hayden and Patrick. More than simply seeing the big five, which we did, it was how we saw them and their interactions: leopard, lion, wild dog, all had it in for the hyenas! The accommodation was comfortable and authentic, the food wonderful and the staff friendly. The overnight Giraffe's Nest stay is a must. We will be back

Location was amazing to see all the wild life. We saw the Big 5 within the first 2 days. Every single staff was highly professional. The lodging was simply luxurious and amazing. Great attention to detail from start till the end of our stay. Free shuttle to and fro to airport. We were upgraded to the Mvubu Cottage - we had a private chef and all guests also had a butler, a tracker and a guide for the game drives.

Everything was simply excellent - the staff, the food (including the Boma events), the suite with the amazing terrace and view, the game drives and the animals we saw (including seeing 4 leopards 5 times and the wild dogs twice which tends to be rare on other safaris in other locations). We would definitely recommend Leopard Hills further.

Sabi game reserve is quite big with many private lodges...

Sabi game reserve is quite big with many private lodges inside. It is open to Kruger park, so animals are free to roam anywhere. The difference is that the ranger and tracker can actually follow an animal wherever they go (without entering Kruger). It is expensive , but if you can afford it, the experience is quite different. The ranger and tracker that took us for a drive from Umkumbe were great. The ranger spotted a chameleon on the tree, in the dark, under the light beam from the trackers torch, at a distance of about 25m. We have no clue how! Great experience to be able to go offroad in the vehicle and get really close to the animals. A leopard had hidden their kill in the tree, which we went back to after dark, when the leopard had come back. Unfortunately that was the only cat we saw that night. Saw a hippo and a hyena too, but that's just luck when you are out in the bush. A family on the previous night had seen the leopard kill the buck as well. The private Sabi game drive is expensive, and depending on how lucky you get, you might think it is either worth it/or a waste of money.

It was a brilliant experience, in particular the game drives and being out in the wild. The resort is excellent! Tips: No loo on a 3-hour game drive so don’t drink too much before heading out. For photographers - consider using two cameras - short lens and long lens ones. Saves having to switch lens if you have two cameras ready. Speed if reaction is required to capture some shots.

Quite a nice destination for international travelers and younger people who want to have a bush experience. For 77 year old South Africans we found the facilities not so user friendly at the Wild Olive Tree Camp. Did not really get to see much of Manyeleti but did have some good elephant sitings. In general game viewing was a bit disappointing but that is the luck of the draw.

I am South African and I was bringing my family to see where I came from and experience the bush. This place was perfect for a family . They rooms for families are excellent, giving everyone enough space and the beds where very comfy. There is no TV - but there is bush TV - each day elephants, warthogs, various species of buck, zebra etc came and spent time out the front of our deck. We sat 1m away reading a book. We go so close it was wonderful and the kids got to experience the beauty of watching an animal relaxed and happy in their own environment. Andre and Nicholas were amazing guides who were patient and funny and taught us a lot about the animals and the environment. The food was amazing and you never felt like you wanted or needed more. Pretty much everything was made onsite. The breakfast was beautiful and the Boma experience was lovely! Thank you to all the team at Simbevati River lodge for making my family’s introduction to Africa such a wonderful memorable experience! And the animals - well we saw the big 5 in less than 24 hours and because the guides know their stuff we had plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with many of Africas famous and less famous animals. The highlights were the Lion and Leopards and of course the dear family of elephants with tiny babies and also the baby hyenas! You will not be disappointed at all !

A fantastic private lodge with a beautiful rooms and tastefully decorated. The host Ian is outstanding as a person. If you are there especially for the hide photography I would recommend 4 days. We were unlucky with the two days we stayed in terms of sightings but that all changed the day we left. Hence would recommend at least 3 if not 4-5 days to better your chances.

I paid 5,700 Rand for 3 evening drives in the reserve each lasting around 3 hours. I've been on many a game drive in the area over the years and when game spotting I am optimistic and realistic at the same time. I saw a 3 lions and a leopard along with other animals. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate my overall experience as 6. If I were to travel to the area in the future I would book 1 drive and concentrate my game viewing in Kruger Park.
